In the Season 39 premiere, one castaway gets fired up when learning a lesson on the Island of the Idols, where Boston Rob Mariano and Sandra Diaz serve as mentors in an all-new twist. Also, castaways question whether likability will prove to be a liability.
I realized the other day I work in the same company as Chelsea lol.
Also the title must be Sandra's saying.
So hyped for this season even with the bullshit twist. Cast looks great
The seasons I’m always the less excited about always end up being the best ones so I’m cautiously optimistic.
David vs Goliath and Millennial vs Gen Ex. are the best seasons in the 30s.
Worst winners though lmao. I hate nick and Adam
The premise is trash so I have the lowest expectations I've ever had for a season.
I guess that means there is room to be pleasantly surprised.
HvHvH was low key lit too if you stop watching like two episodes before the finale
Cast looks good. Rooting for Lauren, Janet, Kellee, Molly and Chelsea.
Cast looks awesome, especially the women. And I heard production was pleasantly surprised with how the twist played out so hoping that’s a good thing. Can’t wait for tonight.
The cast is great but I already feel like they will waste too much time with rob and sandra so we're not going to get to know most of the people
I wouldn't mind skipping this and going to 40. Im more hyped for that..
If this season gives me 2 or 3 characters I will be satisfied.
Last season besides Wardog, Ron, Wentworth and pre merge Victoria i hated every single person.Even Rick.
Huge fan of the Purple buffs tbh.
Can I also say....when will these people learn to not wear stupid shit? If Survivor told me to wear something nice I'm coming in my sweats and bathing suit LOL
they pick out your clothes for you lol
Production picks your outfit
This is by far the dumbest thing ever then.
I'm loving missy already
Why do people think all girl alliances will work still
It seems so rushed without the Marooning. Glad they stopped that.
Wait so they don't actually get an idol? It's literally just tips on gameplay? That's not worth it imo
She would’ve gotten an idol that could be used for the next two tribals, and she learned how to make fire. She was just dumb.
But this premiere has been clutch so far. I enjoyed the twist too, and the cast (mainly the women) is great too.
The cast is great. I really like all of them so far.
I posted before they revealed that.An idol you can only use in two tribal councils still isn't worth it tho. This whole thing just wastes time.
Hows it not worth it? Lol. If she won.. she’d have an idol. If you’re in a good position in the game it could be extremely beneficial. And she learned to make fire.
IMHO You should take the time to learn to make fire before flying to Fiji if you are serious about winning...
Anyway, I'm just not really sure what they are going to teach in the coming weeks. I mean what else can you teach? Be smarter? Don't get voted out? The premise of mentors for Survivor is flimsy because there is almost nothing they can do to make people better at Survivor. You can't make someone athletic in a few hours. You can make someone socially savvy in a few hours. There is nothing they can do other than handing out gimmick advantages.
That said, I enjoyed the first episode. I guess as long as the Rob/Sandra distraction doesn't get too bad, this season has a chance to be entertaining.
She'd have one for two tribals. One where she's not targeted and another she might not even be apart of because her tribe could win. Super helpful
Okay I just watched the episode but CBS totally spoiled who lost immunity by showing a quick clip of Lairo going to tribal with a “survivor will be right back”.
This episode was really good. Boston Rob and Sandra didn’t annoy me so that’s good. It’ll be interesting to see what other lessons they will teach.
Are Ron and Sandra going to be doing this all season? Or just thenext 6 to 7 episodes before merge.
I cringe at a finale where they give advice on who the final immunity holder should bring to the end.
Although I am kinda glad that the island of idols isn't just giving someone whatever unfair advantage they think of.
This comment is very sexist
