Despite the fact that I don't like Wes because I think he is too cocky, I have to recognize that he is one of the strongest competitors I have ever since in the challenges. I think he is right because he doesn't have other options, if he plays nice and like a team player, the champions are going to send him in every time because they are scared to go home.
I think he's acting immature in many ways but I don't blame him for throwing missions because really, those guys were going to put him in anyway ,regardless, even if he had been nice. They are all friends and Wes came in the house with them not liking him because of all the stuff that's been going on with him threatening to beat up Kenny after the Island. So if he helps the team lose, then the other team can pick one of the other guys to go in.

Escríbalo, Por Favor...your real problem, that is...exactly why would I be frustrated? You seem frustrated much. Calm down, it's really not that serious! You said something about insulting you...on a computer? You have your opinion, and I am entitled to mine. Leave it be. For the record, my "stans" comment was merely a joke. In addition, I can assure you that I just enjoy analyzing these shows and its nothing more. I respect your opinion. But...while we are discussing reality shows, the reality is that I don't know you and you don't know me, therefore you wouldn't even know what an insult felt like coming from me.
As far as you being in that situation, I can tell. It's blatantly obvious in your passion. But as I stated, being civil doesn't exactly coincide with the events that took place. And no disrespect, if you suppose being civil means that you have to work things out, this is where our opinions differ and where I simply won't agree. Enough said.
You stated you were not one sided. That's great. But darling I am. I don't believe in snake in the grass people. I enjoy and respect an honest person more. So, you can say Team Wes all the way.
I don't get why everybody feels sorry for Wes. He's always been an arrogant goon and has admitted before that he's cocky; even his own girlfriend on the show said so. If NOBODY likes you, that should tell you something; it's not them, it's you. And boo hoo for his little trailer trash sweetie getting called a *****, a little karma for Wes after the verbal abuse he gave Casey over and over on Fresh Meat. She wasn't a stellar competitor but she tried her hardest and he'd call her worthless and every other name in the book anyway. That is why I've never considered Wes to be an elite person on these challenges. He does average in the missions and his attitude just doesn't permit him to get along with anybody because he's way too full of himself.
I dont feel sorry for him.. I just dont get why people think its so absurd or wrong for him to throw challenges..
He knows hes going in everytime for the ruins as long as his team wins... What did his stupid team expect him to do? Help them all win money on team challenges and just accept the fact he's going into the ruins everytime? Dont think so.. He's playing the game by throwing challenges to stay out of the ruins just like all the other idiots on his team are playing the game by trying to send him into the ruins..

I am with you on this matter of fact. They are going to try to get rid of him and put him in every time no matter what. Why not make a game of it and strike back against the evil challenge empire? ;)

1.699 million viewers for Episode 1.

You are right, I dont see why everyone is making a big deal out of Wes throwing challenges. These are the same people who threw challenges on G3 to get rid of all the women. At least Wes has the balls to say it to the team's face. I respect Wes for that. He is more of a man than Horseface, Kenny and Johnny. I think I am going to enjoy Wes f'n with these losers. Might as well enjoy that because from the premiere it seems like Veronica hardly gets any camera time.

