Okay so I just watched the Finale and I am sitting here wonder WHY didn't Brittni throw it? I mean Evan called the girl all kind of names when she was walking with the bike. If I was her I would've flat out screwed him over just for that.
Brad was SO **** CLOSE SO FREAKING CLOSE And I was rooting for him.
I really hate that Evan won.
**** @ Aneesa getting washed up at the River.
Oh and YAY For Rachel she won her second challenge (she won the Gauntlet 1 right?)
[strike]That is all....for now.[/strike]

Because as much as she'd like to screw him over, she's also trying to win money.
And please, please, PLEASE stop with the "that is all...for now" bit. We know that's not all. We know that's not all for now. We know you're going to keep posting. Just stop it already.
Everyone? Has Evelyn been heard from?
I guess we'll just have to wait for that matchup.
Has Kelly Anne been heard from?
Perhaps there will be a rematch.
I miss Evelyn :(.
Anyway, with the Brittini throwing the mission thing, that'd be dumb. She's trying to win money too.
Of the 10 people in this episode, the two I least wanted to win won but what can you do. I tried liking Rachel this challenge, I really did, but... nothing. I just think she seems like a rude, smug ********. I'll hand it to her though, she's a **** good competitor so I can't fault her for that.
Was really pulling for Brad, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. :(
And I wish Diem beat Brittini. Diem has been pretty meh to be for most of her challenges, but I really started to enjoy her this time around. I hate that she had to lose the way she did.
I was also pulling for Tori but Brad took home some money so at least there's that.

But she was going to win money regardless so what did it really matter?
And I only did the that is all...for now thing a couple of times your acting like I did it a thousand times already. But whatever I'll stop.

The difference in the prize money levels probably mattered to her. Also, perhaps she wanted to do as well as she could, as a pride thing.
I do think it would have been interesting to see her not try so much after Evan rudely berated her, but it would probably not have been in her best interest.

Well yeah I can understand that.
But still if I were her I would've screwed him over so bad.
Anybody else see any parallels between Brad's duel with CT on the first Duel and his Duel last night with Landon? In both cases, he was up against essentially the strongest guy on the show. In both duels, CT & Landon appeared to be more focused on the "machismo" aspect (CT pushing like a maniac and Landon trying to throw Brad around like it was a wrestling match) but ultimately, Brad used the little things in the game to his advantage and outsmarted both guys. With CT, he shook the pole and caused him to tear the flag and with Landon, he smacked his hook thing so that it took him longer to get his hook on. Most people never would've thought of doing something like that, it was very intelligent.
But still if I were her I would've screwed him over so bad.
As fun as I'm sure it would have been to make Evan pay for being a jerk, it's probably not worth twenty thousand dollars to Brittini. Also, if she ever plans on doing one of these again, Evan might not be someone she wants to alienate.
Landon seemed really surprised that they weren't voting based on performance, which makes me think he is either quite naive or that we missed part of what was going on. I would think it would be fairly simple logic that the person perceived most likely to win would have been voted in.
This might have just been the edit, but it seemed like Rachel might have pulled a bit of a Jodi-surfboard thing by letting Brad dump the dirt out of the sled while she took a bit of a breather, which in turn helped her gather the energy to make that final sprint to the end.

Since the stakes were even higher, he thought that the guys would've voted for the easier win. But this is where the alliance between Brad, Evan, and Mark comes into play. I'm not saying this is what Landon thought, I'm saying what I think went down.

[*]This finale challenge was pretty good overall. I think Landon got screwed over in a way, they should have voted performance based, but then i'm thinking if they did who would it have been?

[*]I really wanted Brad to win over Evan. Brad has done what six of thesn he deserved it, he has always came so close to winning.
[*]
[*]As much as I dont care for Evan, kind of glad he won as well. (The reason why is after watching **** they shoulda shown special he seems kind of cool :-/)
[*]
[*]Mark is a really nice person with sticking with Aneesa the whole way through, he has heart, something you barely find in a nasty game and enviorment these cast members are put in.
[*]
[*]Rachel's win was long overdue. She hasn't won a challenges since Gauntlet 1 no doudt she was the strongest female competitor there.
[*]
[*]Brittini! I'm very proud of her. She beat the odds and got rid of that stereotype that rookies cant win their first challenge (or even make it far esp rookie woman.) Maybe future rookie cast members can see that if you align yourself with the right people and play the game right, you will make it far.
[*]
[*]Like Brad, Aneesa has done a lot of these as well, I'm glad she won.
[*]
[*]This is the first challenge I can say everyone on this finale DESERVED it, everyone on this list worked there butt off for that finale spot :-)

I'm confused...are you talking about an earlier post that you wrote? If so, that's not what I was responding to. My point was just that on a show of this type, it was naive of Landon to think that being the best didn't make him vulnerable, and if he really didn't consider that the other three might use the opportunity to try to rid themselves of the strongest competitor before the final, then he wasn't thinking about the situation very clearly. My comment was unrelated to the alliance between the other three, because it wasn't about what actually happened and why, it was about Landon's surprise at what happened.

But since Brad, Mark, and Evan had the secret alliance, they voted in Landon instead. Thats what I meant. Are you still confused? lol.

Got it. Yes, he might have been thinking that. I still think it's an oversight on his part not to assume that everyone left would be very happy if he were eliminated, though.

