Still the best season in a few years ratings wise. I thought the season started getting worse every week around week 4, so I was surprised the ratings held as long as they did.
I'm curious to see how the next season of The Challenge does.
Just out of curiosity, how does Real World do compared to other MTV shows? It may not seem like it's doing very well, but aside from "Jersey Shore" is there any other MTV show that does better than Real World?

Teen Mom does a lot better

I'm sure it won't disappoint.

The top rated MTV shows this year, in order, according to the internet:
Jersey Shore
Teen Mom
16 and Pregnant
Americas Best Dance Crew
The Hills
RW:NO
The City
RW: DC
FMII
World of Jenks' first episode would place it between 16 and Pregnant and ABDC.
Ratings Overview
I saw this hasn't been done for this season yet, so I'm just gonna go ahead and make it easier for everyone and put together all of the ratings just to avoid going through all of these pages looking for the numbers.
Premiere - 1.261 Million Viewers/0.6 A18-34
Episode 2 - 1.692 Million Viewers/1.0 A18-34 ~ Increase
Episode 3 - 1.705 Million Viewers/0.9 A18-34 ~ Increase
Episode 4 - 1.738 Million Viewers/1.0 A18-34 ~ Increase
Episode 5 - 1.750 Million Viewers/1.0 A18-34 ~ Increase
Episode 6 - 2.043 Million Viewers/1.2 A18-34 ~ Increase
Episode 7 - 2.202 Million Viewers/1.2 A18-34 ~ Increase
Episode 8 - 1.987 Million Viewers/1.1 A18-34 ~ Decrease
Episode 9 - 2.166 Million Viewers/1.3 A18-34 ~ Increase
Episode 10 - 2.003 Million Viewers/1.1 A18-34 ~ Decrease
Episode 11 - 1.929 Million Viewers/1.0 A18-34 ~ Decrease
Finale - 1.708 Million Viewers/0.9 A18-34 ~ Decrease
Reunion - 1.699 Million Viewers/0.9 A18-34 ~ Decrease
So this season increased from the premiere, all the way to week 7 and then hung on at the upper 1.9 to lower 2.0 million range, and then fell to 1.7 with the finale and 1.6 with the reunion. If my math is correct, this season averaged 1.837 million viewers and picked up nearly 24 million viewers.
Overall, I think this season did great ratings wise, and I also enjoyed watching it. I'm hoping that Cutthroat and B2LV will pull it off as well. I'm hoping for good casting, because without a good cast, you have nothing.

Best season in a few years ratings-wise, which I thought was impressive because I thought the season really dropped off after week 4 or 5 in terms of quality. The storytelling just isn't as good as it used to be. The JS stories are presented in a far more interesting manner; also they change topics frequently and focus on lots of little plots while RW always seems to want to make a whole episode about a single story, whether it has 44 interesting minutes or not.
S#!t They Should've Shown Special
Real World: Back to New Orleans: The S#!t They Should Have Shown
- 1.380 million viewers
- 1.0/2 HH
- 0.7/2 A18-49
- 1.5/5 W18-34
I think the S#!T episodes should be shown on the same night as the reunion, or the same night as the Finale. Doing it on its own week at the end just seems like they are dragging out the season.