See, this is the only way I can understand him throwing challenges. It makes sense that if they are going to do him that way, he should not feel obligated to help them.
But I don't think Wes really gave the others much of an opportunity to see if they were going to throw him in continuously, though. He just had a "my way or the highway" mentality. He said he wanted the power over the team. It was by his rules, and no other options. So I can understand that not flying well with people. He was super obnoxious in dealing with the team. I also think it's possible that Wes could have maybe gotten some of the other people on the Champions team on his side had he approached things differently and not have issued an ultimatum demanded his voting method or else he'll throw missions. Katie, for instance, complained to Wes about not wanting JEK to run things on this challenge. Maybe they could have gotten other people to work with them.
I can't know for sure if it was the exact plan of JEK and the others who like them to throw Wes in every time, or if it was a reaction to Wes acting like he was owed something. I think he was right to be suspicious of them, though. And as I've said before, I do like seeing him make them squirm and giving them a taste of their own medicine . Those guys have been ridiculously jerky for several challenges now. I think Wes is right up there with them, and he is dealing with them in the same nasty way they've dealt with other people. But I can still think he is ridiculous and overly cocky and someone who overestimates their value, just like I think about the other guys. He has a similar attitude and personality that I really don't like in those guys.
So basically, a mixed bag for me overall on the situation. I have individual people this challenge I am rooting for more than teams this time.
Looking at the cast, this looks almost like Gauntlet 3, when you talk about how stacked the Champions are.
Just from the first episode, The Ruins = The Inferno + Inferno 2 + Gauntlet 3. With a sprinkling of Duel 2's first episode for the almost brawls.
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. Wes is being a big baby, but the fact that his actions are making JEK squirm makes me smile inside. I also think it's funny how anyone on that team thinks they can preach about team unity when a huge majority of them plotted against their own teammates in past challenges. Like someone said; the shoes on the other foot.
So basically, a mixed bag for me overall on the situation. I have individual people this challenge I am rooting for more than teams this time.
I am with you on this as it is true that Wes created the situation which precipitated him having to consider throwing every challenge.
I'm only pulling for and defending his actions because I really dislike JEK. I'm sure under normal circumstances I'd find the way Wes is going about this challenge as infantile and harmful to his chances of winning.
That being said, I loved the opening episode because of the Wes factor and even though he is not masterminding (i.e. consciously being cool to me) - he is being cool as he's striking at the heart of what I love to hate (in what is sure to be a losing battle against the powers that be.)
Thus, I must give credit and kudos where due for the duration...

Yes, I'll give him a little due for his work as well. Maybe I'll be OK with him being able breaking up that alliance and getting some of those guys sent home, then someone eliminating Wes. Takes care of everyone. :D

Yeah, I also threw Veronica in for one of my earlier posts when I thought about people on that team having thrown missions in the past. And I must remember Darrell was a part of it as well. Even Syrus (though I still love him on challenges) threw one to get rid of Leah on The Inferno. And Susie sure plotted so much for her team to throw missions so she'd get the lifeshields. Ev was gung ho for the guys on G3 to throw the missions to toss people out as well.

Oh believe me, I am calm. I also just enjoy analyzing these shows. Just from the tone of your posts, you made it seem like YOU were the one being too serious, needing to be calmed down, and getting personal with condescending remarks and insults. It's just the way parts of your posts came off. Maybe you are just a passionate poster and that comes out. All I did was disagree with you without going there because I love to give my opinions and I enjoy hearing different opinions. I actually loved your first post.
For the last time on the other point. When I said civil, I meant in terms of the comment about her "working through things", you took that as her dying to get back with him and be serious boyfriend/girlfriend again and live happily every after. I took that as something different. As simply acknowledging the weird cirumstances of the challenge, and being able to get over the past issues and come to a good place.
I can't be one-sided because there are pros and cons to all these people. But I like Wes too and love him being on this challenge to make it entertaining. But I think he's acted very immature in many ways. It makes for an amazing challenge tv-wise though. Anyway that is all. I'm bored with this. I'm glad you respect my opinion, I respect yours too as long as you're not rude about it. So we'll just agree to disagree and move on and be cordial, k?
Moving on...
Anyone think it's hilarious they didn't even air Nick fighting Kenny during the Wes/Darrell blow up? I bet the Movement was really disappointed that didn't even make the episode!

I agree with you. The only reason the team wants to throw him in is because he has ruffled feathers with his entire team. He has gotten himself on all of their bad sides. They are only reacting to him threatening to throw missions.

