I love that Ryan is gone, although I would love to see him on one of the challenges, would be awesome to see what guys like Landon, Wes, Kenny, etc think of him lol. I'm sure one of them would want to kill him or something
Being featured on a reality television show could do nothing but help somebody's career. Most of these people dream of being famous for being themselves (peaked up a level for the camera) and they'd be stupid not to. And, honestly, the majority of you guys don't think in terms of dollars enough. Kind of sad.
You're joking right? There is a reason that some people have done nothing but bartend since their time on the Real World... For the most part, being on a show such as Real World is nothing but negative for one's professional image...unless you're going into the entertainment industry. Don't believe me? Type "Paula Meronek" into Google and tell me if, knowing nothing else about that person, you would call them back for an interview based on the results.

Next week episode is a good example. And others just claim that this experience could help them with their personal stuff.
it sucks that Ryan is gone... he was pure entertainment, he made this season hilarious to watch and brought a lot of drama... The rest of the season will prob be boring now... Sahar said "Ryan leaving is the best thing that can happen to the house" which is probably true but its also the worst thing that can happen to the people who enjoy the show
But a lot of these people do want to go into the entertainment industry. Next week episode is a good example. And others just claim that this experience could help them with their personal stuff.
Now, yes. Three years ago, no.
Yeah, in a confrontational group setting over some petty stuff? Sounds like a lot of fun.
Confrontational? Were they throwing up gang signs and cursing at him and blackmailing him into having a simple meeting with them? I'm not sure what you saw on your television, but I saw 7 people practically begging him to just talk it out. I don't know if you've ever had roommates, but when you have issues or differences, you talk them out in a calm manner, which is what they attempted to do. Too bad Ryan cried about it and ran away like a 14-year old.
Why not? No sense of humor? Look, that whole meeting was very informal, and was taking place in the front living room of a house. "OMG a beer!" Get over it.
Why not? Because they're taking up her time. She isn't there to have fun and games with them, she's there to educate them. They didn't have to listen to her, all they had to do was sit there and at least look like they were being attentive, but I guess that's too difficult of a task for super-diva Ryan.
I didn't say anything was false, just that they were small issues which could be dealt with 1 v 1, not in a gang-up scenario. He expressed several times that he wasn't doing it, yet they persist.
Maybe they persisted out of concern for his OCD behavior? Yeah, I'm sure they all wanted to sit him down on a couch just to yell at him. It all makes sense now! What should they have done? Form a line in front of Ryan and talk to him 7 different times, as to avoid "ganging" up on him all at once? A house meeting is very common when you're living with roommates and issues ensue. It isn't out of the ordinary. And yes, you did imply they were falsely accusing him by just that: making "dumb accusations".
Of course not, but voting to kicking him off for nothing is seriously a power trip. Everyone has problems, get over yourselves people.
"Everyone has problems" is not a panacea wild card you can pull out to excuse bratty behavior. If Ryan was acting like a spoiled 14 year old egotist, I believe he is the one who needs to get over himself. Not the other way around. You live with seven other people. You expect them to mind your space? Mind theirs.
So, basically everyone - Ryan, Knight, Sahar, Jemmye, and Preston. Alright.
Way to completely overlook the degree Ryan was making his rude comments to his roommates, but making a blanket statement to condemn the entire house for the small comments they make. "You're white trash"? "He's a meathead"? "Get a brain, you're a *****"? Really? Are we honestly discussing this right now? The kid needs to learn some tact. Simple as that.
This thread was so ridiculous! I agree that Entertainment Television doesn't give a **** about ethics...but those people (mental problems or whatever) agree to be on television. It's not like they're mentally unfit to make decisions for themselves. So whatever - as Heather B said: They use what you give them. (Spare me your pity-party *****ing about "editing". Heard it. Moving on..) Ryan was good for the season, but the dude is a toolbox. An extreme mental case...hopefully he can learn something from watching his behavior on TV...or maybe his family can and try to get through to him. He's an immature little ****** - good riddance! The house doesn't need that. As far as the other 7...I really like the fair amount of face time each of them is receiving! With Ryan gone, this season will be far from over....that said, don't we only have like 2 eps left though?
All of these intense conversations about Ryan leaving and all I can comment on is if Brother and Cousin have actual names?

