Real World Hollywood: Kimberly Alexander

even though i don't really care for kim at this point, i also hope she turns out to be a better person maybe they can all grow and understand each other's way of life and make any changes for the better that need to be made, it would be hard to move in with 7 strangers and not have any issues, so i wish all of them the best and hope at the end of the season maybe they can be friend's or at least be nice to each other.

I may be really cynical and going against everything that Real World is SUPPOSED to be about, but who really changes??? Who does anyone know personally that has COMPLETELY revised their core character for the better. I am sure Kim will say she changed in the confessional towards the end, but I just think that it takes more than four months to change an entire judgemental, stuck up, and narrow minded thought process that you have had your entire life. Not saying it isn't possible, just isn't likely in my opinion.

It's easy to say you have changed/will change once you've seen your regular behavior on blast for the whole world to see, but it will be quite different I imagine once she gets back into her everyday environement. I may be wrong, I'm just speaking of human nature in general. But her comment a few weeks ago of "You know what, most strippers strip to pay for their drugs, [B]and THAT is the truth[/B]!". She seems very set in her ways of things she's heard and probably been brought up thinking.

In a little over 21 years, she appears to have picked up some baggage. Getting life lessons weekly in front of 2 million people can't be much fun, but I think she is smart enough to learn from the experience. With only a very few bad choices between ages 15 and 19, Kim could easily be "Brianna." Does anyone remember that Goldie Hawn started out her working life as a dancer, too? I think she turned out fine...if not delicious.

Great Post V1man, I could not have said it better myself!!! And Goldie Hawn is amazing!! People grow and change in their own little ways, and sometimes if not born privleged, you have to work you way up from the bottom!!!

Who is Kim going to learn from? Everyone in the house is up to trifling hijinks. She comes off as a woman that has been raised to view people outside her social affiliation as "ghetto" or tokens to their race or culture. She reminds me of the teacher for Chris Rock's show "Everybody Hates Chris." Kim's not going to learn anything.

There are certain imperatives in part of Charleston's culture, and I don't doubt that she had demonstrated what some would call and insular view. I'll be sad if she has not grown from the experience. By the way, the same woman VP makes the casting decisions for [B]The Bad Girl's Club [/B]and [B]The Real World[/B].
