I remember there was the girl who was a contestant on Double Shot at Love who died in a car crash. MTV edited the episodes she was in again to remove some of the more crazy stuff out of respect for the family. I think it makes sense and is good that they don't air it now. Imagine if you are this girls family and you see this guy competing for "love" while he is on the run/suspected for killing your daughter! How horrible would that feel? Yeah he is not convicted yet, but I think it is a nice gesture by VH1 to hold off on airings out of respect, even if ratings or other things also played into the decision.

That was completely different!!!! That girl was killed innocently; in this case the person accused is on the show!

Well, I am not sure (personal opinion) VH1 is that caring...They just simply need to stay away from all of this...This case gets creepier by the minute...And if you compare the concepts of MWAM and ILM3, it's really bad with what's happening right now...And yes, it seems proper background checks were not in place considering this guy had an assault charge against a gf back in 2005. I don't watch any of these shows but since it is in the news today, it obviously got my attention...Not trying to hate or putting anyone down, but this tragedy is not that surprising, just look at the types of people they recruit for these reality shows these days...Not your everyday role models, although I must say I don't expect murderers either...It's just way too disfunctional out there...

So do you think they should air all the shows then? I'm confused. Also, if I remember correctly, but I may be mistaken, the girl from Double Shot was killed in the crash because they were street racing. Not completely innocent, but still horrible.

Agreed. I meant to get across that for whatever reasons they are suspending airings, whether it is to avoid scandal or out of sympathy or because of bad ratings, I think it is a good idea.

That is what makes me wonder if they intend to ever air the rest of the show. They went through the trouble to take down almost everything about MWAM from the VH1 site, when they just as easily could have removed all the episodes and clips that Ryan was in. I also do not think they would delete just about any trace of the show if it were simply postponed.

Well, if he is among the final contestants as it was reported he was, it'd be a little difficult to remove all of the clips he's been in.
I think as of right now they're handling it in the right way.

That is true, but I just meant the episodes that have aired thus far and all the extras that were on the VH1 site. I think they're handling it more or less appropriately, but I just think it is strange that they purged their website of most MWAM stuff.

No I do not think they should air all the shows!! I think it is different in the fact that Ryan took someone elses life and in a tragic way. If he killed someone in an accidental car crash it is one thing but doing so in a malicious manner takes it to an all new way.
Also I think it was easier to cut the DSL girl out of shots bc she was eliminated in the first couple of episodes and obviously Ryan makes it far in the competition.
As for ILM 3 or 4, whichever one, he is on will have to be scrapped!!! I would not want to be 51 Minds right about now cause they are going to lose out big time!!

It is hard to say, but I have a feeling 51 Minds will not be footing the bill if VH1 decides to eat the show...

Would he still get the money, since numerous reports are saying that he opened his big mouth and bragged about winning? I'm sure there's a NDA or some clause that VH1/51 Minds could use to yank the check away from him now that he may have killed someone..

This is pretty crazy..waited years for a Megan show and this happens. I don't think we'll see it unless it leaks, because it seems like VH1 has pulled the show off it's website completely...forums, episodes, etc.
Whoever is guilty of this is a complete sicko. God bless the victims family.
