As someone posted before, they should have let him know on the phone he was fired, instead of going to the suite, giving him his plane ticket, and then expecting him to suck up to them. He just got kicked off the show, was he supposed to do tell him how great they were?
TJ, this is how a good company fires someone. They take them to the back office, tell them they are being let go and tell them why they are being let go.
After that, the person being fired has an opportunity to respond and then both parties part ways.
There is nothing about this that is out of the ordinary beyond the childish manner in which Joey responded.
I had no idea who they were, until RW:Cancun, starting getting more coverage. Funny thing is, I just heard their song on the other day. I must be living in a cave.
Then I also am living in a cave because I honestly had no idea who they were either. I don't really keep up without the music playing today though... I enjoy my Goo Goo Dolls.

I actually heard that "I'm in Miami ******!" song on another MTV production. I think it was Making the Band.
Jasmine, you are WAAAAY prettier than Jonna and her ugly wigs. Please don't say that about yourself again. The only pretty thing about Jonna is her eyes - and they look fake anyway (even if they are real) because they don't go with her look.
That's the one thing I hate about these reality shows. It gives the cast members a false sense of entitlement. The fact that he thought he should be forgiven multiple times for the same infraction speaks volumes about his character, and I have no problem with how SC fired him. From what I saw, I actually thought they were too nice about it.
Totally agreed, ElectraWoman. Christina already went out to bat for Joey, and previously gushed glowing recommendations about his character, and he basically spit in her face. I'd imagine the female cast members will share a similar fate -- Ah, wait. They already have.
Ok...yes im very sad that Joey went home and it really hurt that I did not get to say goodbye to him. I understand why he got sent home cause od missing two shifts but i wish they would have came him one more, cause he really did step up and do a good job after the first missed shift!
They PAT turn down....lol... I didnt think people would really take a big deal into it but its cool yall did. Yes it sucked when it happened, and it sucks a little to watch it but that situation only helped me for future relationships that I try and build with guys. He wasnt into me at all and I just couldnt see it that, so i put more blame on myself then I reall do him.
Jonna...hmmm....at the time i was not happy about the flirting thing, but at then end of the day its Cancun, she a pretty girl and there is really not much that I can do to stop it. I can voice my opinion but trust me that doesnt do much good!!!(cause i did) Jonna and i were not close at the time, do I think thats an excuse for how things are going to go down...no. But its watever.!! But like I said on the epsiode, its sucks when a prettier girl comes in but hey **** happens!! OH well!!
I have a much more important question: What is the full name of the girl that Bronne hooked up with so I can, um...find her bio?
I would like to know as well. :jerk:
But like I said on the epsiode, its sucks when a prettier girl comes in but hey **** happens!! OH well!!
For the record Jasmine...IMHO......she is NOT prettier than you. :)
Hmm, I'm curious as to why there wasn't a replacement cast member this time. Joey and He Who Must Not Be Named left pretty close to the end of Hollywood and they were replaced.

I'm glad there isn't. IMO, Nick and Brittini were very forgettable people on Hollywood. I like them, but they added nothing to show, except for the roommates seemed to get along better when they came.
I think it had a lot to do with the fact that they came around the end of the season. I think Sydney was different (with Ashli coming in as a replacement) because that was when RW still had the half hour format.
I do like Nick's personality and I loved Brittini on the Duel 2.
Oh, and if anybody cares, he who shall not be named, just did an interview for the radio station that usually has the Cancun cast members call in after their show, he actually sounds more mature and a lot less *******. They were trying to talk him into doing a challenge.
I'm glad that Nick came in though because otherwise we would have never gotten Nick Brown: It's a Movement! (a little off topic--my favorite tagline that came out of that was Mark Long: I'm lactose intolerant!)
I agree, though--I think that if the show was still a half hour, a replacement cast member would have held up better. The only thing I really remember about Brittini during Hollywood was the fact that Will had a crush on her like he had on pretty much every girl he ever met during the course of the show, besides Kim. I think the dynamic in Cancun is really interesting between even the remaining cast members, and it'll be more interesting to see how they interact without Joey around as opposed to having to get to know a new person.
One of the lessons in Joey being sent home is this: sure, he may have been a better worker when he worked... but 99.9% businesses in the REAL WORLD would rather have an employee that is dependable and average vs. someone that is sometimes great, but not dependable.
The average worker you can plan a business around... the one that sometimes is great, sometimes doesn't show up... that person can wreck a business.
If you have a job in real life and don't show up, you are extremely lucky to not get fired. If you do it again and still don't get fired, your boss probibaly should.
Anyone know why episodes 4,5, and 6 aren't available to watch online? Someone brought this to my attention and I thought they just couldn't find them. They all say they will return at a later date.

You can watch them on Comcast ON Demand. I hope that helps.

I don't want to watch them ..somebody else does. Hah. But thanks..:).
1. Her name is Ayiiia
2. She's just misunderstood and bluntly honest which seems to get her in trouble
3. You're going to have to deal with her in the house because I doubt she's going anywhere..and I'm glad for that because I actually like her
heck to add on to salt&vinegar's list of people that don't hate Ayiiia, i don't even think Jonna hates Ayiiia, if anything they probably became closer.
my bad, was just quickly typing ignoring the name spelling
but back to the point, shes just so irratable and i can honestly say she is the most hated in my book. as a viewer watching the show it just portrays her as the evil person, the villain especially in this last episode
haha no editing portrays her as the evil person but she's a real sweetheart outside of the real world. And she's probably one of my favs out of all of the real world seasons I've watched.

Yeah it's definitely editing that makes her look like a *****. Out of all the Cancun people that post here, Ayiiia is the nicest by far.
I think that the experience meant the most to Ayiiia. She seems like she really thankful for the oppurtunity.
Yeah I agree. Like i don't even think she's a bad person on the show now even though people seem to hate her. But if i don't think she's bad now i can't imagine how much growth she's had as a person after being on the show...and i kinda feel like that's what the show is about in some way.
