Good post. I have said way too much about the CT/Adam incident, and truth is it does looks like a detterent on what appears to be one of the better challenges in a while. Cuddos to the trailer editing on this one. Everything from the clips to the music was on point.
I hope like hell MTV posts the episodes online in a timely fashion because otherwise, I cannot watch from here.
I am really intrigued to see the game of Rookies vs Vets in this one, I'm also curious to see how Ruthie and Mark (2 old schoolers who have been awol) play into the game. As for Tori/Brad, that too will be an interesting dynamic, and something tells me it's more interesting than we think.
We'll see, and thanks personally for helping me put back in perspective the aspect of a potentially good challenge, and not a schoolyard fight that imo has deterred the reputation of challenges in the past.
hey eveyrone! i read this all the time first time posting. does anyhone know if ct and diem talk still or were civil for the few hrs ct was there? it looked like she was telling someone during the fight to stop it i assume she meant to ct to stop hitting adam. anyone know how long that fight lasted or if adam held his own at all besides giving ct that big bump on his cheek he at leastgot one punch in . i read all these pages and hasn't been specifically addressed just curious i liked them together. heard gauntlett 3 broke htem up bc of how he treated her but i think deep down he liked her a lot ...any stories a bout those 2 that anyone can share?

The second 3 minute trailer shows that they changed it a little bit. The original Duel had girls safe on guy duel days and guys safe on girl duel days. The trailer shows the last girl and guy picked both go into the duel. This is all we have for now but their maybe more changes. There was speculation that were were partners or teams, but I'm not sure if anyone confirmed it.

How would you like it confirmed?
There are some missions where people are paired together. In the final mission there is also a paring of sorts that occurs, but that's as far as I'm going to go to describe it.

That's all I needed. I didn't know whether anyone with any insider knowledge had said it or if it was just a rumor. But if its like that then I think they had that in the first Duel as well.

hey so i was watching the trailer and the sneak peak called "get in the game" and i would like to tell you all some stuff i saw. to let you all see wat im talking about i will tell you the time at which it is shown in the video. this is all from the get in the game video by the way.
00:54- mj and an unknown person in a duel involving them both trying to push eachother off a platform
00:54-00:55- kimberly and ruthie in their duel. i cant tell what they are doing but it looks like kimberly is trying to reach for something hanging down while ruthie tried to grab her but kim pushed her away
00:55- 2 girls in a duel. one of them i presume to be jenn based on spoilers of when she goes home. the other idk but its a girl with dark hair so it might be tori
00:56- landon and brad in a duel. this duel looks like a game in gym i used to play called wolfgang. that game players would run around with flags hanging out of their pants like a tail and other players would try to grab your flags, in this case it looks like a hook or a caribeater (thing from push me) that they must unhook from their opponent
00:57- brittini throwing down rachel in the football-like challenge
1:27-1:28- derek in the mission where they are upside down on the rope trying to grab something on the sides
1:33-brittini or aneesa doing the upside down rope challenge

2:08-2:14- the football mission. if there are nine mission then this is the 2nd one since their are 12 girls left when you see all the girls running for the ball. in the clips u see issac tacklong someone, the girls all fighting over the ball with one girl who i think is jenn attacks brittini
2:16-2:30- landon and mark in the rope fighting challenge with landon beating mark
the rest is nothing important
so from all the stuff i noticed that theirs less than 10 people when you see the duel with landon and brad. their are actually only 6 people watching the duel with landon and brad so only 8 people are left at that point. the people watching that duel are brittini, aneesa, diem, rachel, evan, and another guy. i dont see mark or tori present. does this mean there isnt a final 10? does that mean mark and tori get eliminated? also how many kind of duels are there?
anyone have any input? hope i helped with some information =]

