season 6 is casting now for those interested.

BLARGH! I am so far unhappy with their cuts this episode. :( Vegas week is intense man...

I can't believe they cut Natalee!!!

I think they unfairly held her to a much higher standard than other dancers and when they were disappointed that she didn't meat their too high expectations they acted and cut her. Boo Mia Michaels, I am going to blame it on her and her love to cut people fast :(

I'm still surprised they cut Natalee...I haven't seen the episode, so I can't comment on it exactly, but considering she was one of the tops last week and one of the tops last season, she must have had a bad outing in Vegas. I'll have a better comment once I watch it myself though :) All I want to know is if Brandon made it?

Yes Brandon made it! The judges argued about it though...

I loved him last season and would have preferred him to Gev (prior to seeing Gev perform) and was definitely hoping he would come back. Good for him making top 20!!

Mia wasn't feeling it and even though I usually like her, she was being rude about it. Something's not right about her attitide towards him...

Yeah it was Mia and Lil' C who didn't like Brandon. C said he hadn't at all been impressed and Mia found what he brought to the stage really "annoying". Like OPD said, she was being quite rude about it. The other judges loved him though so it was 4-2 and he got through. I also think it was Mia who pulled the strings on Natalee because when they cut her from Vegas I really didn't think she did that badly. She had a great rehearsal and her performance may not have been as good, I think they said she was a bit off rhythm. But I remember Mia saying things like you weren't impressive when they cut her and made it seem like she didn't live up to these HIGH expectations they had for her, not that she performed worse than the others. The Top 20 is okay for me right now. I will have to wait and see how I like more than half of the dancers once I see them next week because they really haven't featured most of them at all yet.

Since they use a full hour, i wish they would show highlights from every dancer. I think it gives the spotlighted dancers (Brandon, Asuka, Phillip) an advantage. And even if it doesnt, it would be nice to know something about all of them. I dont understand Mia. Brandon seemed very humble, even when auditioning, he said that last year he was not chosen because "Gev was the better guy," or something like that. Also, good to see Phillip in the top 20, he has come a long way.

I also think they should highlight each dancer. It definitely gives them an advantage going into the show. The little montage showing like 5 of the dancers just with their reaction was not enough. Especially since it was the first we had seen of them! I don't get Mia's annoyance with Brandon either, I think she just doesn't like that he is smiling all the time. He can't help it if his default face is to smile and not scowl.

I am excited to see the couples. I like seeing two opposites be paired up, so i hope Asuka is with either Phillip or Tony. I thought the features they had on Tony were kinda funny. The first one right before he did Mia's routine made it seem like he did really well in all of the dances leading up to that, but when we went to find if he was in the top 20, they made it seem like he was really struggling. He seems like he will be this years Ivan (IMO). I am a little sad to not see any breakers because they are usually my favorite. Seems like every year the dancers in the top 20 are better, so i am excited to see this season.

There is always a unique dynamic when they pair up in couples. And I like Asuka as well. Is it just me or does Nigel say it like "Oscar"? Maybe it's just the accent. Phillip and Tony are the only hip hop dancers. But i my favorites have always been the breakers like Hok, Dominic, and Gev. Philips solos are really awesome though and i am glad he is there. The only solo we saw of Tony was a personality solo more than a dancing solo (which was really a good idea seeing as it made him stand out). From what i saw, Tony reminds me of Ivan. I hope those 2 both do well. I have no idea who is going to do well(besides Brandon being automatically in the top ten because Mary and Nigel wont allow him to get cut. Having that said i think he is good). Even the featured dancers we really do not know all that much about. Asuka really wasnt featured in Vegas at all. We saw a tiny bit of Brandon in Jazz and Philip in ballroom. It would not hurt to show 20 seconds of each top 20 dancer. All i saw of Ade and Jonathon were second long twirls or something. I would have thought Jon was a contemp. dancer, i never would have thought he did Salsa.

I still don't really know who most of the dancers are or their genres. They focused on Tony a lot, but what's his actual style? All I got was that Phillip is a hip-hop dancer (which I knew from last season), Asuka does ballroom, Brandon does contemp (which I knew from last season), and Evan does Broadway. All of the girls they focused on got cut. I think Asuka is actually pronounced "As-kah".

For example, a boy called Asuka would pronounce it "As-kah". However a girl's pronounciation is known as "As-u-kah". Same with "Akira" to "Ack-e-ra".

For the girls so far I really like Janette. I remember her very first audition was great and every one since that has been awesome. She's just so cute and spicy! I hope she does well. I also like Vitolio (the guy from Haiti), Brandon, Philip, and Evan. I really think that this will be a guys' season.
