Haha, I like Sarah.... just not Terrence.
See, I don't like Terrence or Sarah. She is the gullible type, waaaaaaay too giddy and actually likes Terrence. As it has been said, it is not what you are but what you like - and if she likes him I don't like her. ;)
As for last night's episode, I was a little angry about the "arm break" teaser that was not very fruitful. Star looks like she got a big scratch and maybe hyper extended her arm at worst. Team Nick & Star is not going anywhere...
I was not disappointed to see the barbies finish last. They didn't bring much to the race beyond awkward, "Holy Sh** they are stupid!" moments.
At this point am also pulling for Dallas and Mom. They are running a clean campaign and the pickings are slim, which means that next week the brunettes look to become mortal enemies.
p.s. After being tricked this week into thinking something dramatic was going to happen, I am not falling for the Terrence gets arrested/pulled over trailer.
I hate weeks like this, where you know who is going home in the first 10 minutes. As hard as they tried to conceal that reality the entire episode, it was obvious Aja & Ty were doomed.
1. When they don't make a flight with the rest of the group.
2. When they do those sneaky cuts that scream, "OMG! THEY ARE RIGHT BEHIND US!" - but never show the last place team and second to last place remotely near each other.
3. When the sky is clear for the lead pack but it looks like there is about to be a monsoonal downpour for the last place team.
...you know who is going home.
The only hope I had was that Phil did say, "May be eliminated" - so I figured they had a shot. I bet next week is a bye week.
As for who I am pulling for, Dallas an Mom are still at the top of my list and I continue praying for acts of God to take down Terrance and Sarah. :D
Has it always been in the rules that if you violate traffic laws that you will incur a time penalty? The was a *** moment for me. But since it was Terrance I didn't care.

Phil mentioned it at the end and said the 30 minute penalty did not effect the outcome of that leg, but would be added to the start of the next.
I know but, is it in the rules somewhere that there will be a time penalty if they did break any laws, traffic or otherwise?
It's never happened before, so I wonder if participants are aware of it before hand.
I also got the impression that the only reason the 30 minutes will be dealt with at the beginning of the next leg instead of that one was because it wouldn't have affected the outcome. I believe that was what Phil said.

Yes, there has always been a rule about speeding a penalty, with one being given out in season 2.
It doesn't matter (in this case) where the penalty is added as it equals the same start time on the next leg no matter what and it did not affect the outcome of the last leg.
I knew that it was going to be a non-elimination leg! Overall a good, a fast paced episode - but being no one left, everything that happened was all for naught. I can smell a throwaway episode (from the interviews) and the lack of urgency is always a buzz kill.
Thanks Bacchus for posting that video. I kind of feel bad for Dan. It seems like he was being put through the wringer and I'm not entirely sure he is to blame for the suckiness of their team.
I felt bad for them for about 2 minutes last night (well I still felt bad for Dan) until Drew totally lost all of my respect (and there really wasn't much there) when he whined and complained the whole time during the uturn. Seriously, it is a race and a competition. Even if you have never ironed a day in your life at least make an effort. He's a *******.
Because The frat boys didn't come in last, it was no surprise that it was a non-elimination round. We were due one anyway. I'm not overly concerned with Ken and Tina. They are a strong team and I'm sure it won't take them much to get back in the race. You just know that TAR is going to have them all layed up at the airport and on the same flight. I'm hoping Tina realizes that Ken is at the breaking point and smartens up. Gosh she is a **** sometimes.
I really wanted Terrance and Sarah to be the last but they managed to pull out of their bad luck.
Someone is going to have to fill in blank spots for me. The football overrun has bitten me this week.
I watched up to the point where Dallas/Mom Nick/Star got through the detour and then picked up right at the very end where the frat boys came to the finish line ahead of the divorcees (so I missed about 17 minutes.)
So I guess I need to know, how did cheater and his wife make up the time? And who won?

Nick and Star won with Dallas and Mom close behind. The divorcees and frat boys were looking at the wrong numbers and had to go back on the detour multiple times. Ken and Tina came in after the speed bump and finished the detour before the frat boys and the girls. The divorcees finished last and were eliminated. Does that cover everything you missed?

