I have a fealing that Kenny is going to come off as a good on this challenge. Which suprisingly as it may seem I'm looking forward to. I also think this season he will have to ally with people he doesn't necessarliy trust but needs them to get farther like Ryan. A turning of the tables would seem so great and it to an extent I think would humble him.
 No shot.
First off, he finished a DISTANT second on the original FM. Darrell and Aviv completely smoked them in the final. Add the fact that he got an easy matchup for one Exile (Katie/Eric), and the Evan/Coral team (who were absolutely CRUSHING everyone else on that Challenge) getting sent home with injuries, and you'll see that he was incredibly lucky he made it that far. Since then, he lost to Nehemiah on the Duel, hid behind Derrick (and Abram) on I3, Evan on G3, Derrick again (and Johnny as well) on The Island, and Derrick, Evan, AND Johnny on the Ruins. To say that he is closer to the top physical male than the bottom is just absurd. Look at the cast for FM2. Of the non-FM this time around, only Ryan and possibly Danny are weaker physical competitors than he is, which leaves him looking up at Landon, Wes, Darrell, and CJ. He is a middle of the pack physical player AT BEST. He has never given me reason to think otherwise.
We're very obviously watching two different shows. In the challenges Kenny always performs as well as the top physical players. I don't recall him ever dropping the ball. Perhaps I am incorrect. Can you point out a specific situation where he was weak? You can say he hid behind so and so.. but I'd like to know exactly HOW he hides behind them? If you're referring to "alliances" and "plotting".. they all do that. The people he's plotting with are as guilty as he.
You can say what you want about his attitude or general ****** baggery... but to imply that he's not physically apt is ridiculous.
Kenny can pull his own weight in challenges, he kind of reminds me of Brad in that regard. He isn't going to be one of the dominant, elite standouts of the team but he'll peform consistently decent and won't hurt the team in anything. While there's nothing he's really excellent at, there's nothing he's really a liability at and he's decent at everything. You don't have to worry about him falling behind in a final either. Plus, he's one of the smartest schemers and strategists and isn't afraid to do what's necessary for his team to win regardless of whether or not it's going to hurt a few feelings.

If there's ever a drawing contest, he'll tear some people up. lol
Oh here we go with the "Kenny is a poor competitor" junk. There's a reason he's back time after time. He does not hide behind Evan and Derrick. He finished second on the original FM. I suppose you're going to say that it was thanks to Tina and her outstanding athleticism? Kenny plays an excellent social game and while he may not be the top physical male, he's closer to that title than that of the weakest. He adds charisma to these shows. I'm happy to see him on my screen again and again.
TEAM KENNY!! ;)
While Kenny isn't my favorite and I don't think he is the greatest athlete, I think he is good. But when compared next to Wes, I'm team Kenny. Well... I think a better name would be Team Anti-Wes.
Ok lets get some facts straight. physical/athletic competitor wise, Wes destroys Kenny. Scheming wise, I'd say the same. Social wise, Kenny. Wins, Kenny. Wes will dominate Kenny in anything physical. Best person on a challenge though would be Kenny cause of his wins.
I think everyone should stop talking and withhold judgment on who is better until they compete against them themselves and can adequately judge who is better.

Well, I did win the ITG (Internet Tough Guy) Award of 2009 so I'd say I could take them both.... at the same time, LOL.

Haha. Of course you could.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all about having a favorite. But saying that one is better than another when they have never gone one-on-one against each other is like chasing yourself around in a circle. Everyone is going to have their opinions about who is better. Even afterward. You could probably have both of them do a bunch of obstacle-course type things, and the fans of the loser would probably justify it by saying he was hungover or something wack like that.
So until they do that...I'll just (try to) enjoy watching the challenges, and refrain from saying who I think is better...just say that I think each has attributes that have them do well in challenges, and each has their weaknesses.

That's kinda where I was trying to go with my post, but in my attempt, I still had my biased opinion on.
Does anyone know how the teams were selected? I hoped that it was based off of perfomance on the obstacle course like last time.
I have an odd feeling its the same way as the first or by the alumnis previous peformances/challenges. Don't ask me why, though.
I have an odd feeling its the same way as the first or by the alumnis previous peformances/challenges. Don't ask me why, though.
Doing it by previous performance would make things too lopsided. I would guess they're doing it the same way as they did last time.
Thanks, past perfomance would definately suck for allot of the people like CJ so they probably will stick to the same but I was hoping they would make the fresh meat and the vets proform the tests and the worst would be paired with the best to make it as even as possible.

That wouldn't necessarily make it as even as possible.
No not entirely though you would dictate who you are paired with based off of your perfomance which is more than in some cases. This though would spell who was the best individually and let people move forward, to know the truth and then see if that translates to team performance.

I forgot all about CJ. Disregard that.
this isnt a spoiler, and sorry to ask a question haha
but will the real world dc be over by the time this premiers?
Yes.
I would really enjoy seeing the Fresh Meat pick their partners instead of the Challengers picking the Fresh Meat. That would be an interesting wrinkle. And this is how much I can't stand Kenny...he has made me take the side of Wes, who I never liked, not on RW: Austin, FM1, or the first Duel. I think Wes is a cocky jerk, but unlike Kenny, he has shown that he can be one of the better physical players. I'm sorry to keep hammering a point, but Kenny has never given me a reason to think that he's anywhere near as good of a physical player as people like CT, Landon, Alton, Abram, Wes, Derrick, Evan, Darrell, or Brad. I think any of those guys could beat Kenny in a face-off in just about anything. You really think Derrick would have been on the wrong end of that pole wrestle in the Duel if it was Kenny fighting him for it and not Wes? I was sold on Wes as a physical player after that one.

I think the nail is about 5 inches below the surface of the wood.

Hence everyone talking about it, is relatively new to this.. I guess I fall towards the same category.
I like having Wes back on these shows...it shakes things up a little bit and finally gives us someone else who is tired of Kenny trying to run the show. I think Kenny's ego is completely through the roof and has only gotten worse over time. Wes has proven to not only be an elite competitor but also a master strategist (see: The Duel). I can't believe I have to wait a month to see how this ends up playing out! I hate that a lot of this will hinge on the partners and how game they all are, simply because I don't know what any of them are capable of. It makes it very impossible to try and handicap this game...I really have no idea who will end up winning and probably won't have a solid prediction until after the first couple episodes.
Ugh...Evelyn. Now there's another FM I can do without. Whose dumb idea was it to bring her back in the first place? She was so boring on FM1. There's really not a lot of people on this season I'm actually looking forward to. For the guys I'm going to root for Landon, Darrell, and CJ probably the most. Sarah and Jillian on the girls' side. Unless, of course, their partners **** me off.

You can blame that on Jonna.
I personally would prefer Evelyn over Jonna. Jonna strikes me as the person that will suck up to people to make it far. I could be completely wrong, but I prefer the people who just don't give a **** about the social aspect and go for the competition.
