I agree, but don't think either are long term viable options. We need to give up some farm players for Hanley Ramirez!
Agree, Lowrie is good for now, but I would love me some Hanley Ramirez!
Yankees are losing again. It's currently 7-2. Is Charlie Sheen playing for the Indians again? LOL.
And it's only the 2nd! Woohoo! If the Celts are gonna loose in overtime today, I would love a Yankees butt kicking to make up for it :)
yawn
[strike]16-2[/strike]
[strike]19-2[/strike]
20-2 in the [strike]4th[/strike] 5th. Best to turn it off and tend to the yard. ;)
Speaking of the Yankees, I had to let go of Wang. He is having a horrible start to the year (i.e. 34.50 ERA!)
I grabbed Masterson of the WW as he is a two start pitcher this week in a RP slot. Whoo hoo!
Cubs are tied 5-5 with the Indians. It's the bottom of the 9. Cuba are at bat. Say a prayer for me?
Weird. And I thought they were playing the Cards. :D
My internet has been going in and out (I hate Time Warner) so to come back and see this wonderful gift of a 22-4, and counting, Yankees blow-out has made this a beautiful Saturday :)

I don't watch too much baseball, but I agree. :D
How about the shellacking the Indians are giving the Yankees today? Wow is right.
BTW I am a diehard Mets fan and I just got in from my first visit to Citi Field. While it is a nice ballpark it sort of felt really strange to me. The seats are smaller and where I was sitting in left field I couldn't see the scoreboard. I kinda miss the old dump that was Shea Stadium.

I like old ballparks, so I can see where you are coming from. People are always crying about Fenway, but I think it is the gem of gems. If they built a new stadium in Boston, you'd be further away from home plate, paying 8x as much in a sanitized hospital clean ballpark with even more expensive food and beer. Doesn't sound like much fun to me.

Exactly. I like Fenway and I like Wrigley because of their old, smelly, stinky, awkward charm! Stadiums like Petco or the new Mets/Yankees ones are fine and nice and your feet probably won't be as sticky after the game as they would at Fenway, but there is just this feeling you get when you step into the old stadiums that you can't really replecate. Of the new stadiums I have been too, I think Baltimore's Camden Yards is probably the best new field that still has an "old" feel to it.

I feel the same way about Wrigley. It's beautiful and timeless. I think they should leave it as is.
I know this is a baseball thread, but can I just say that the Bruins v Habs game right now is AWESOME! Makes me wish I was back in high school so I could be playing again! Oh I miss watching good hockey, all I have are the Kings and Ducks out here, yuck.

Is it awesome because Boston's up huge? ;)
My favorite player isn't playing, but I have a couple teams that I'm cheering for apart from the Wings...until they play the Wings, if they ever do :)

Of course! But there have also been some great plays on both sides. Boston has made good use of their power plays and Price, the Habs goalie, has actually done pretty well I think. He made some great saves, without him this would have been a repeat of the Yankees bashing today! I almost feel bad for him since his teammates aren't helping him out at all, but not too bad since we are winning ;) Some good fights too, and they did a segment on Bobby Orr during the break! Who doesn't love Orr? So much tension in this series, I love it.

The Wings won big today...again. They're looking great!
After that I'm cheering for Boston and Calgary.
Sox wins!
B's win! Man that was a pitiful final 5 min! The Habs couldn't even put one in during the 5 min power play. They were just strolling around on the ice. Hopefully Lucic doesn't get suspended, that would suck especially going to play in Montreal.
Detroit and Calgary are the other 2 teams I am supporting also. Sometimes the Pens just because I like to watch Crosby play now and then.

Why are you cheering for Calgary?

I have a number of friends who are Flames fans and I think it has rubbed off on me over the years.
Why are you cheering for Boston? ;)
