Thoughts on this episode... Paula really annoyed me. I thought the mission was really cool. Landon and Britt are an awesome team. Diem is extremely annoying, has she always been that afraid of heights? I really thought Kim and Dunbar were cute and this episode made me see him in a different light, as well as the after show. Oh, and I love Evan. That is all. :)
TJ, I agree with exactly everything you just stated. Evan's comments made me laugh and was comic relief for the episode (along with MJ's clever comments on Jenn, haha) Landon and Britt kicked butt, I love my Landon. And I really saw Dunbar in a new light, and he got major brownie points in the likability department.
I don't like Evan point blank, Howeve Paula really needs to watch the show one day and see how she looks, Paula can be so annoying at times and I do believe she is jealous of Dunbar and Kim' friendship. The challenge was cool, Diem turned into Casey lol, I don't know why most of the competitors be scared? They are hornaced! I love Kim and I can't believe she's gone :(, Dunbar should have picked her over Paula Question is who's next?

Oh, and then there is lovely Paula talking shit on Dunbar on the Duel Dish. Can it, Paula! How about we air all of your dirty laundry?
Lol TJ, Paula is so phonie! Her performance wasn't that good in last nights episode. Paula is so full of herself.
Wait, so Dunbar "hooked up" with KellyAnne and Parisa????
Wait, so Dunbar "hooked up" with KellyAnne and Parisa????
!! So he did hookup with Parisa afterall...oh my.... I guess Trisha was right in the finale then...I always thought something was going on between them. Thats why they argued so much and I remember both of them looking shady when the topic came up in the finale... interesting....
How exciting of a season is this when the show revoloves around Dunbar. I'm looking for the Pit to blow this season out of the water. This season is really dissapointing. Almost as bad as The Island
I liked this episode a lot, but I'll admit it was way too much Paula for me in one sitting. Bleh. The aftershow was entertaining. I hope Eric DOES come back all buff with abs next time!
Paula is pathetic. And I'm so sick of all of this Rookie have to pay their dues ****. They NEVER did this garbage on the earlier challenges. That is all.
First I wanna point out some bad editing. When Dunbar was about to pick and said "Here comes the hard part.."....Paula was right beside him. Then they cut to her still waiting to be picked. LOL Overall I hated to see Kim go but she gave it a **** of a run and took out some big names. Eric...needs to get in better shape and find his inner abs there haha. Also just to say and not to be mean...Paula was kind of hypocritical during this episode lol

I just rewatched the episode and noticed the editing. I've heard of predictable but my god.

Almost as bad as The Island
What I heard from BMP is that the had to use Dunbar so they could focus as much as possible on Kim. Just as many of use have come to appreciate her, production loved her in New Zealand. She is someone for who they don't have to create a character and story line. She is completely original and fresh. One person who worked on the Hollywood season and on The Duel II said, "There is no reinvention of her on The Duel. What you see now is exactly who she was during Hollywood (where we) just exploited the 5% of her personality that made her look like Sarah's sidekick."
Please tell me I was dreaming. I did fall asleep during the show. I was awoken by what sounded like my daughters voice.......Impossible????
I actually got a kick out of Dunbar on the Aftershow. I know I have not been his biggest fan, but he did provide for a few laughs. BTW: Mark rocks as the aftershow host. It can't be said enough. He makes a big difference in the appeal of that format.
Please tell me I was dreaming. I did fall asleep during the show. I was awoken by what sounded like my daughters voice.......Impossible????
It looked like she was cozied up next to Dunbar on The Island...um, but I wasn't going to mention it. :D

