America’s Best Dance Crew Top 10 Performances of All Time
MTV’s scheduled a clip special, Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew Top 10 Performances of All Time, to air the week prior (Aug. 2 at 9pm). What does everyone think of this? I have a feeling it's going to be all about Quest crew. Which sucks in my mind. I hope it's judged by the judges because the fans will vote even the bad performances by quest just because the unnecessary worship. Anyways, I don't know if they're going to include the group performances but what would your guys' list be like? I wish there were more spots to fill because I have a long list of favorites but this is my list: 1. Jabbawockeez- evolution of hip hop 2. Beat Freaks- Illusion challenge 3. Kaba Modern- Thriller perfomance 4. Jabbawockeez- The Red Pill 5. Quest- Hip hop decathlon 6. Supreme Soul- Audition performance 7. Super Crew- Ninja performance 8. Fanny Pak- Missy Elliot 9. Jabbawockeez- Defy Gravity 10. Kaba Modern- Sensual Seduction

Kaba Modern- Sensual Seduction
That's a pretty accurate list, if I must say so myself. Supreme Soul turned into a huge let down after their audition performance though.
I would put Beat Freaks Boys vs Girls performance up there instead of Supreme Soul...I don't know why, but I just never really liked them.
The Beat Freaks Illusion performance....will always be number 1 in my book!!! I can watch it over and over, and still say Wow every time I watch it :) I am ready for a new season of ABDC!!!!!
Speaking of which does anyone have any Info on it?
They moved it to Sunday nights at 9pm. It is set to debut August 9.
I don't know what I'm looking for in a new crew. As much as I like breaking and stuff, I'm ready for another crew like Kaba Modern but as good as Kaba Modern... not like Team Millenia or So Real Cru. And I don't want a crew that spells it Cru or Cr3w or something weird like that. What kind of crews is everyone looking for?

To be honest, I'm going to find it very hard for any group to top off these previous seasons. But I'll keep an open mind about it though.

I'm not saying that breakdancing isn't fun to watch but that it seems like the fans are going "Yeah, this crew is amazing because this one guy can do air tracks." Or as Shane Sparks calls them, air flares, which is totally wrong. Out of the 3 winners, Jabbawockeez is the one that has the most regular dance. Their performances now actually have almost no breakdancing. People are more captivated by athletic moves, but after learning how to dance, the small detailed stuff is actually really hard to do and get on point, but I learned how to do a windmill in like 3 months. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I know there is a lot more out there then breakdancing. I still like it though. Lol
So maybe I have been living under a rock, but I was wondering what this ABDC was so I worked some google magic and I am shocked. Rand Jackson has another gig other than American Idol? For how long has this travesty being going for? I feel like Paula Abdul on a bad day right about now. First Big Brother and now this show. Help me see the light please ;)
It's been around for 2 years now and it's pretty awesome ;).
Great Oden's raven! I am embaressed. I am going to try to tackle my Big Brother virginity this week and then I guess this can be the next. Is he like a judge or something of dance?
I think Randy is the creator/producer of the show. The host is Mario Lopez. The judges are Lil' Mama, Shane Sparks and J.C. Chasez. I think you should lose your Big Brother virginity first ;).

True, lately the Jabbas havent been doing much breaking besides here and there. They have the best dance routines I've ever seen. The thing is, that a lot of groups don't have that kind of skill or creativity especially when they have to do it week after week. However, have you ever heard of that asian group call U-Min? They're something special. YouTube - U-Min (Japanese poppers)
I am new at Vevmo, and this is my first post!!!!!!!!! But I do agree with you faceless. I wanna see a crew with a different style win this season. I think breaking is awesome and all, but I wanna see something different, like Jabba (w/o the mask of course) or maybe Kaba with great choreo. I wanna see a lot more tutting, waving, popping and locking. Heck, I'd take clogging lol jk. But I am getting a little tired of seeing flipping, coin drops, headspins, halos and windmills. I can take two seasons with Supercrew and Quest Crew, but not three. and I hope they make an ABDC all stars or something so i can see Jabba spank Quest and Super. Jabbawockeez own ABDC imo.
I also want to see a Crew with a Diffrent style win this time. It Kinda Feels like the same crew won all 3 seasons. Oh and Fanny Pak was robbed
I also want to see a Crew with a Diffrent style win this time. It Kinda Feels like the same crew won all 3 seasons. Oh and Fanny Pak was robbed
I agree, Fanny Pak was robbed. I think its just bboying wows everybody and sways their votes. Check out YouTube if you wanna see some crews that auditioned. There will be another all girl crew called Syrenz, I almost guarentee it bc they are really good. And D-Trix's original bboy crew Flexible Flav auditioned, and Knuckle Head Zoo, an all bboy crew auditioned. I have a bad feeling that another bboy crew will win, because those two bboy crews look even better at what they do than Quest and Super which sucks. There are a lot more crews on there too, I just can't remember them all. I think I just typed in ABDC season 4 auditions.

