Norm's "The Wedding Video"
Has anyone seen this yet? It stars Norm, Heather B., Julie, Rachel, Sean and a few other former RWers. It is hilarious and Heather B. steals the show. Everyone's playing fictionalized versions of themselves. I know I posted it in another thread, but I wanted to make sure people knew about it!

I wonder if Netflix has it.... ....they do! Netflix Online Movie Rentals - Rent DVDs, Classic Films to DVD New Releases

where's Beth?
where's Beth?
She wasn't in it. She did, however, talk smack about it in the first episode of "Battle of the Seasons." She was telling people that Norm was "almost 40" and that Norm and his movie were "failures." So what if this movie wasn't any box office success and had limited release---it has a cult following with RW fans! The RWers in it were Norm (of course), Heather B., Julie (New York), Rachel (San Fran), Cory, Mike (Miami), Sean, Lars, and Syrus. Lindsay had a short appearance at the beginning, and Coral had a brief voice-only cameo. Everyone else in the movie was an actor or a relative of Norm or a relative of the original RW producers.

thats gotta be wrong because BOTSEASONS WAS 2002 and thats when Beth was talking about it.
thats gotta be wrong because BOTSEASONS WAS 2002 and thats when Beth was talking about it.
"The Real World/Road Rules Battle of the Sexes" (2003) Release date (Wedding Video - May 2003/ BOTS - January 2003) and when they were shot are two different things. They were both most likely filmed at some point in 2002 and released in early 2003 (after post production.)
When was this movie produced?
Honestly, I don't know. I think it was produced around the late 90's/early 2000's, but not released until 2003. It had to be prior to 2001 because that's the year Julie had her first baby. I don't think she was married yet when the movie was made---one of the scenes filmed was of her in a ****** apartment [yes, it was really hers] that she was living at before she moved in with her now husband.
Release date and when they were shot are two different things.
Bacchus is right. Some movies, if they have a very low budget for instance, can take years to get theatrically released.

Julie had a child? lemme guess her husband is Kevin? lol
Here we go:
The Wedding Video is a mockumentary comedy film starring and directed and written by Norman Korpi. Filmed in 1998 and completed in 2001 it was not released until 2003 by TLA Video.
[via Wikipeida: The Wedding Video ]
Julie had a child? lemme guess her husband is Kevin? lol
Uh, no. Julie married a chef named Josh Gentry around '98. If you got a copy of People Magazine's issue celebrating MTV's 20th anniversary back in '01, there was a spread of the first season RW cast, and there was a picture of Julie, her husband and her new baby son. The baby looked just like Julie. Her husband looked like one of those 20-something guys who's prematurely aged (thinning hair, wearing it spiky). [No, before you ask, I no longer have a copy of that.] And according to this article (click red) from '04, Julie had another kid. (I have no clue what the gender is.) For all I know, she may have had more kids since! And no, Kevin is not the father of either. I always thought Julie would stay in New York and pursue Broadway dancing, but if she's happy with her life back in Birmingham, all the power to her. (I hope she's still teaching dance down there like she was doing pre-kids.)

awesome. i have an affinity for Julie and I was being sarcastic about Kevin.
...I was being sarcastic about Kevin.
I know. I should've used smilies or something to let you know that I knew! Here's one!:victory: Seriously, Julie hasn't made a public appearance since '01 (if you count that People Magazine spread, she actually didn't appear on the 10-year reunion because she was due with her first baby any day then), and Norm and Becky haven't appeared on anything since that Challenge (did Norm make another Challenge appearance after that?), and the last thing I remember Heather doing was that AOL commercial and random guest appearances on Ricki Lake. All said, what in the **** have happened to Julie, Norm, Heather, Becky and Andre? (I don't need to know about Eric Nies---he's MTV's *****, and Kevin is frequently in the media for one thing or another.) It's like they've disappeared off the face of the planet. Show yourselves!:search:

most season one cast of tv shows disapear. its that same way with movies. take power rangers for instance where the **** are they? Norman did the original Gauntlet. I think he even made it to the end.
most season one cast of tv shows disapear. its that same way with movies. take power rangers for instance where the **** are they?
Amy Jo Johnson (first Pink Ranger) did a lot of acting (Felicity, made-for-TV movies) after, and Thuy Trang (first Yellow Ranger) died in a car accident in the early 2000's. Such a sad loss---I liked her. She said she left the show to pursue martial arts movies. Too bad she didn't live to pursue that goal. Walter Jones (first Black Ranger) did a few TV shows and things as well. The last thing I remember him on was VH1's "I Love the 90's" snarking on PR. As for the rest of the PRs---I don't remember.
Norman did the original Gauntlet. I think he even made it to the end.
Good for him! The oldies need to kick those new kids' butts!

LOL As for Norman I think he was like the only one that wasn't mad at Coral. Go to Online videos: From home videos to premium internet television content | Veoh Video Network and you can watch The Gauntlet there.
There's nothing like original PR's. The new ones suck especially Jungle Fury which is why i watch them in Japanese FTW. LOL
PR still comes on?! Dag. Go to Online videos: From home videos to premium internet television content | Veoh Video Network and you can watch The Gauntlet there.
I think that's why Norm added Coral (and Lindsay) to TWV at the last minute. He met them at BOTS and guess he wanted to add them. I wish I knew the real story as to what went down with Beth and Norm that led to that BOTS mess. I mean, Beth was talking smack about Norm and the movie (which I mentioned a few pages back) and Norm was calling her "Osama Beth Ladin." And when it came down to voting, he made sure Beth was gone! (Though poor Jon had to suffer the consequences of that.) Then he interviewed that she was a "liar." We all know Beth had ambitions of being an actress. I wonder if she thought the movie would make her a star and got mad when she realized it was low-budget? Or maybe she (knowing how she claims to have connections in the industry, though we know that's not true) claimed she knew someone who'd help get the movie going and it didn't go through. Whatever the real reason, there was drama going on between those two!

Yeah I agree man. The whole OBL comment shouldn't have been made. I have a question: was BOTSEASONS FILMED BEFORE OR AFTER 9-11?
If you got a copy of People Magazine's issue celebrating MTV's 20th anniversary back in '01, there was a spread of the first season RW cast...
I found Norm and Heather's pages from that spread (<---click), but as for the others, it's a no-go. I used to have that freaking issue of People, but it got damaged. I've tried looking for it on Ebay, but no luck. Some magazine companies maintain copies of backissues, but I'm not sure if they'd keep something seven years old. Oh well.

yeah they do. if television keeps vaults of movies and episodes why not magazines?
yeah they do. if television keeps vaults of movies and episodes why not magazines?
Apparently they don't. I just spent 10 minutes on the phone with People's customer service people, got bounced around three times and ended up with nothing. It's like they don't know that this issue exists. I know the issue exists: I bought a copy of it when it came out, and the link I posted above has two clippings from it. How can these fools not know about it? It's annoying. ETA: When one door closes, another opens. I went to Ebay, and color me surprised there was a copy on sale using "Buy It Now." You know I snatched that sucker up immediately! If the quality's nice, I'll scan all the "Where Are They Now?" for each of them.