I am very sad to see Kimmie go...I am going to miss her on the show. On a side note I saw her wear at least 2 really cute tube dresses...the Blue and Pink one during the show and the Pink one during the aftershow. Evan had me cracking up with one of his quotes I just can't remember it now...I just remember being surprised because I was actually laughing much harder than I do at most of his attempts at one liners. I am going to have to re-watch to be sure. Paula saying she wasn't jealous is such BS, she thought of the whole not wanting her partner to betray her after the fact and ran with it. I feel like Jenn is only with Rachel to attach herself to the strongman alliance. I don't know what it is about her but I have never really liked her. I don'thate her or anything there is just something that has always seemed shady about her imo.
I guess thats better than Bananas. Was she speaking?
I guess thats better then Bananas. Was she speaking?
Yes, but I can't remember what she said. I just deleted the recording but I'll grab it again at 3:30 ET and get to the bottom of this. :wink2:
Paula has had a long term boyfriend, too, but Mark won't be asking about him. Most of what Paula does is simply for camera time.
I think, romantic interest aside, Paula saw Dunbar as "hers"--her friend, her partner, her confidant--and vice versa. His attraction to Kim totally undermined her own opinion of how important she (Paula) was to Dunbar, and clearly that hurt. Paula has been pretty notorious for basing her own self esteem in how others view her.
Yes, but I can't remember what she said. I just deleted the recording but I'll grab it again at 3:30 ET and get to the bottom of this. :wink2:
Maybe I shouldnt watch....You can break it to me gently.

Good eye. Everyone was talking about the "partners" thing earlier in the thread.... Is there supposed to be some big back story to how the partners came about? I always figured that pairing up for the first time set forth the current elimination order and everyone just adopted their "partner" permanently because they figured they would always be at the top. I can be pretty simple minded though.
Yes, but I can't remember what she said. I just deleted the recording but I'll grab it again at 3:30 ET and get to the bottom of this. :wink2:
Colie said "I have a boyfriend"
Colie said "I have a boyfriend"
Positively not watching!
Positively not watching!
I promise it was not bad Mom, it is the same thing they showed on the Island.
Once again the foreshadowing on this show sucks, you pretty much knew it was going to be either Derek or Easy going home in the first 5 minutes. I hope to see more of Derek though, I know absolutely nothing about him at this point. Aww sad to see Kim get sent home by Zena warrior princess, but she had a good run of it can't wait to see her again on the next challenge. I think she definitely would've had a better shot if she had called Paula into the duel vs. Jenn. The talk about Dunbar and certain *** acts on the after show had me cringing though, TMI girl, TMI! What do these (beautiful, seemingly intelligent) women see in Dunbar I will never know or care to know. He did seem to at least be a little more "normal" and laid back on the after show though. I'm really liking Mark as the host, at first I thought that having someone who was on the Duel hosting would make it weird, but it's actually really good to have someone that's like "come on, I was there don't even try to lie!" I'm not a huge fan of Paula but I actually thought she looked really pretty on the aftershow, but I thought her denial of being jealous of Kim was total bs (though I understand the instinct to preserve some small amount of dignity). Anyone who thinks Brittini isn't a strong competitor I would have to respectfully disagree. While she's definitely had the luck of the draw having a such a strong partner and by default ending up on the fringes of the power alliance, she also has more than proven herself to be one of the strongest females there. I like seeing her and Landon win. Diem, please stop squealing, your annoying and obnoxious habit is forcing me to laugh at Evan's responses and I REALLY don't want to start to liking Evan, so stop it. I'm tired of MJ even though he's rarely on, he's just flat out not funny to me and he reeks of trying to hard, the whole hillbilly schtick only works the first 100 times you do it. Complete random sidenote- the Duel commercials that breakout into a Star Trek advertisment are terrible and pointless. Also, I feel a bit skeezy watching the flash dance pig white castle commercials, something about it is just sick and wrong.
She was joking. They showed a montage of every girl Dunbar has touched even people like Anessa and Colie who he did NOT hook up with. Your daughter is in the clear..
Thank god, w don't have white castle's down here.
Yeah the commercial is weird. I used to be a vegetarian so the idea of a pig doing an "erotic" strip tease and pouring barbeque sauce all over herself so she can be eaten is just, it's just not right hahaha. Sorry I know that was completely not on topic. I'm done now.