I am going to check them out now. It sucks for all girl crews because it's harder for them to compete. This is why I think Beat Freaks shouldve won, because you'll rarely ever see an all girl group as good as they are. :weep:

I am a dude, and I was rooting for Beat Freaks the whole time especially Maryss from Paris, bc she is so sexy and I love her accent. But Beat Freaks deserved to win imo.

She def was eye candy for me!
Does anyone here do this kind of dancing besides me? I'm just wondering. And I don't think Fanny Pak was robbed, because had Fanny Pak been up against Super Crew in the finals rather then SoReal Cru, they still would have lost, because at that time, it was the time for an all breaking crew to be put in the spotlight. Just like season 3 it should have been Beat Freaks' win, since it was a good time for the girls to be on the show. BF was robbed, just as much as Kaba Modern was. At least SoReal Cru was decent, Status Quo was just plain boring. And LC, give ABDC a chance, the show is awesome and it's better then the So You Think You Can Dance/Dancing With the Stars craze. For me...please? Lol. Anyways, I realized that when I came into Season 2 and Season 3 I didn't think I'd like any crew as much as Jabbawockeez and Kaba Modern, and I didn't come into the seasons with an open mind, so I'm going into season 4 without thinking of it as a comparison to the first 3 seasons. Though, even after realizing my closed mindedness for Season 2 and 3, Jabbawockeez are still my favorite. ABDC's holy grail and for a good reason. They made ABDC into what it is now.

The only reason Kabba was robbed is because some how Status Quo beat them into the finals which I still think is ridiculous! But like you said, I dont think there's a group that can level up with the Jabbas. As far as this being the best show...that just depends on what you like.

I'm not that great at bboying. Bboying for me= windmills, munch mills, tombstone mills, 3 step, 6 step and a master swipe is the only power type move I can do. But no flares, airtracks aka air flares, head spins, but I can do a basic back flip. But I love to wave (Jabbawockeez inspired), tut, and house. But my main passion is being a beat manipulater, I love it man. I have been doing it since I was about 10. It's so fun and it makes me feel alive. I just flat out love it, dancing and moving your body to ever beat you hear, basically. And p.s. my toprock is the ****, lol yeah I wish.

Really hard. What I want to see crews do more if they do a lot of breaking is actual combos and threading. Ronnie did a couple of threads in their routines but they kept it minimal and Quest only did threading in the decathlon because it was a part of the challenge. I have to say though, Ronnie's and some others like Taisuke, Hong 10, etc. have amazing combos and threads on the Red Bull BC One.

I would love to see D-Trix and Victor from Quest take on Ronnie Boy and Hong 10. Personally I think it would get pretty ugly for D-Trix and his "air flares" and Victor Kim and his hollow backs. Ronnie is one of the best bboys in America, and what I like is that he makes his threading look so easy too, and it isn't. And the combos that Ronnie and Hong 10 do are amazing. I always said that Supercrew was better at strictly breaking than Quest. I just wish Kid Rainen of the Jabbawockeez would learn how to do some more power moves. I mean, I know I can't do em, but I want him to learn so nobody could hold that against Jabba when they compare Jabba and Quest. for all I know he might know how, and just doesn't do them. The only way I could see how Status Quo got to the final 2 is maybe because they were from the East coast. I think they were from Boston and since Jabba and Kaba are from San Diego and Los Angeles Jabba and Kaba probably split the votes from the West coast and everybody on the East coast voted for Status Quo. That's my theory. The same thing could be said in the Soreal Cru and Fanny Pak bad voting since Super Crew and Fanny were from Las Vegas and Los Angeles and Soreal Cru was from Houston, Texas.

The Jabbas are my boys but without the mask and gloves their performance wouldnt have that same egde to it.

I dunno if Jabba would be where they are now w/o the mask and gloves. But the mask is what makes them better imo. and I know that seems unfair to Supercrew and Quest Crew. But there is another crew that wears masks and gloves and that is Expression Crew which are way better than Jabba. I found them on YouTube too. They are really good. and I think they started the whole mask thing before Jabba. But both crews have respect for each other, so it's cool.

What's the name of the other crew who also wears the mask and gloves?
You have a good point. What's the name of the other crew who also wears the mask and gloves?
Expression Crew, but they're masks are a little bit of a diifferent color. More like greyish silver, but basically the same. They can do pretty much anything. They have a great performance on YouTube, but I can't think of the name of the performance. But it blows everything on ABDC away. But you will find something on them if you just type their name in.

I wonder if they will ever try out for the show.
They must be really good then. I wonder if they will ever try out for the show.
No. They're not from America. I think they are from korea. My bad.
