Yes it's true, there's only so many ways you can go in this genre so there are bound to be similarities. I just am not that impressed with the Twilight writer but then again they (like the VD books) are teen novels so I guess they're not going to be Poe or something. I think you can see alot more differences between the VD show and Twilight movies than you can betweeen the books, imo. And I'm very glad for that because I would hate for the show to be anything like the Twilight franchise beyond the typical similarities.
Anyways that last scene was so freaky, I guess it's Damon? mr.unamazing after what you brought up the first thing that popped into my head was that the guy on the road was going to be Klaus - it could be the case that he's who Logan was talking about when he said someone else wanted to open the tomb. But yeah it makes more sense that the guy on the road is Damon - but is Damon that short? For some reason I thought IS was taller and the guy on the road seemed really small. I wish Elena would've talked to Stefan instead of just running away when she saw Katherine's pic but I guess that would've made for a less interesting storyline.
Logan dying was anticlimatic, it was just like "okay what?" but he just came back. But I guess they needed to show that Alaric is a hunter not a vampire. I wonder if he already knows about the Salvatore brothers.
I was glad to see more Tyler action in this episode I like him (even though he's an a**), I like the fact that they are showing him having a friendship with Matt instead just being the two dimensional hs bully. Yeah I think you're right tj, they had all sorts of werewolf foreshadowing going on with him. Does he know he's a werewolf though?
Apparently Gina Torres is going to be gueststarring on the show, I absolutely love her going back to Xena and Firefly so I hope she gets a good role. Supposedly she is tied to Damon somehow. Sucks that there are no more new epis until January.

That would be a really cool twist for the show. I wonder how they would explain how she got out of the tomb?
Doesn't Elena get kidnapped in the books by Damon?
My theory is Damon thinks Stefan killed Logan (maybe he heard about his plan with Damon) and Damon might get revenge and kidnap her, because she doesn't have her necklace on, he compell's here or whatever.
That can't be Katherine, thats figure was a dude, unless is Katherine dressed in male's clothes.

Thanks for that link tj! So it seems its Damon after all, unless he swoops in and saves her or something, but it's probably Damon. I was wondering when they were going to start building those two's relationship. I love hearing that Bonnie's going to get powerful, I want her to be as strong as Emily. I can only imagine what Stefan's reaction is going to be when he finds out about Damon and Elena's "little adventure".
Hey mr.unamazing, in the books isn't it Damon who starts trading blood with Elena first? I can't remember.

It sucks, I hate it! They do the same thing with Supernatural too. I would rather they do two on, one off or switch it up like that rather than go that long without new episodes. They're pretty much the only shows I watch every week, I might start tweaking or something.
I think they both blooded Elena but Damon blooded her more. This makes Damon somewhat her master I think in the realms of the vampire world. I also think that he blooded her as well as did Stefan in order to keep her alive after the massive car crash in which she almost dies.

Stefan was first, then Damon but Damon kinda blackmailed her into it. Damon nor Stefan gave her blood after the crash, it was Matt that willingly gave her some of his.

Are you crazy? This is the higest rated show on Thursday nights doesn't get lower than 3 million viewers and it usually gets over 4. Its the highest rated show on the CW. Why do you think they are doing the Marathon in Dec. ?

Oh I feel your pain, Veronica Mars is towards the top of my list for all time favorite TV series. Have you heard about the possible movie?
I don't think there is anyway they won't pick up season 2 but I think they might be waiting to see how it does after the holiday hiatus.
Yes, i heard about the movie. But i dont think theyre going to do anything with it. Veronica Mars is on my list as well, i watch the Episodes OnDemand all the time lol.

TJ, I miss Damon too! Though I saw the Lost Girls episode last night for the first time and the bootleg Jim Morrison dancing was kind of buzz kill, still love him though. Marathon all next week though.
I never saw the Veronica Mars show, didn't it get kind of lost in the shuffle when they did the WB/CW merge? I heard it was good. But I think VD is one of their highest rated shows so its not in danger of getting cancelled, they always seem to wait til the last minute to renew all the shows though.

I know, I know, haha, everyone loves the dancing! But to me it was just. . .I don't know I wasn't feeling it, I don't know why, cheesy I guess (that probably was the point though). I liked that his shirt was open though. . .
That and History Repeating are my two favorite episodes. He and Vikki actually had some good chemistry going on, I wouldn't have minded seeing them do something with that before they killed her off. And I liked evil Katherine, if/when she gets out of the basement I think she's going to be pretty bad***. I hope we get to see more flashbacks and scenes of the Damon/Katherine relationship especially since he claims that she didn't mind manipulate him. Oh and it would be cool to see Emily and Katherine interacting so they can fill in the blanks regarding the history of the necklace.
