i LOVED the finale. the ending to the MaryAnne story was awesome!
Can't wait for season 3 and I'm going to start Book 3 this week!
I was a bit disappointed with the Finale, it was great TV and everything but I expected so much more than what we got. I just felt like it was too rushed.
Some thoughts:
I think it was Eric that took Bill, or someone that works for him.
For some reason I think Hoyt is going to end up being a werewolf or something like that...I really like him and Jessica together so I hope they fix that relationship as well.
I wonder if this is going to finally be the time for Tara and Jason since she is going to be grieving Eggs and he is going to be feeling incredibly guilty for killing him. The big question is will it ever be revealed.
Layfayette is my favorite character on TV right now...I freaking love him, LOL.

Yea I agree, it was a good finale but I thought it would be better. I like season one's finale more because it left me super anxious to see what was to come next.
I feel really sad for Tara and Hoyt. Eggs was a naive but cool guy; sad he had to die. Jessica has finally began to unleash her wrath. Whatever happens to Bill I have a feeling he make it out a live.
;-)

I don't really know where they are going to go with it, but I just don't see why he had to die...it was almost like it was just thrown in to add to the suspense but it failed imo. I just kinda feel like it was pointless to kill him off...I don't think it was for a Tara/Jason hook up becuse that would just be weird after all the town has been through imo, they do have great writers though, so hopefully they will work it out.
I hated the season finale, in fact, I thought it was the worst season finale in all of existence. It could be for the fact that Eric was only in there for two minutes, of which that ****** Queen was all over him (her fangs are grosser than Bills and Erics for some reason). Anyway, I was so disappointed. They are really stunting Eric's charcacter in the show from the book series.
Speaking of the book series, I just re-read book three and four (Club Dead and Dead to the World). Next pretty tall man that reminds me of Eric or just says "Yield to me" ... I just might.
The only episode of this I had seen of this was the finale of season 2. HBO ran the first four episodes of the first season last night. Wow! This is a great show.
The *** scenes with Jason are pretty intense, and so was Sookie getting the **** beat out of her by that couple.
HBO is running another four episodes tonight, and another four tomorrow. For anyone who is interested to catch up on the whole first season. They start at 10pm, and i already have my DVR set.
Can anyone tell me what "glamoring" means please?
Glamoring pretty much means that the Vamps use their "powers" to influence people. They usually do it to let them bite people, convince them to let them into their house or even try and rework their memory. So if a human finds out someone is a vampire or sees something that could hurt the vamp race they can "glamor" them into remembering things differently, kind of erase that memory.
I just got hooked on True Blood and watched both seasons. It's a lot better than I expected plus I LOVE Alexander Skarsgard :D

That was the season 1 finale.
I love this show LM, you really should watch the whole series, I highly recommend it. :D

The *** scenes will get A LOT more intense the further you get along. Hehe. :lol2:

The one with the crazy lady who took over the town, and then Sam turned into a bull and stabbed her with his horn? That is season 1 finale?
I had the worst headache of my life yesterday, so I laid on the couch and watched all of season 1. This show is amazing.
Anna Paquin is such a great actress, she is so believable as Sookie. I was so surprised that the killer was Rene, poor Arlene. Man and poor Jason thinking he killed all those women.
So far 2 of my favorites are Sam and Tara, the actress who plays Tara is so pretty. Her one liners are freaking hilarious!
How does Sam already know Maryann?

Sookie is so fiesty...i love it...lol. But I was really sad when Jason's girlfriend, the hippi girl, got killed.
In season two you'll find out all you need to know about Sam and crazy *** Maryanne.

Okay I was wrong then. I thought you meant the crazy Vampire blood stealers when you mentioned Sookie getting the **** beat out of her.
Layfayette is my Favorite character by far...I freaking love him, he cracks me up...but so does Tara. And Eric is HOT HOT HOT, LOL.
I can't wait for the third season...I read that this season is going to focus on homosexuality a lot more than the others and that there is a possibility of getting an Eric/Bill in bed scene. I am all for more naked Alexander Skarsgard, LOL.
Lots of updates. They are bringing in lots of new people for season 3:
-Kristin Bauer, who plays Pam, will be updated to a series regular for season 3
-Grant Fowler (Wilhemina's lover Connor from Ugly Betty)
-Theo Alexander will be playing Talbot, Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare) significant other
-Prison Break alums Marshall Allman and Shannon Lucio were cast as Sam's little brother Tommy and Bill's wife Caroline, respectively
Interesting stuff molds! Has anyone read the books? I haven't so I'm not really sure who the characters they're adding are but I really like Pam so it will be nice to see her more. I'm also excited to learn more about Sam's past, which I am assuming we'll get to know with the introduction of his little bro.
I own all the books but I'm only through 3 of them. Book 1 was EXTREMELY similar to Season 1. Book 2 was very similar, but had significant differences from Season 2. And what I'm reading about Season 3....it sounds VASTLY different from Book 3, adding characters that didn't even exist in the novels.
I like the books, but I like True Blood better. It's more gruesome and edgy.

Interesting. I think that if you are going to deviate from the original text/version you should deviate a lot. Little changes can make a big difference so why not almost make it your own. I think it helps people who have read the books enjoy it a little more too or at least be just as surprised in the plot twists as others. I'm excited for S3! I'm late to the party since I don't have HBO so I watch them when they are released on line and just watched both seasons back to back this fall so I'm a little impatient to see what happens next! True Blood is much more my style of vampire stories than other well known fads out there right now ;)
I just finished watching season 2 last night and it was freaking amazing! I liked it alot better than season 1, especially for the fact that they expanded storyline and some characters got more screen time. That Maryann is one crazy chick, I didn't expect her to die. My favorite characters are Sam, Sookie and Jason, Andy and LaFayette are starting to grow on me too.
