This is coming from... who...? Who exactly are you to be judging him? You've never met him, you don't know anything about him aside from what MTV wants you to believe.
Ryan is awesome for three reasons; he is a straight hairdresser, how often do you see that? He gets the gay community so upset they feel the need to post on hate his twitter/facebook. And last but not least, he skateboards. Oh yeah and his chick is hot.
What's kind of sad is that you actually think he pays a girl to be his girlfriend, are you that niave?
I have seen it quite often and not one of the men I know who does hair acts anything like Ryan, he is an immature, self loathing little boy who needs serious help (whether he is gay or not, although I totally expect him to be the next Seattle Stephen)
I will say that I think Preston needs just as much help though, they were both acting like immature little middle school girls...but Ryan calling the cops after he stooped just as low, and acted like he got justice when he was clearly being laughed at to his face by the officers...that just shows that he is not all there up top.
The best part to me above all else was that Ryan didn't take in the fact that a little *** on his ciggarettes probably really isn't going to bother Preston since he is a gay man-***** (as he called himself, LOL) [strike]Maybe Ryan just wanted to give Preston a little taste.[/strike] Wait, erm, my typing was on a roll, scratch the last statement if it offends you. :D
Seems like Ashlee is the one with almost no air/storyline.
In every season you have 1 person that has the least airtime.
Austin: Lacey
Cancun: The gay guy i forgot his name.
D.C: The singer forgot her name.
Denver: Stephen.
Key west: José
I'd say she is getting more air time than Eric, and she is by far the funniest cast memeber.
If you're such an advocate for the gay community, as I am going to assume you are, you should know that its really rude to go around talking like you know what someones sexuality is when you clearly don't. Once again I will say this, no one has to right to say what Ryan's sexuality is EXCEPT FOR RYAN. The end. It doesnt matter how 'gay' or 'feminine' he acts. It wouldnt even matter if he was bringing home guys and sleeping with them. If he says hes straight, who are you to say otherwise? People define their own sexuality, and no one has the right to tell anyone else what their sexuality is. I don't go around telling straight people they are straight just like no one should go around telling Ryan he's gay when he says hes straight.

I like you :)
As far as I'm concerned, Ryan signed up to be on TV and if he's gonna act like a pr*ck on national TV than he deserves to face the consequences. I don't feel sorry that people write him hate mail because he deserves it.
Not to mention, I just read an article that posted some tweet he wrote that was basically something like about how you know you are getting AIDS after a sensation in the *** or something equally stupid. If I were a homosexual, I'd probably send him hate mail after that too. So yes MTV can edit things a certain way on TV, but MTV's not editing his twitter.

This made my day.
Anyway, I really loved yesterday's episode it was pretty entertaining. I hope Sahar does her thing but wasn't her boyfriend supposed to be visiting by now? Same with Ashlee's brother.

So you're essentially saying that if we were watching Ryan suck some other guy's **** (or vice versa) or have sex with him, he could still claim he's 100% straight and we wouldn't have any right to say otherwise?
I don't buy it, sorry. I get what you're trying to say, but the way you said it is just not right. If he's "closeted", he shouldn't be bringing guys home to **** in the first place. And if he's going to bring someone of the same sex home to hook up or have sex with ON NATIONAL TELEVISION, he should be prepared for the "umm yeah, he's probably gay" onslaught.
I understand that it's not exactly cool for people to call Ryan gay because he's a male hairdresser, or because he has extremely feminine tendencies, or because he wears skinny jeans...but if he were to bring a dude home? Come on.

As much as I hate to agree with you on this, it is the truth. Many people judge Ryan by saying he is feminine and such. That don't mean he is gay, but if he were to willingly and soberly have sex with another man, that would make him gay or bi. This is coming from a HUGE Ryan fan.
I think Ashlee gets more airtime than Sahar and Eric, besides last nights episode where it was obviously a half Sahar based episode
[strike]I dont agree with that :p

That's true, I forgot about their little showmance.

I think what's she's saying is that it's nobodies business to tell him otherwisevabout his sexuality. Even if he does bring guys home and claims to be straight who in the hell are they (his roommates) to tell him otherwise?

Well if he calls his definite gay roommate a ******, complained about him having sex in the house, and told him he feels like killing himself whenever a gay person touches him, and then brought guys home to have sex with them, I'd say it'd be entirely in their right to call him gay.

Why even mention that Ryan called Preston a fa**ot? Preston called Ryan one too, so that's out of the question. I don't truely thinks he means that when he says he'd kill himself when a guy kisses him on the neck, he's just being overdramatic and a bit immature. But that wouldn't be the first time Ryan contradicted himself :P

My opinion of what she was trying to say is that it's nobody's business to tell him otherwise about his sexuality, which I get and agree with.
However, if he is bringing guys home and having sex with them...I think they're more than entitled to think or call him gay. How many straight guys do you know bring home guys and have sex with them?

