Wait I thought Penny was on the mound? Did they switch up the order? Either way I am trying to get tickets to the game today right now since this will probably be the only game I can see the Sox in this year!
Ahh, yes it is Penny because the rain delayed game pushed the rotation and required a 5th starter.
Aw is that Nick's number on the mound @ the Sox/Angels game? Very nice...
Yeah, they had it last night too. I think it is the perfect spot, not only b/c it's on the pitchers mound he once stood on but it probably gets the most camera time too!
2 HR from Napoli! He's having a great day!
Ugh, I don't want to talk about it. Penny looks a little tired, but I am too afraid to bring in what I thought was our strong bullpen in after Mastersons bad outing yesterday. End this inning NOW Penny. No more runs/hits on 2 outs!
Actually, I think Penny is holding his own out there. Not looking that bad for a 5th starter coming off an arm injury.
I do think he is holding his own too. He's only walked 2 people and it is only 3 runs. I think it just feels a lot worse since our offense was pretty non-existent until that Bay homer. Lowrie's .059 BA! Shudder.
Have you seen this yet? Thought it was funny.
Geez, I go for a run and now it's 5-3? Blown save?
Saunders gave up a 2 run hr to Bay in the 7th before leaving the game making it 4-3, and Bay just got his second hr in top 9th to make it 5-3. It's multiple hr day in Angels stadium!
Torii Hunter just got a hr too as I type! 5-4 game now.
Ah, I was wondering why they were talking about Bay so much. Perhaps I spoke too soon...
UPDATE: Oh boy. 37 pitches in one inning? That doesn't look good.
YES!
I think I am going to have to purchase that stuff you put on your finger nails to stop from biting them if I am going to keep watching the Red Sox this year, lol. That 9th inning was traumatic.

Oh my gosh. With every freakin foul I was getting more and more nervous. I forgot about baseball stress induced stomach aches over the off season, but they are back in full swing. Let's not pull that again Papelbon, ok? Thanks goodness we finally broken the Angels win streak during the regular season. We may have their number in October, but we need wins like this against them April-Sept!

You mean nail polish? :)

OO I haven't tried that yet! I have a horrible habit of biting my nails, nothing has ever worked for me. I like spicy food so the Tobasco trick doesn't work. I can just scratch nail polish off. All the bad tasting polish type products just wear off...but I think those flowers are pretty so maybe this one will finally be the one to work!
The Marlins are undefeated. I'm very happy about that.
Yes, and the Indians are very, very defeated. I'm happy about that.
My bf's fave team is the Tribe molds, lol.
Well that is just too bad...ask him how that's working out so far and if he considers a trade to the better team in the Midwest.
Aw, you let him know I liked Kirby Puckett.
On another note, is anyone watching the NCAA Championship hockey game? It's CRAZY. Miami of Ohio was up 3-1 and Boston scored 2 goals in the last minute to tie it up...
At least you Mass...holes have something to cheer about! BU just won in OT.
Back on topic...7 RBI for Pujols? He is ridiculous.
Aww I totally forgot about the game and got sucked in to the Deadliest Catch marathon! Glad they one. I had some friends at that game and a high school classmate who played on the team.
Pujols is a monster! 7 of the 11 RBI's were by him, that is crazy!