From what I saw, the Landon/Brad duel is probably for 1 of the last 3 spots before the final challenge. They're 4 girls on one side watching and 2 guys on the other side watching the Brad/Landon duel. It's the one with the caribiners or hooks on thier back. The same duel with Aneesa/Paula; definitely Brittani/Brooke (in slo mo, you can see Brittani's name on her shirt when she is in there w/Brooke), and Kim/Ruthie. I was thinking that the object was to get the hook off your opponents back and suspend it to something. Kim look like she had a hook in her hand while she was fending off Ruthie.
I think the clip with Evan yelling and Mark looking dejected is the final mission, but I could be wrong.
I also think when Nick is shown tugging on the chains, that it is a duel because it looks like they are in the stoned arena looking thing, what is probably the duel arena. I think Evan is also shown in a clip pulling chains, so we may see Evan vs Nick in a duel.
Also, there was a clip with 5 people watching 2 girls trying to push each other off the platform. It looked like that could be the last female duel. I could not make out everyone watchin, but it was definitely 3guys and 2 girls, and the 2 girls looked like either Rachel/Aneesa watching or it was Brittani/aneesa watching.
From what I saw, I think there was variations of 5 different duels.
1 with the hooks on each players back, 1 with the platform and the people trying to knock each other off, 1 with the chains (unsure of the object - maybe first one to fail to hold him/herself up) 1 with the guy reaching for circular puzzle pieces or something, and 1 where they show 2 guys either scaling up or coming down from this huge *** spiked column looking thing - that could be part of the puzzle duel, but it looked different.
Cant wait for this challenge!

I wonder how MTV will cram 20 eliminations into 8 1 hr episodes, if they follow the same format as they did for G3. Unless they're more episodes than 8, some episodes with have to consist of 4 eliminations, esp if the last episode is mostly about the final challenge ..... which in itself could have the last male/female eliminations.
Yet like you stated, we'll have to wait to see how it plays out.

I saw that clip too. It kinda looks like 4 girls and Evan, but I could be wrong. In that Duel, one of the girls looked like Jenn and the other one was taller with dark hair, maybe Tori.
for the duel where they must knock eachother off the platform, i wonder if they have to push them all the way to the other side. they should have made it like "cornerball" from inferno 3. have them both stand on the platform from opposite side and have to run at eachother and push them to their side. to make it so the players dont fall off the sides, put plexy glass (pardon my spelling if its wrong lol) on the sides of the platform so they cant fall off it. the hook one looks intense and they showed it alot in the videos so its definetly gonna be played a lot in the duel. oh do we know an order of elimination still? cause i think i know it but someone refresh my memory

I was really hoping it was Rachel vs Tori, but I cannot exactly tell which females are off to the side, and I couldn't get a good look who those females were, although they both may have had dark hair or a helmet on.
so im trying to figure out the order of some of the missions but its very difficult.
now who goes home first? its either nehemiah or nick but i cant tell. in the bobble head mission and the rope mission where two people try to knock eachother off, nehemiah is present. nick is also there for the football challenge. hes being tackled by issac. so idk which is first. also im still confused on how this is gonna work with 9 challenges when there are def more eliminations then that.

Also, do two people go home an episode? So after ONE mission, two people go home? Maybe there are 9 episodes, but 17 missions. Like the first 8 episodes are basically two half hour episodes each with a mission, and the last one is an hour long finale?

Based on what TJ said in the trailer and if there are a final 6. We should have 10 missions, a final, and a reunion. The first episode we also may not see a mission and just see the Adam/CT fight and the explination of the rules etc. Which would bring us to 13 episodes. The same amount as a Real world season (excluding the reuninon) I may be wrong, but thats my take on it!!

There will most likely be a mission the first episode. Why would there be no mission in a hour long episode?

Its a simple guess. There seems to be a lot of drama the 1st night thats all I a saying. There were challenges prior to this 1 when there was not a mission. I think Gauntlet 2 was like that but not positive.

Yes but Gauntlet 2 did not have hour long episodes. I'm betting there will be a mission the first episode. The Adam/ CT fight will most likely be the first night and then what? No mission the 45 minutes left of the episode. That doesn't make sense at all.
