4 Veterans (3 or more challenge appearances) - 2 guys and 2 girls.
12 Rookies (2 or less challenge appearances) - 6 guys and 6 girls.

I think with this draft pool and format having 2 of the first 3 selections is a lot more desirable than having the first pick. Nonetheless, Marlon was my pick. Having only appeared on 1 challenge so far, he is a very formidable rookie. Not only does he bring great athleticism to my team but he has great hookup potential.

If you look at the draft pool there are a lot more quality veterans for fewer slots so it made sense to target the good rookies first. Plus I know DA isn't a fan of Johnny Backpack so I figured I could get him later.

I find it annoying because if you do it pick by pick then that's about 24 posts about the same cast which just unneeded IMO.

It's hard to argue this pick. Frank is one of the most complete challengers in recent history. Not only does he have great physcial endurance but he has the brains to outsmart his opponent.
Jenny is an interesting first pick because she has yet to appear on The Challenge. This is a risky pick but it could pay off if she lives up to her potential.

However, with this format, and each team only having two veteran guys I knew I could wait on them. Look at who was available for the veteran guys: JB, Frank, Zach, Leroy, Wes, Tyler, Dustin, etc. Even if the top 2 from that pool are taken I'm still left with several top tier players to choose from.
IMO this game won't be won based on the strength of the veterans but on the strength of the rookies.

The thought here was to continue taking as many solid rookie guys as possible. I liked Reilly's attitude on his first and only challenge. He also showed potential by excelling during the final.