That would be it in a nutshell. Thanks!
I can't say I am disappointed the divorcees were eliminated although I am not feeling much love for the frat boys either. Like I've been saying, this year has been weak personality wise (although I still love the show.)
At this point I guess I'd rank my teams:
Dallas/Mom
Football/Wife
Frat Boys
Nick/Star
Terrance/Sarah
I wanted to smack Terrance while he was in the cab whining about the powered dye in his nose. He is such a baby! Obviously an only child and surely spoiled to the core. "Mom & Pop" are growing on me. I like to see a couple work through their difficulties on the race and seem to gravitate toward these types of couple teams (often looking past their annoyance factor.) Still, right now Dallas/Mom are the team to beat on my list. Good natured and fun - they are the most deserving in my mind and the team I'd like to see cross the finish line in first.
Next week will probably be a non elimination if history holds true, although I'll have to look up when the finale is slated for to get a better idea of how the final episodes will break down.
I'm over my dislike for Nick, probably because Star is about the only reason I seem to remain interested this season. I don't know why I found the divorcees to be appealing in spite of their apparent ability to always be clueless at the most important of times (like not asking your taxi to wait).

I also like Star, but Nick - Oh Nick. I just can't get past his pettiness. I'm not as forgiving as I'd like to be. That doesn't mean I'd be devastated if they won as Star being such a button does count for something.
I want to see a Dallas/Star love connection!

Let's be honest. You really just want to see their *** tape when it's leaked...:sofa:

Actually, being Dallas has a history of letting his private, naked goodies get out to the net - I'm counting down the days! ;)
for some reason i like the frat guys... I feel bad for the one with the red afro (dan)... They are very clueless, but they are somewhat entertaining. I totally think they had something going on with the divorcees... besides them always calling them "Dandrew" everytime they can, andrew said "for semi-attractive" girls and the girls in last nights episode which one of the guys would you kiss? it seemed like a school yard crush...
I either want Dallas and Toni or Dan and Andrew to win... I'm thinking next week is a non elimination round again
I wanted to post last night, but I couldn't and now I forget what I was going to say.
I'm agreeing that Starr is not that hateable anymore. Nick has is okay moments. Same with Ken and Tina. But when she is having a **** day then I can't stand her.
It was hard not to feel bad for the divorcee with the paint. Although she was stupid for not getting it right, but I did feel bad that they were brutally going after her.
I loved the divorcees but, seriously, how many times have they misread the clues? You'd think they would start reading closer.
But I want to smack Terrance. He annoys the **** out of me...I wanted to hit him with paint myself.
I loved the divorcees
Give me Dustin & Kandice any day. If there is to be a hot female team, make them really hot and really shifty. ;)
I thought there would be a party happening over here! C'mon, where's the cheer section?
Yay! Buh Bye Terrence!
If next week isn't a non-elimination DanDrew can pretty much say their good-byes now. They just have no luck and can't work together.

I knew it was going to be a good episode the second both teams went for the fast forward, but didn't know it was going to be a great episode until I heard the fatal words "you have been eliminated from the race" from Phil. He was really tricky this week and even used the "good news is" inflection and a long pause when setting up their demise. Great play by the producers, as I was convinced this was a non-elimination leg based on past seasons.
As for the frat boys, like you said they are done for. They are not very smart, not very physically inclined and don't work well together. Odds are they will not make the final 3 unless something crazy happens (with flights. etc.)
Nick and Star are the team to beat (but still third on my favorites list.)
This episode was GREAT! Good bye Terrence and Sarah!
I think we can all agree that the frat boys are the next to go. Which is a good thing because I really didn't like them anyways.
I am still pulling for Toni and Dallas to win it! Nick and Star are my 2nd favorite. ;)
I am guessing a non-elimination episode tonight...
Which means lots of running around to decide who gets to do the speed bump two weeks from now (and my guess is the frat boys.)