This thread is rediculous and laughable.
I was wondering the same thing about their names too, that was just too weird.
Without Ryan the ratings would be horrendous. I'm glad he stayed as long as he did.
Good to see Eric finally have a lot of airtime as opposed to just talking for three seconds and then disappearing for the rest of the episode. I'm also EXTREMELY glad that Ryan is gone. What a ******...
see one thing i can say is, i can understand if the cast mates are upset and annoyed by Ryan's behavior. They lived with him and knew what he did when the cameras weren't rolling and MTV probably took out some of Ryan's inappropriate behaviors that the other cast mates were victims of. But i dont get how viewers like us can get irritated by him if we aren't being affected by him. We are just on the outside looking in. Either way, we're suppose to watch this show to entertain ourselves. So i don't get how some of you can say you are happy that Ryan is finally leaving the house because lets be honest, besides the Jemmye and Knight situation, what other storyline is interesting than Ryan? BTW, next week's episode looks really, really depressingly boring.
Everybody deserves their opinion. All I'm saying is that I cover entertainment stories for a living. I've seen these things before. This season's done.
Yeah, exactly...there is one common truth about people posting on forums - if they try to back up their arguments by writing "I'm doing this for a living", they are doing anything but that. What's your point anyway? Apparently it's NOT ALL about the ratings, otherwise Ryan would have stayed. To McFly High above:...perhaps some viewers get irritated with him because they knew/know similar people, and can empathize with the other room-mates. Whether it's entertainment or not, you still can't avoid to get emotionally attached to some situations.
But i dont get how viewers like us can get irritated by him if we aren't being affected by him. We are just on the outside looking in.
The fact that people get emotionally invested in shows like this (or any form of fiction for that matter) is what gets people to keep watching. Btw, I love the picture at the head this thread. It's hilarious.
All of these intense conversations about Ryan leaving and all I can comment on is if Brother and Cousin have actual names?
LOL. Thank you. Anyways, I'm done watching this season. I'm sure the next two episodes will bore me to death. Bring on the reunion.
****. I missed it again but not really because after reading this thread, I'm glad Ryan left. And Eric mad is funny. I would've *****slapped him.
:o Jemmye beats the **** out of Knight. I just finally saw the preview.
SO sick of seeing the roomies eat subway...every episode of every season. Enough with the product placement!!! And way to go MTV/BMP....the star of the show leaves and you advertise the next episode with Sahar singing?!?! That's sure to bring in the viewers. :-\

What I don't get is that Jemmye/Knight fight and Jemmye punches Knight in the face and they decide to show Sahar singing as the preview? ***.

WTF.
As I recall, there is a Brooklyn daily of Ryan and Chet discussing subway as they were disagreeing on where to eat while driving. I think Chet makes reference to both coupons for subway and going where Ryan wanted cost money (I think maybe Pizza Hut). Can't swear my recollection is perfect on it and I am not going to go fishing for those old dailies as they are a pain to find, but I do recall seeing it and based upon it assumed they likely got some sort of free or greatly discounted subway during filming.
Just watched the episode and I enjoyed it. I had no idea Ryan was going to leave, but I am glad he did. He definitely needs some psychological help. I hope he gets it after watching his antics. Or atleast I hope his brother watches it and see's some of the things he did and convinces him to get help!

This episode was my FAVORITE.
Good or bad, this season won't be forgotten... because of Ryan.
How many episodes are there in this season? I'm sorry if it has been answered before but have been looking around this forum and can't find it answered!

Just wonderin'.... I didn't get the vibe that "Cousin" was actually Ryan's cousin... anyone know for sure? I don't think MTV arranges a drug counselor for the house on just a whim... they and the rest of the cast had to know more was going on. Having said that, I doubt drugs are/were Ryan's only issue. How long was he in the house? MTV probably milked it for as many episodes as possible, right?
