Oh I dont know. I never watched 16 & Pregnant, but just caught the commercial & it does say 10 new girls. So each girl gets an episode? Interesting format.
I would recommend watching it, you can still catch on mtv. Good show.
I would recommend watching it, you can still catch on mtv. Good show.
I probably will, I liked Teen Mom so I will check this show out at the very least.
I am excited for my own viewing pleasure that there is a new season coming- but I honestly worry that teens will find that this makes getting pregnant look like a cool thing. I think MTV does a pretty good job showing the struggle the girls (and guys mostly) go through- which is a plus. I work with adults doing HIV prevention education, and you would not believe how many adult males don't know how to use a condom. I have a wooden model in my office and I show them how to put it on, and so many can't do it! Our schools have horrible *** education programs and the standard is still abstience-only education! Statisically this is HORRIBLE and increases students misbeliefs about contraception. ahem...I will get off my soap box now! :)

The season 2 trailer screams trying to hard.
The season 2 trailer screams trying to hard.
Yea literally its seems more like Super Sweet 16. But hey too early to say that, might be good.

Anyone else watch the new season premier tonight? The girl they featured, Janelle, had an absolutely WRETCHED attitude. I see a Farrah 2.0...as far as still wanting to go out with her friends and "party", relying on her mom for almost everything, all the while treating her like **** and speaking to her in a terrible way. SMH...but dang her baby boy (Jase---really? That's like half a name...but anyway) was absolutely ADORABLE!! Right up there with Bentley as cutest baby on the show yet. I can't quite explain why I'm absolutely fascinated by this show.

I agree, when i was watching Janelle i thought she was a WORSE version of Farrah. It was sickening, plus she annoyed the **** out of me, i couldnt even watch the whole episode because her attitude combined with her annoying voice made me turn the channel.
Why did she change her hair color so often in such a short period of time? She went from full blonde to blonde with a bit of black, blonde with a lot of black, almost all black, and there was a moment of full red in there somewhere before going back to black with blonde.

Then again this is one of the only moms I've EVER seen that couldn't wait to get her kid in daycare...
I just can't believe there are parents out there that allow there kids to speak to them that way... I can't imagine what my mom would do if I spoke to her like that... let alone at 16!
Some shows are faring well against the Olympics. I only saw bits and pieces, but the bits and peices I did see made me want to rip that girl a new one. I think her family should just take that kid from her now and hope that eventually she matures enough one day to raise him. I love how her and her friends were talking about how responsible she was as a pregnant girl and how she would never take her baby to clubs or bars but she would to house partys...way to keep it classy.

I am glad the show is doing well, all gripes aside, I think the show is legit.
The girls that talk to their parents like that **** me off. I really did not like the girl or her boyfriend! She was like Farrah 2.0
Yeah I can't imagine talking to my mom like that either. The only thing different from her and Farrah was that Farrah at least loved her baby even if she didn't want to stay home with her all the time.

At least she's not a cry baby like Farrah but she should have more respect.

So this couple (Nikkole and Josh) is the new Maci and Ryan. Except, this kid might be even worse than Ryan. He is SO much like him. Nikkole is sweet and soft-spoken, and this guy does nothing but insult her and tell her to shut up. She's IN LABOR and he's telling her it's not a big deal, he won't hold her hand, AND he started picking a fight with her mom also while she was IN LABOR. It was quite disturbing. Josh displayed some signs of very abusive behavior. Not physical, but mental abuse. JUST LIKE RYAN. And he's very controlling. Making her leave her homecoming dance (since he was expelled and couldn't go) only to ditch her in the parking lot and make her walk home. Anything she says or does she is just complaining, or being selfish, being needy. For crying out loud these kids are babies having babies, the least he could do is BE there for her. Ugh his behavior just got me really upset. And it makes me so sad for Nikkole. :( Between this and last weeks show (with Jenelle's disgusting behavior), I don't even know if I can take this show anymore. It's just too depressing...
Wow, definitely couldn't stand Josh. I think he was worse than Ryan. I felt so bad for Nikkole and her mom.

It just seemed like he did nothing but use & abuse her. I was happy when he finally broke up with her at the end, because I don't think she would ever leave him... but it was so sad to hear her say that she would STILL take him back again. I felt so bad for her mother threw the whole episode... I can't even imagine watching your child be with someone like that...
I also concur with pretty much everything you said OPD. My wife and I were getting so frustrated watching the show last night. Like you said I immediately thought of Maci and Ryan but Josh was making Ryan look almost saintlike in comparison. Reality needs to punch that kid in the gut. I know their relationship was off and on but I just don't get A) how you can treat the mother of your child that way and B) you do it in front of other people, especially each of your parents. Kudos to Joshs mom for putting him in his place. Don't know his personal story but he needs a father figure in his life to show him thats not how you treat anybody but especially women. I know Nikkoles mom was right in the situation but she really needs to learn to choose her fights wisely with Josh. She had valid points but she just needed to make them and leave the situation alone. She didn't need to be arguing with a 17 year old kid. With Josh being as stubborn and stupid as he is there was no way she was going to get through to him then and there. I just couldn't get over the fact that he was demanding her respect. Respect is earned you selfish little brat. Someone needs to knock some sense into that little *****.
Josh is Ryan x2. Its sad. And Jenell, Is far worse than Farrah.

So loved these last two episodes, glad were getting more likeable girls this season. Oooh when Adam sent that text to Chelsea, I wanted to jump through the screen. I was also glad to see someone who was adopted on the show. Her parents reminded me of my mom, who also adopted me. As a matter a fact, her family reminded me mine.
I agree with TJ. Last two were great. Valerie was sooo pretty! I felt bad for her because she was so nice. I wonder what nationality she is, because she looks different (in a good way) and she's adopted so she might not even know. I hope they do a Teen Mom 2 with her in it!
Josh is Ryan x2. Its sad. And Jenell, Is far worse than Farrah.
I don't agree with the latter. Jenelle isn't THAT bad. But then again I missed the last 2-3 weeks of this show beginning with Nikkole. Is it getting good? As for Valerie, I think she's Half-Black, Half-White or just plain african american with cocoa buttered skin. Hope I'm not offending anyone. Also I had no idea she was adopted.

You didn't seen Jenelle's episode? Jenelle IS that bad, worse than Farrah. BTW, I read on Chelseas formspring that they picked 20 girls. So they are either splitting the the season or they already have season 3 girls picked. And btw, you can already pre-order season 2 on amazon. MTV doesn't waste anytime.

You and me both!! But you know what...she shouldn't have stuck it out with him that long to begin with. Perhaps I'm just realizing how far I've come since 16 (umpteen yrs ago), but I would never, EVER put up with a guy treating me the way most of these girls allow these boys to treat them. Telling them to shut up? You're annoying? Stop bugging me? I mean, I understand the fantasy of wanting to be a perfect family when the baby comes a long, but leopards do not change their spots. If he was a **** before, which it seems he was since they were "on and off" for so long, then he's STILL going to be a ****. It's only going to hurt more now that the kid is involved. And her Dad was way to mellow. Mine woulda had the shotgun out after reading that text, and that boys body would have never been found. :D

These girls really just seem like they have low self esteem. I know a lot of *******s but these guys.. Whats with these girls trying to settle down and find their soulmates at 16?
