Since a lot of you don't remember much about her, I'll try and jog your memory a bit.
She was originally on the younger women tribe at the start of the Panama season. She was chosen to be the one to compete in the first challenge for her tribe, and ended up coming in last. Her tribe had to pick one person to go to Exile Island, Danielle offered, but the other girls told her no since she volunteered to compete.
In the second episode, they merged to two tribes and Danielle was apart of the Casaya tribe. Her and Shane got into a lot of fights because Danielle was lazy.
At the merge, Casaya took control but couldn't stand each other. Despite that, they stuck together but Terry kept winning immunity and eventually they had to turn and vote one of their own off. Cirie, Aras, and Danielle voted Courtney out.
At the loved ones challenge, Terry won and got to decide which two castaways got to go out with their loved ones, which castaway got to take their loved one back to the island, and which contestant got to give their loved one a hug. The one leftover didn't get to hug their loved one at all and had to go to Exile... that ended up being Danielle.
She beat Cirie in the fire making tiebreaker to move on to the final three giving her and Terry the advantage.
So...she's an all-star because...apparently no one liked her?
Seriously, I can't wrap my head around this. I think it's ridiculous.
Seriously the fans should have voted if they didn't know to give the last couple of spots to. I'm pretty sure they could have picked better than this and it would have got them invested in the season. I actually have never found why they didn't do that for any all-star season, let the fans decide and show who they feel are all-stars.

Of course they could've gotten better. But it's kind of hard when one half doesn't want to accept.
Danielle still looks unmemorable.

From cbs.com:
Tribe: Villains
Hometown: Boston, Mass.
Current Residence: Los Angeles, Calif.
Personal Claim To Fame: “Being able to adapt to any situation.”
Inspiration in Life: “My grandfather.”
Previous Finishes: Panama: Runner-Up
Favorite Past Moment: “Beating Cirie in the fire building challenges.”
Previous Survivor She Respects Most: Bruce Kanegai (Panama)
Previous Survivor She Respects Least: Terry Deitz (Panama)
Why Did She Come Back? : “Because now I know how to play the game!”
I can't wait to see how she'll do with people like Randy, Russell, Coach, and Tyson. If she could hardly handle Shane then something tells me she's in for a fun time.
I predict she'll be an early boot.
Danielle's bio, like Parvati's, also changed, but not as drastically. Now it says:
Previous Survivor She Respects Most: Parvati Shallow (Cook Islands, Micronesia)
Previous Survivor She Respects Least: Russell Hantz (Samoa)
Why Did She Come Back?: “I had such an amazing experience the first time I played the game and the competitive edge in me also screamed "I have a good chance because I came so close last time."

"Don't judge a book by its cover"
Umm, I didn't. I read the entire fricking book and still find you devoid of All-Star status.
Probst's reasoning for her being a villain was ridiculous.
You know why I love Danielle being on this season because there is one character who a lot of fans are not familiar with which actually ads to the season. It is nice to see someone who is "sorta" new and may or may not bring anything to the table....
Every season has a person who stays in the shadows....Kelly from Samoa prime example..
I would not doubt if Danielle made the merge and if she was put in a situation where she will be the deciding vote. She has no clear alliances so she is potentially a very important player.
This season is cast based on personalities and characteristics and if Danielle wasn't put on there who would play that "quiet" role?

She was RUNNER-UP! ---that is enough to be an All-Star player....the definition of an All-Star in sports is someone who has skills and can play not how loud, evil, nice, or devius they are.
She along with all these people made it far in their seasons and thats why they are All-Stars....
Out of all the cast members Boston Rob was the only one voted out "pre-merge" on his original season but was "runner-up" on the first All-Stars. All of the other players are all post merge characters.
Yeah but wouldn't you say that to be an all star in sports it is all about the stats, while the character and personality play no role. Survivor is not a sport, while lasting a decent amount of time matters, to be an all star it is more about the character; at least in my opinion

That's my point exactly. People SHOULD remember her. She was the runner-up. How can you "stay in the shadows", be runner-up, and have no one remember you? It's not like her season was 8 years ago.
I don't know if it's just because the rest of the cast are huge characters compared to her, or because I just didn't like her the first time around, or because I can rattle off a list of people I think are better than her...I just don't think she's an All-Star.
I remember Rich Hatch not because he caught a lot of fish, or because he was good in challenges. I remember him because he got naked. Because he was hilarious. Because he was a character. On an All-Star season, I want to see big characters. I want to see the Rich Hatch's. I don't want to see the Danielle DiLorenzo's.
Yeah but they cast based for entertainment purposes not based on how far people went. Coach isnt a good survivor player but he is a big personality. I think they cast Danielle and Candice based off looks.

Most of the characters are also good players though. Coach is awful when it comes to physical challenges, but isn't actually that bad when it comes to the social game and mental aspect (even though I think he's mental).
I think they cast Danielle and Candice based off looks.
Which is pointless given that Amanda, Parvati and Stephenie carry that role very well, and Jerri also looks great for 39, and Sugar also could be considered attractive.
Given Danielle and Candice's lack of personalities, they won't even be shown too much on TV, so what good do their looks do there?
Well Candice was a moron on her season, and that was somewhat entertaining. Danielle, I have no idea. I don't think she looks that great. She has horse teeth.
The reason why Probst gave that BS of a reason was because after Panama, he felt like Danielle was a huge disappointment. Apparently the crew thought she was going to be a female version of Boston Rob, but she didn't live up to that at all.
Is the "step on it, step on it!" from the upcoming season? I don't think I remember red being a color on Exile Island, and there's red stuff (I can't think of the word) in the background.
