Due to the military way of life, she moved every three to four years of her childhood, spending a total of 12 years on various Army bases in Germany. Graduating from high school in 1988 in Neu Ulm, she then attended the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany. Manthey describes herself as adventurous, fun loving, spontaneous, honest, and kind. Her favorite hobbies include photography, cooking, painting, writing, reading, and her all-time favorite, camping. She enjoys hiking and/or backpacking to very remote, unknown places in order to escape the craziness of Los Angeles. Her favorite event is Burning Man, a festival that takes place every year in the vast, barren Black Rock desert of Nevada A perfect day for Manthey always begins with a cup of coffee! Then, a hike in one of the various canyons of Los Angeles, playing with her dog Gidget and her cat Kiya, writing in her journal, surfing the net, e-mailing, watching a good movie, spending time with a close friend over dinner, and curling up with a good book. Her favorite movies are The Big Lebowski and Search for the Holy Grail. Her favorite TV shows are The Sopranos and Sex and the City. She enjoys all types of music-depending on her mood- ranging from Al Green and Barry White to Creed and Tonic. When she's ready to dance, she enjoys funky, soulful, house music. Jerri was a castmember of Survivor: The Australian Outback, and recieved 8th place, becoming the 2nd member of the Jury. She then returned for Survivor All-Stars, but didn't make the Jury. She ended up getting 10th place. Will the third time be a charm for Jerri? Or will she get booted even earlier on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains?
So excited for Jerri. Truly one of the best characters ever to grace our television screens.
I wish they would have brought Kel back just for the confrontation between them and to deal with jerky issue.
I can't believe that Jerri is almost 40...
I'm pretty sure they'd be over that, and not still fighting about it almost ten years later lol.
Hahah I like this chick! She looks good for 40! I still remember her and Amber talking about how much they miss food, especially chocolate and Colby snapped! She is an excellent choice to bring back!
Maybe she'll be booed again at the finale??
Maybe she'll be booed again at the finale??
I never understood that... She wasn't even that bad on All-Stars. I actually liked her, and felt sorry for her when she got booed.
I find that on that season she seemed more misunderstood than anything and editing didn't help. I hope she is taken more for the great survivor she is and is not booed because she is entertaining.

I love Jerri but it's kind of embarassing that 9 years later, her Yahoo blurb still lists her as an aspiring actress :-/
Can someone re-cap the booing off the stage thing?? I don't remember it! But I ran into it twice on the net in the past few days.. what happened?
Jeff would ask her a question and everytime she would talk they booed her. After a couple times of this happening she walked/ran off and looked as if she was crying.

I still fondly remember her Playboy pictorial
Best Jerri moment was when Colby and her were partners during a reward challenge, and he threw her over the wall.