I can answer that! NONE!

I agree on all counts (although I always was under the impression Preston just called him one in retaliation and also because he knew it would hit him where it hurts, whereas Ryan seemed to just be calling him it out of hate) but I also agree with what molds was getting at in her posts.
For the record I also agree with Cristina's opinion that it isn't anybody's business but Ryan's. His sexuality, that is.
For the record, I don't like Preston all that much either. I think he has done things and said things that are just as bad as Ryan, but Ryan is just too much. I couldn't live with him. He's like certifiable. Preston is at least self aware and did apologize, whereas Ryan seems to believe he's done nothing wrong still. Ironic that he stole Preston's debit card, because that is something Preston actually COULD call the police about.
I do agree with what you're saying, however she was right that it is rude to call a straight guy, gay, when he hasn't done anything to notion that he's gay.
I do agree with what you're saying, however she was right that it is rude to call a straight guy, gay, when he hasn't done anything to notion that he's gay.
Oh I'm not disagreeing with that at all. But saying they can't even call him gay after he hooks up with another dude is going a bit far.
Maybe Ryan constantly having to defend his sexuality is just God's karmic way of saying "maybe you shouldn't have called someone a ****** in the first place..."
Agree
In the next upcoming episodes, there was one part where Sahar says that "she knows something about Ryan that nobody in the house knows"...Did anyone catch that?...I wonder if she is refeering that Ryan's gay and nobody else knows about it...Hmmm....
So you're essentially saying that if we were watching Ryan suck some other guy's **** (or vice versa) or have sex with him, he could still claim he's 100% straight and we wouldn't have any right to say otherwise?

In case you're not aware, people are ALLOWED to be sexual with the same sex but that doesnt mean they are GAY. My point about this whole thing is that people define their own sexuality. I know some guys from my high school who hooked up with the token gay guy of my school, because they wanted to get their **** sucked and wanted to see what its like... but they still consider themselves straight, so who am I to tell them otherwise? What about girls who decide they want to see what its like being with another girl? Does that immediately make them lesbian? No one has the right to tell someone what their sexuality is. Would you tell someone their favorite color was pink if they said its not? No, because that is just stupid. Obviously that example may be 'extreme' to some people, but you'd be really surprised how many straight guys have hooked up with other men and still consider themselves straight.
To repeat, my point is only that no one has the right to say Ryan is gay when he says he straight, regardless of what he does or how he acts. It's just a matter of respect and it irks me to no end when people try to tell other people what their sexuality is.

Not the point I was trying to make. I'm aware of a lot of things.
If people are allowed to define their own sexuality, does that mean that Preston can sleep with multiple men and still consider himself to be straight? Even though it's well known that he likes men, not women?
If Ryan were to go and have sex with another man (let's call him Bob) I wouldn't go up to his face and say "Ryan, you're gay." But I would sure talk to my friends and be like "Guys, Ryan had sex with Bob. Twice. And they were sober. I'm pretty sure he's gay."
To repeat, I agreed with your point that it isn't fair for people to call Ryan gay when he hasn't (really) displayed any (extreme) signs of being homosexual. But if he were to bring another guy home and have sex with them (multiple times)? That's kind of a sign of being homosexual.
But I find that really really really weird that guys from your high school wanted to see what it felt like to get oral sex from another dude. Like a guy's mouth feels any different than a girl's...

That example is stupid.
Does this mean that if I was a member of the Klan, I could still say I wasn't racist, and you'd have to believe me? Or would you go to your friends and be like "Yo guys, I'm pretty sure molds is racist"?
There are a number of better examples I could use, and all are ridiculous. Your argument makes no sense to me.
I know some guys from my high school who hooked up with the token gay guy of my school, because they wanted to get their **** sucked and wanted to see what its like... but they still consider themselves straight, so who am I to tell them otherwise?
That is very odd. If I wanted that same sensation and still wanted people to think I was straight, a male partner is probably the last resort I'd choose. You have some strange "straight" guys at your school...
But that's beside the point. If a male engaged in sex (whether it be oral or whatever) with another male, then I think it's pretty safe to say that both parties are gay (or if you want to keep grasping at straws, "experimenting in college"). Calling someone gay after they've slept with the same sex is calling a spade a spade. It isn't an insult, it's a simple observation. That is what molds was trying to say.
Let's use another RW example, if you're still not convinced. Brooklyn Chet got a lot of accusations of being gay simply because of the way he dresses. Does he go around on immature tirades, calling other gays f****** just to justify his heterosexuality? No. There are lots of mature ways to handle situations like this, and I personally don't find Ryan's behavior fitting in this realm of maturity one bit.
