I understand that completely, yet restricting internet access makes no sense, because when they finally come back, it is much more obvious who has returned. Unless they have people signing on for them.
The purpose is not to restrict you finding out that they either departed or returned to the US, it is to reduce/eliminate the early leaking of results to close friends and family, many of whom simply can't resist the need to gossip about what they have learned. It is how we sometimes obtain or multiple source our results info. There are other tactics being used this season that I can't talk about for the same reason that I could not reveal my knowledge of cast members before they were publicly seen at departure.

Ahh I could understand that then, since the cast for The Island had no internet access, Bacchus did not reveal any people who had left till much later.

No idea being they literally walk down the embarkation ladder from the plane and The Pit is at the bottom of it! The host says GO and the game begins! BMP was considering moving the start up to as soon as the plane left the runway from the US, but the FAA nixed the idea.
Ok, so maybe they don't start the challenge until everyone actually arrives and they take care of the million things they need to do before the challenge kicks off.

They cast was told that they would have no internet. That doesn't mean they might not have limited usage once things get started. Nick actually directed people to email him if something important came up. That leads me to believe that they may be able to check their email on occasion, although things like facebook and myspace could be off limits.
Time will tell.

Great! so The Pit is the battle arena? I can't wait for to see this season.
I doubt they took phones, cameras, laptops... ect

As past experience have shown us, the cast often use friends and family to maintain their My Space and Facebook pages.

Oh, there is no way that Colie would let you maintain her myspace and facebook pages, lol. I know you too well!
You'd have some embarrassing tween taking a bath picture as her profile image. It would be rough! :D
I know they aren't allowed to bring camera's, but I'm almost positive most of the cast will sneak them in, until they get confiscated by the crew. They weren't allowed to bring camera's on the Duel II but that didn't stop most people.
They will also have limited internet access, just no social sites, like facebook or myspace, until they are eliminated from the game.

Agreed, that goes for almost anyone i think..I know that if my friend, sibling, neighbor etc were going on a reality show and asked me to maintain there page i'd have their page full of unicorns and my little pony pictures! im just as ***..LOL
 :sarcastic_hand: :sarcastic_hand:

So based on what some are saying, i have a question:
So when filming The Real World or RW/RR Challenge, are you saying that when filming they are still in the process of the show??
You know how many other reality shows run trailers and show snippets of the end? Is it nothing like that?

That needs a touch of rewording, she would never "again" let me maintain her myspace or pages.
Nick Brown has forgiven me!