MPB, thank you for confirming that there is still hope in this world.
I am REALLY disappointed with the outcome - this is starting to be a trend for me with these Challenges. Brad should NOT have won that duel against Landon. It may have not have been against the rules, but pushing that chain away was just SHADY - Landon should have kicked his butt for that. I have lost all respect for Brad.
After that I had preferred Mark to win because he showed what a great guy he is for being patient with Aneesa. However, he gets points taken away for aligning himself with Evan - whatever happened to the whole Battle of the Sexes strategy of voting based on performance???
It also irks me that the "big alliance" in the game won the challenge, just like in the Island, and probably the same way with the next challenge just going by the names not listed on the spoiler thread...yeah I will most likely be skipping it.
That said, this final mission was one of the better ones in the whole series - man that seemed brutal! However I did LOL at Aneesa floating downstream - too funny!
Although this Challenge had some good drama, it was nowhere near as good as The Duel 1 IMO. Something special (ie Beth, an impromptu Duel selection, etc) was missing. However I got to see more of Dunbar and Landon so I'm happy!!

Evan's comeback victory over Brad was improbable, and I have to give him credit for not giving up. He was clearly the best of the 3 males left.
Rachel also did an amazing job and she smoked Brad in the Elevator. It seemes like when her and Brad were partners, she was doing most of the waiting.
Overall, the Final Challenge was OK, but it wasn't the climatic scenario as it was suggested to be. Perhaps horrible editing, idk.
The duels - Aneesa's victory over Tori just proves that she is a better 1 on 1 competitor in elimination rounds than most give her credit for. I think she could be just as much as a threat to Evelyn as Tori or Jodi, depending on the game. Tori's mental state had nothing to do with her losing that duel. Aneesa was just better that day!
Brad/MJ - Brad got a quick start and never looked back. Good victory
Now
Brad vs Landon. I simply call bullspit, uso on that duel. I have not seen a worse fix since the 1965 Ali/Liston rematch where Ali threw the "phantom" punch that floored Liston in the 1st round. I was even born then, but that was a fixed fight, and I am convinced that this duel was staged for Brad to win and Landon took a dive.
For Landon to struggle with hooking that enormous hook onto that ring while Brad was amazingly willing to cover 60 plus feet. Gimme a break! Sorry to all of those who think I am batspit crazy. Years from now, my mind will be unchanged. In addition, there was no mention of Landon's injury.
Hypothetically, if it wasn't a fix, there should have been an automatic disqualification of the point in the same manor Landon was disqualified a point for containing Brad and trying to get his hook during the 1st point.
We have been given input in regards to Game Show Acts, laws, and other legal matters concerning these challenges, but I truly believe that BMP can tip the scales into the favor of someone they would prefer to win.
I have seen it too many times
Beth vs Svetlana - Push Me
CT vs Brad - Push Me
Evan vs Nehemiah - The Elevator
and now
Landon vs Brad - Back Off
there are more cases, I just need to research it.
If Landon didn't DQ he probably was going to win that duel.
I think Duel 1 was a better challenge than Duel 2 overall, because the competition was more intense. But the final of Duel 2 is epic! It was even better then Duel 1's final mission. This has been the best final episode of the challenge I've seen in long time.

IMO, the competition was better on this challenge but the first Duel was just a better challenge. The finale was the best finale I have seen in a long time.

We'll never know... I'm sure many would disagree. It's over. Probably time to put opinions on hold until the reunion show airs.
OMG, no Evan did not yell at Brittini like that. What a jerkish move! UGH!
I think in the heat of the moment, he was just trying to push her. I don't think his intent was to be mean. Wow, I just defended Evan ..... what the **** is going on?
These challenge outcomes are making me lose it
Great finale, probably one of the best I have seen on these RW/RR challenges. The final 8 competitors did a great job of getting to that point and it was sad to see Tori and MJ go home.
Got to give props to Aneesa and Brad for winning those duels. Aneesa is a ****** in the elimination challenges and Brad did a great job on the pole climbing duel.
I don't like that they voted in Landon and Diem for the final duel but it was clear they were going to be called in because they were not part of the alliances in the house. I don't know at what point Landon hurt his shoulder but I have to give him mad respect for being a great competitor and bringing it. I thought it was a great duel and was sad to see Landon lose while being happy to see Brad make it to the final. I have gained a lot of respect for Diem for stepping up against Brittini and I think that were it not for the rain she would have had a good chance of beating her in the Duel. I think it would have been very interesting to see how the finals would have turned out if Landon and Diem had won their duels. We all know that Landon would have excelled with the bike riding and Diem would have done a good job with the uphill climb.
I liked the twist in the final where they had to use a partner to compete with on some of the stops. I thought that Evan was mean to Brittani and Rachel was a bad teammate by not helping Brad to scoop out some of the sand from the box. I gained a lot of respect for Mark with the way he treated Aneesa.
I'm happy that Brad and Aneesa won some money and I have to give Evan his props. He did a great job throughout the whole show and I hope that he spends the money he won wisely.
Can't wait to see the reunion show!
I don't understand where people are coming from claiming the Brad and Landon Duel was "fixed." Landon broke the rules. I don't really know what rule Brad broke by messing with the ring. I found it to be great strategy since the rules state he couldn't tackle Landon now that he had his hook (the rule Landon clearly broke in Round 1).
I think part of it was that Evan was sour about not getting to be partnered with Rachel. And I still really don't like when people act so nasty to their teammates when they are competing. He could have yelled, "Come on Brittini, Brad and Rachel have already left and we want to catch them" or something like that. Instead, he called her stupid and there were some bleeps invovled. Just really bothers me, no matter who does it. Some people are not motivated by people being mean to them.
I am still wondering if Landon actually thought he was a part of the big alliance the whole show (or until the last duel). Even if he did, he knew Evan, Mark, and Brad were alliance members as well, and they would have had to turn on each other at some point. I hope the reunion addresses this well.
