I got a question does the tape exactly at 5 minutes meaing the tape got to end at 5:00? what about if your tape end at 5:02 or at 5:14?
If they are like other shows that require a tape, they will not even look at anything over the 5 minute mark. They set the limit for a reason. Best not to go over it.

whats if its less thin 5 min? say like 4 or 3 mins
Do they even cast people that have watched a lot of the seasons? In Mikes interview he said he was so uncaring and only went to support his friend. He didn't really know what the show was about and thought it was stupid. I remember reading other interviews of people who's friends just randomly tell them to go to the interview with them and they end up getting on the show. I think Colie was another of them that it happened to.
Colie was definitely a fan of the show. She talks at the reunion special about how she was a big Montana fan from RW Boston. Mel from Philly also said she was a big Montana fan. Colie also made a reference to Amaya and Colin from Hawaii during an aftershow, so she was def a big fan.
It really anoys me when people say they've "never" seen this show. Come on. 23 seasons in and you've NEVER seen one episode of the Real World? Maybe I'm just not used to that since I've been religiously watching since New Orleans...and tuned in and out of Boston, Seattle, and Hawaii.
whats if its less thin 5 min? say like 4 or 3 mins
I don't think they care if it's too short. They just care if it's too long.
That's the easiest way to weed people out...don't pick the ones that don't follow simple directions.
How many lines was on your brief description?
Keep it short, a good paragraph... just be yourself and state facts that you think should be highlighted about you and maybe just some random facts about your life. Don't forget to send a few pictures of yourself with the email.
where do they usually announce the open calls?
When BMP announced new locations for season 24, they put it on their Twitter account and on their casting website.
I am guessing they will do something similar for season 25.
Wonder if they read all the emails they get. Also if you send them an email what do u put as the subject?? Real World 25 Audition or what?
This is directly from their website...
If you live within driving distance of one of our recruiting cities, please email casting@bunim-murray.com. The subject heading of your email should contain ONLY the name of your nearest city from the above list. (If you do not live within driving distance of one of the above cities, your subject heading should be OUT OF AREA REQUEST).

Do they put this info on their website when open calls or recruiting starts?
They still have their info up from season 24. I would recommend checking it out for yourself.
If I send a tape in should I email it or snail mail?
Id personally would mail it. Idk if they would look at it if you emailed it.
They changed the Real World "Now Casting for Season 24" Logo to The Real World "Ongoing Casting"
Where? On the BMP site, the Real World section is blank for me... well the whole site as a matter of fact is blank, maybe its something with my computer? hah
what do they mean by ONGOING casting? Can you send in a tape less thin 5 mins? Say like 4:30 or 3:50 mins?
Ongoing=currently taking applications.
I already answered your question about the tape being under 5 minutes. That is fine.
what do they mean by ONGOING casting? Can you send in a tape less thin 5 mins? Say like 4:30 or 3:50 mins?
Ongoing casting means that you can submit your casting tapes and bios until they say stop. There is no deadline as of right now.
And I believe one of the mods answered your other question.
Try and relax. There is no perfect way to get on this show. Luck has a lot to do with it. Just be yourelf and if you are what they want then you will be picked.

You have to click the little button for compatibility view. It's up in your cursor where you type the web address.
thank yall molds13 and RMD1. Another question where do you put your photos at when you send the email? Can you still send them a email when they saying if you in driving distance on a ONGOING casting?

...you send them as an attachment, as you would send anything via e-mail.
I would recommend going on the casting website and reading the directions. They're pretty straight forward.
Has anyone gotten a response from BMP recently after sending an email to them?
If you have, do not respond with details that will "out" you -- or simply just send a private message so your sn isn't posted on this board.