Thats what the peeps are missing. Yeah kenny had problems with Wes but Derrick, Syrus and Darell never had problems with Wes before he went all loco.
A little late commenting on this but this episode was on of the better premieres for a challenge in a while. Now it might not have gotten the best ratings but I think they will grow if the show can stay at this level or even get better. There is still plenty of drama left and I think this challenge will be a good one.
As for Wes. Yeah his ego is massive. He is childish. And is going about things the wrong way. BUT he is against the Legion of Doom(JEK) and he hasn't bent over backwards for them. That is what I like and for that reason I hope Wes stays as long as he can to give them as much grief as possible lol
Okay a few things.
I don't see how some of the people on the champions team can get mad at Wes for Trying to throw a challenge to save himself when just a few challenges ago they they were throwing challenges to get rid of the girls on the Gauntlet 3.
And They are saying that wes has a big ego but yet alot of them have some of the biggest egos around.
Darell is a coward. How is he gonna attack KellyAnne because he's mad at Wes? If he has a problem with Wes take it up with Wes and He had the chance to do it but he pussed out Coward period. And add on to the fact that he's sucking up to Evan/John/Kenny just makes me lost alot of respect for him.
I'm not Dissapointed about Chet and Diem Going home Wes and Tonya Pulling out a Win <33333333 Danny was right Wes and Tonya Winning is gonna benefit The Challengers more because Wes and Tonya are a detriment to their team.
And someone tell Johanna it's not about her.
Wes<333333333 It's good to know that there's someone there that's not afraid to stand up to them J/K/E Know that they can't compete with him one on one and they're scared of him. That's probably why Evan was mad at Wes for not calling him and telling him he was going to be on this challenge.
I agree with every single word you said... all last challenge all we were asking for is for osmeone to stand up to JEK, and now that we have one people are complaining? If Wes lets them do whatever they want ,they would throw him every time...
Darell talking about Kellyanne, was the most disgusting, vile thing I have evr seen, he wants Wes to hit him so that he goes home, so he disses a woman.. really weak.
Darrell lost all my respect when he started attacking KellyAnne for no reason. He is going to go around calling her names when over half the girls there are just as bad if not worse. he is slowly but surely turning into Kenny and Johnny. Then he says he is going to fight Wes and gets him upset then pulls out? if you can talk the talk be sure you can back it up.
I'm tired of a lot of people on these shows saying that they'll beat anyone's *****. Just ******* do it already. Wes, Darrell, Kenny, quit talking about how you'll beat someone up, unless you're really gonna do it. Kenny, you aren't gonna kick any freckles off of anyone, because I actually think you're afraid too. Darrell, you might actually fight Wes, or someone else, but just do it. Wes, you aren't gonna beat the **** outta Johnny, Kenny, or Darrell (or like how he said he'd throw CT around on the Duel) because frankly, I don't think you're as tough as you say you are and you're an idiot.
I think this has the potential to be one of the best challenges ever. I like the new rules, such as if you beat someone in the Ruins their money goes into your bank account. Im so happy that the actually Ruins will be diffrent each time and not just picked from like 5 choices.
Im glad Wes is on the challenge and isnt afraid of going after JEK. I cant stand Johnny or Evan, I like Kenny but not as much when he is with the other 2. Wes, Darrel and Derrick should have formed an alliance and gotten rid of JEK because those 3 are better. But it looks like Darrel and Derrick are trying to be cool with JEK.

But the way Wes acted made Derrick and Darrell ( we didnt hear anything from Syrus so who knows) made that not possible.
Plus Derrick knew Kenny and Johnny from the Island so he probably would have sided with them anyway
Poor Chet. He really is a nice guy giving Tonya that pep talk. I hope he never changes. Tonya.... girl.... really? REHAB!!! It's not even funny anymore. Just because she can pull it together for an hour doesn't mean she isn't a danger to herself. Yikes. I loved the opening - didn't it feel more "authentic" to anyone? Like: "It's ON!" Pretty excited.
Should be interesting to see Wes make a fool of himself next week. At least he appears to do that. But I guess its no worse than people knowing you took riods.
