That was EPIC!!!
Also this is what I'm betting. In order for the Titans to make the playoffs:
Assuming the Chargers lose to the Lions today, the Titans will need the Bengals to lose to the Ravens and the Jets to beat the Dolphins in Week 17. They will also need the Chargers to beat the Raiders. That way the Broncos are the AFC West Champion and the Titans are the sixth seed.
If the Raiders beat the Chargers, the Titans need the Chiefs to beat the Broncos. Then the Raiders would be the AFC West Champions.
With my luck, everything will go according to plan, but the Titans won't win...seems like that's happened the past few years. But then again this is just a scenario. Probably won't happen ever haha.
Well, the Lions won, so that's a start...
Which was fantastic!!! The only thing I'm really worried about is the Titans winning. We play the Texans and we lost horribly to them earlier in the year. So my hopes are a tad low.

And about 14 of those players are on IR now.
Yikes...49 unanswered points for the Pats after being down by 21 in the first quarter. They are looking tough right now.
Titans v. Texans was a good game although it ending on a bad snap while going for 2 was a bit anticlimactic.

Of course the Titans win when I'm not watching and stuck in a car in the middle of Alabama. Just my luck.
Tim Tebow threw for 60 yards today. That has to be a record...
Looks like his passer rating was 20.6. On the other hand, Terry Bradshaw played in three games where his passer rating was 0.0. The last one, he was 2 of 13 for 3 yards.
They lost that game.
Wow how about Jared Allen with 22 sacks this season! He is an absolute monster at defensive end. Would of liked to see him take the record since Michael Strahan didn't exactly earn that last sack on Brett Favre a few years ago...
For those with gambling interests, Texans-Bengals this Saturday has to be a game to stay away from, you would think. Possibly Jake Delhomme starting on one team against a team starting a rookie QB -- just plain scary.

In defense of Bradshaw, he played in an era before the competition comitee made it a 15 yard penalty and an automatic first down for looking at the QB crosseyed. If linemen in this day and age were allowed to pound Tebow like the good old days, I'm sure he could put up negative passing yards in a game. :)
The Falcons looked horribly flat today making it a snoozer of a game (not that I really care about either team anyway.)
The matinee should be a bit more interesting as I can root against Tebow, at least until he gets yanked and benched...

As a part-time Coloradan now, I feel like I should be rooting for Denver, but since you'll be rooting against the Broncos and I can't stand anything orange, I think I'll spend the afternoon fight the checkout lines at COSTCO.
Not the state I was expecting to be red...
Tebow playing with a lead in the 4th quarter? This is probably only the 2nd or 3rd time all season this has happened.
For now...that was a huge fumble Pittsburgh just got.
...And just like that, it's Tebow Time.
I'm not sure what it means, but every time I type "Tim Tebow" my phone auto corrects it to "Tim Renowned."
Anyway...this has turned into quite the game!
Broncos are getting after Big Ben today. 5 sacks on an injured quarterback is probably not what Mike Tomlin had in mind.
He looked horrible during that last posession.
Wow. What a way to win.
In the end, it turned out well. I have no doubt the Pats would rather play Denver (who they beat convincingly) than Pittsburgh (who beat them.)
I really hate NFL overtime rules, and I'm not just saying that because of what just happened.
I agree. The college system makes more sense and gives both teams a fair shake.

It essentially comes down to luck and a 50-50.
I'd love to see them take the same rules as college, except maybe forcing them to go for 2 at 2OT instead of 3, or starting from the 40 or 50 instead of the 25. They are professionals, after all...
The college overtime rules are pretty dumb. They just remove kickoff and punts completely. I think the NFL overtime rules are fine the way they are. There is no perfect system for overtime. Teams that get the ball first only win like 52% of the time anyways.
