Before every mission, each team must select a captain (there will be male days and female days). The winning team's captain is safe; the losing team's captain will be automatically sent to The Dome. The winning team will then deliberate and decide on one person of the same gender as the losing team's captain to also be sent into The Dome. But, there's a twist. The players sent into elimination will be joined by their exes on the winning team. Despite being on opposite teams, players will be forced to work together. You are forever bound to your ex; if you win, you stay in the game together, if you lose, you go home together. But, in the end, only one of you will win a share of the $300,000 grand prize.
I love this format, it would make Exes so much better. I feel like the Green team has this in the bag though.

On paper, I agree. But, this season revolves around some seriously heavy strategy with the captain nominations, vote wrong (and depending on the elimination) you might just lose a strong competitor or two.

The rules and format seem like a total mind ****. It'll definitely be interesting. Season summary?

Thanks! I think it would be an awesome format, so much better than another season of pairs (even if there are paired eliminations, but still).
I might do a summary in a bit :)

Wait I'm still a little confused on the format? So the winning team captain is safe and must chose someone else of that gender to go into The Dome from their team? And the losing team captain automatically goes into the Done and then their ex joins them? So is the final still in teams or in pairs?
Wait I'm still a little confused on the format? So the winning team captain is safe and must chose someone else of that gender to go into The Dome from their team? The winning team's captain is safe (and by extension, their ex). The losing Captain (and their ex) goes in. The winning team then selects another person from the losing team to go in.
Let's say it is episode 1, and it is a girl captain day. The blue team nominates Nia as their captain, green nominates Laura. At the mission, green wins, meaning Laura (and Trey) are safe from elimination.
Nia, as the losing Captain, goes straight to the Dome. Back at the house, the green team hold a deliberation vote to decide another girl from the blue team to go into the Dome against Nia. The team votes and the majority goes with Jenna. TJ then announces the twist. Jordan and Jay will be also be going to elimination and they will have to work together with their exes, Nia and Jenna.
So, the Dome match is Nia & Jordan vs Jenna & Jay. Let's say Nia & Jordan win. That means, the blue team will lose Jenna, and the green team will lose Jay.
The final is still in teams. 4 pairs of Exes make it to the end:
A possible scenario could be:
Blue:
Camila
KellyAnne
Nia
Trey
vs
Green:
Johnny
Wes
Jordan
Laura
or

I love this idea! It's really cool. But I have to ask how are Leah and Darrell on the same team? Is her "ex" CT? I've noticed people saying Leah/CT as Exes but I never understood that. I know MTV likes to stretch, but they were always more Rivals than anything else. I guess I've never understood how they can even stretch that to make them exes. But still, love the concept!

Yeah, I used her and CT. It is an ENORMOUS stretch (their kiss at the Paris reunion), but I like Leah, and people seem to think CT is a requirement so I went with it. I originally had CT/Anastasia and CT/Shauvon at one point but changed it right before posting.

I mean, always Leah over those two so no complaints here. Just curious of the reasoning. Don't even remember the kiss! I remember when he wrote her a fake love note and got her flowers pretending to be someone else hahaha.

Haha! With a bit of ****ty editing, that would be all the footage they need to stretch CT/Leah for Exes 2!

They should work in pairs though at the final. I mean I would hate to help my Ex win eliminations then lose the final. Also, no need for male/female days since pairs are still going in. This way it furthers strategy on who to pick as captains. But I like it!

Yeah, I considered dropping the gender day requirement as it isn't necessary. I like the idea of them remaining in teams as it puts more tension in the game (you battling your Ex), but I understand why it would be frustrating.
It's also a little sticky because if your Ex on the other team is captain and your team wins, you're going into the Dome. So if Jonna is captain of one team and Camila is too, Zach would want the other team to win so Jonna is safe and also saving himself. If he helps his team win, he's putting himself in the Dome.
I would love another Cutthroat.
3 teams was very interesting. The secret voting may need to change though.
I disagree on that. The secret voting was one of the best parts!
I disagree on that. The secret voting was one of the best parts!
I liked the secret voting, I just didn't like how some people were calling Brad, Tori, Dunbar, Paula and Tyler racist for sending Brandon in all the time.

There should be a rule that a player can not be voted in on two consecutive occasions (meaning if the red team lost the first mission and voted Brandon in, they could not vote him again until the third time they lost a mission).

I disagree, why should a team need to risk a strong player when they have anchors. like how Katie and big easy were voted in twice in a row

That's the flaw, people would throw missions to save there own ***
Finals Location: Glasgow, Scotland
I always see Glasgow and Scotland as locations for these challenges and being from Glasgow myself it always makes me laugh. Only have a finale here if you want it to be the greyest, most depressing final ever.
Lots of fields though I guess.

Brandon was not an anchor at all on Cutthroat, he was the whipping boy just because he wasn't part of the inner clique on the red team. There was nothing he could have possibly done that would have been good enough for his team to give him a break. Systems like this let mob players and political masterminds skate all the way through which gets rather frustrating and predictable after awhile. This is why I would love to see the scoreboard used in Battle of the Sexes return. It would be nice to see a format like that used again that holds all competitors accountable based on how they perform in the missions.

And bottom two scores of each gender go into elimination.
The score board is done with in BMP's eyes. It doesn't create enough drama (it's too simple to just vote off the lowest score).
Such bull****. If I were in the house, I would definitely make fun of people who talk a big game but have a low *** score.

I never said he was, I'm saying a rule about not voting in the same person back to back is stupid because of people like Katie and Eric.

Watching the worst 2 of each gender every week isnt exciting, that makes bad elimination rounds.
If that happened then people like laurel and Emily would never go in to elimination. And bananas would make the final and probably win again.

Points can change weekly. Say Emily DQs once or twice, she could very well end up in elimination.

True but if they did bring the scoreboard back I'd rather see the top 3 for each gender vote someone to face the person with the worst score.
