Anyone here a fan of the ESPN week 1 Monday doubleheader? I have enough trouble staying up for the first game on Monday Night, let alone a game that starts at 10:15 ET and will probably run for 3+ hours.
Not really a fan of watching TV in real-time period. I can make exceptions when 2+ games run concurrently because I can flip back and forth flip during commercials breaks. Note that as both teams playing after 10 are West coast teams and are pretty bad in general, you're not their target audience for that particular game. :D

Ha yeah, last year when the Chiefs/Chargers played it was the 9:15 game and I was too tired for football. BUUUT that was when the Chiefs surprised me and ended up winning.
Sadly that won't happen this year... especially now without Tony Moeaki and Eric Berry.

I completely agree. Our offense looked great for the first 3 quarters. We got a little sloppy in the 4th, but that is not all uncommon when you have a double digit lead. Cutler made minimal mistakes, Roy Williams looked good, and our defense was stellar as usual. Very pleased with week 1.
Now let's see what we can do against the saints!
Just woke up and checked the final score of the Pats game... I can't believe Brady's stats! 3 rushing yards! When did he become such a daredevil risk taker? :sarcastic_hand:
Someone should tell him that running like that could get him hurt and will most definitely mess up his perm.

I don't think he was running on that play, he just tripped on the snap and had some random forward momentum with a lucky hole in the line. ;)
In the end, when you throw for 517 - you don't need to mess up your perm with that running stuff, heh.
The Bears were fine in the first half, then the entire offensive line just crumbled. Couldn't even watch past the 3rd quarter.
No team in the NFL goes from red hot (week 1 vs. the Falcons) to ice cold (week 2 vs. the Saints) faster and more often than the Chicago Bears.

Honestly if the Chiefs do end up being the worst team this year, I don't see them taking Andrew Luck with the first pick. We invested a lot in Matt Cassel. I think out of all of those teams, Seattle needs him the most. Tavaris Jackson isn't taking that team anywhere.

I would be shocked if Andrew Luck isn't the number 1 pick this year regardless of who has the pick. He is being labeled by ESPN as the best and most polished prospect since Peyton Manning. When a guy has as high of a ceiling as Luck does, any team with a QB not named Rodgers, Brees, Rivers, or Brady will draft him.
Looks like it will be the Lions and Bills in the superbowl (joking). But it is about **** time the Lions won at Minnesota. That catch Calvin Johnson made in overtime was incredible.
So sad:

The Lions are 4-0 and there is only one other undefeated team in the league, that is the first time I have ever been able to say that! So glad they came back on the Cowboys like they did, after certain players and coaches talked so much s*** about the Lions throughout the week. Rob Ryan the Cowboys d cordinator said that Calvin Johnson didn't compare to their two best wideouts, whatever he is smoking I would like some of it. Love what Jim Schwartz said after the game, "Indulge me for a second. I’m just glad that the third-best receiver on their team is on our team."

Peyton Manning deserves the MVP this season.
No really, look at how awful the Colts are without him, he HAS to be the most valuable player in the league.
