wow.. first time poster but long-time reader. Nick, my dude... you quickly became my fav cast member (maybe ever) with this last episode. and the way you stood up to Sarah and Kim was awesome. mainly tho -- dont change the way you talk or type. you're good with us who can understand you
Management Information Systems
Nick, I seriously <3 you...To me you come across as the realest person this season other than Brianna and your way with words cracks me up. I can't wait to see you hosting something though, you were a natural in front of the camera.

I finally saw the last half of the ep last night and : a) I can't re-iterate enough how much of a b**** I think Sarah is. b) Brianna, put me in line to buy your CD. YOU are a star, and your voice is beautiful. c) Nick, my boyfriend cracked up when you called Sarah a 'poser'. I don't remember the exact words but you were gong off about how she acts and this and that and you said "she's a poser man". **** Can we please extend this season???
yeah Sarah is crazy.. she didnt approach Nick about her issue but instead tried to get him in trouble with Charna. SO im was glad when Charna chose Nick to work with Brandon. AND the look on Sarah face when he outperformed her... he redeemed himself good.
SO im was glad when Charna chose Nick to work with Brandon.
I'm pretty sure charna got the internship opportunity for sarah, kim AND nick. Brandon thought Nick stood out.
Also...I have to say it. And just because Nick is here doesn't mean I shouldn't. "Them chicks is fo' self". I kinda vaguely remember Dave being like.... "what??" when Nick said it to him in the episode and I wanted to be like "Yeah, we don't know what that means...we speak English." lol
what you mean, "we," white man?
On a random aside: This youtube video is a stretch for the subject, but decided I should throw it in.
haha! that video is a trip. i hope that wasn't live :/
Yes Charna did choose Sarah, Kim and Nick for the internship.. I just like how Charna picked Nick in particular even though he was new to the experience. like Sarah said "you've only been here 2 weeks Charles Barkley!!". Both Kim and Nick have a "real" charm to them, thats why they excelled that night. and Sarah bombed because she lacks realness.

Like I said, her interviews WERE terrible....they were giving her NOTHING.....and she excels and has experience in hard news. not entertainment. its a totally different journalistic ballgame. As a former Journalist...I will definitely defend her here.

I have seen her do "hard news" and she seems better in a more strictly defined environ. http://youtube.com/watch?v=8mMnL0fYYs4 Although, she does come across here (on MSNBC) as over rehearsed which I think goes to prove that she just might not be a great "front of the house" personality. She just doesn't resonate with me as real and I don't think she has the ability to project on her feet in off the cuff situations (because of an OCD induced perfectionist syndrome.) She is very smart and maybe best suited for more of a research and development role or management within the news genre. ;)
thanks for posting that! I think shes great for broadcast
has anyone seen this video? YouTube - MTV's Real World Exclusive Interview
Hey thanks for posting this too! haha johanna "i dont remember my favorite moment...cuz i was completely wasted" lol
Sarah and her fake personality are perfect for broadcast journalism. She had the over dramatized, over prounounced, lots of head bobbing, lots of hand gestures cliches down pat. She'll be perfect!
Sarah on CNN?? pretty impressive. i never doubted her skills.. she seems capable of delivering the news. She still did a ****** job interviewing those movie-goers. and it had nothing to do with her credentials (only serious news journalist major) it had to do with her inability to relate to people. She can't relate to Bri, Joey, the movie-goers.. she's full of fakeness but i dont think she realizes it
man i need to lay off Sarah a bit.. so on other hand Bri blew me away this last episode. When she started crying after hearing her song being played, i made me forget about that dude JoJo.... and the stripping.... and her warrant. the lovable Bri is back and thanks to Will for always encouraging her and seeing the talent she has.
what you mean, "we," white man?
not sure if youre joking or not but...i'm pretty sure by "we" they were referring to the people who didn't understand nick, because you know, thats what they were talking about. they were saying they didnt understand one phrase that one individual said. not once did race come up in the conversation. and i assumed they were just joking about inferring that nick doesnt speak english. i think if you were serious, you are reading way too into someone's word choice and taking things out of context to fit your agenda... but that's just my understanding...

Uh-oh we got a *******. *sirens wail in distance*
Uh-oh we got a *******. *sirens wail in distance*
wait, wait, wait, are you talking about me? if so, i'm far from a *******. it's just the second time i've seen that person question someone's word choice and assume it was racially based when it was obvious the people were talking about themselves and anyone else who shares their opinion or someone else and everyone who shares an opinion with that person.

I guess that lone ranger thing is just less well known than I thought. Ha ha, it's kind of corny, my mom used to say it all the time (and she's white, *shrug*). But I guess maybe it's something that rings a bell more with older folks than anyone else. I thought racial/cultural undertones came into the conversation when Bacchus posted the comment about getting out of the 'burbs and then with that video of the newscaster switching between speech patterns. So I was kind of playing off that vibe, but I guess it didn't work so well.
