I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting much from that elimination (meaning the holding of rings), because at first I pictured solid, metal rings. Now that we've seen it, I'm glad to hear it's one of the most played because it's seriously just a twist off Pole Wrestle.
Hopefully Derrick and Abram play it, I'd also like to see it played by Laurel-Camila, and Dunbar-Dan.

No, no, and I don't think so.

Well, new spoilers and I just have not been seeing eye to eye lately. It's weird that TJ just introduced the elimination game like that when it's gonna be used again. Usually when there wasn't gonna be a new game every time (ala Inferno) they'd have some sort of picking. Wonder how the cast will react to that. I mean, I know it's definitely not aloud, but the producers would be able to see, for example, Laurel vs. Camila and made sure that the elimination was the puzzle one so Camila had a fair chance. Wish they had some sort of picking process.
Judging by the little mini trailer of what's to come from the season, which, seeing CT walk/flex/intimidate/dominate, was the scariest thing I've ever seen, but it looks like Johnny goes first. It shows him and his black eye, that I'm betting CT did to him. Then he gets to watch Tyler beat him. How painful would that be?

Whoever goes second between Johnny-Tyler and Tori-Theresa has a huge advantage. Not only will CT and Tina have less stamina and energy (unless they're given time between both heats), but they also get to see strategy that the first person used.
And on top of that, going first would suck because when you're done, you have to sit back and watch and wait to see if you're going home, all without being able to do anything to redeem and save yourself. I'm feeling Johnny and Theresa go first.
It's looking like:
Blue Team: $40,000
Jenn - $20,000
Emily - $20,000
Grey Team: $90,000
Abram - $18,000
Luke - $18,000
Cara Maria - $18,000
Laurel - $18,000
Sarah - $18,000
Red Team: $170,000
Brad - $42,500
Tyler - $42,500
Dunbar - $42,500
Tori - $42,500
Of course this is all just speculation :)
Even so, it seems like such an intense challenge and in the end the payday isn't THAT great. I mean don't get me wrong, I would take any amount of money. But, when you compare the winnings, the differences aren't overwhelming.
Of course grey team members get prizes, but they win 4 1/2 challenges and end with less cash than blue team members who only won 2. Lucky break for Jenn and Emily.
I don't know if this indicates anything of what's to come...but if you watch the Aftershow on MTV.com, take a closer look at Sarah's right foot.
Been covered multiple times here already...no, it's not.

Sort of surprising that at least 1 Road Ruler has made it to the final challenge every season even as their numbers dwindle.
Sort of surprising that at least 1 Road Ruler has made it to the final challenge every season even as their numbers dwindle.
Kind of impressive, considering every recent challenge has been probably 95% Real World/Fresh Meat.

That's because Road Rulers are in general superior competitors, especially on the female side.

Maybe these good battles in the elimination rounds might bring the ratings up ?? Highly doubtful but hey I'm very optimistic. I mean, who doesn't want to see Derrick vs. Abram ?? Unless of course it's a complete thrashing, which it probably will be because Derrick is considered to be a weakling by our resident expert.
I said Derrick is the weakest of the great competitors(expect if Brad is considered a great competitor), but he's not weak.
In the preview for the rest of this season at the end of last night's episode, after CT and Tina are shown they show Johnny and it looks like he has a pretty nice black eye. Just something I noticed. It's probably not a big deal and he probably got it in one of the challenges or something. Just thought I'd mention it anyway.
Question: If its 20 thousand per challenge n 120 for the final, whats the prizes that make up the rest of the money? Prizes for what? Since they already getting 20 per challenge win.

They get prizes every time they win a challenge, just as they have for the last few.
I am also curious of the eliminations, but moreso of the content of the types of eliminations. I hope there is a derivative of "pole wrestle" and "push me" in these gulags. I did hear someone mention there was a gulag which required something like a tug of war style battle.
Tori made a profound statement to Camila, but when push comes to shove, usually the first set of eliminations are the typical "rookie initiation" explanation which the vets typically use to get the rookies to go
I can see it now
Brandon's first gulag ..... "We'll your a rookie, and you need to prove yourself to the team:
Brandon's secong gulag.... "We'll it's your first challenge, and we'''llllll, you still haven't quite proved yourself yet"
Brandon's third gulag...... "We've been through 6 or 7 past challenges and most of us till haven't won, this is your first challenge. You're time will come and you're much younger. You'll be around for plenty of these. This is our last one. You understand, don't you"
Brandon's 4th gulag........ "It's either you or me, and it's not going to be me, sorry, and good luck pal"
Brandon's exit ................. "We're really going to miss you" .... then there will be a confessional with Brad, Tyler, and Dunbar sobing and praising him for his efforts. Then weeks later on the spit they should have shown or in one of the dallies, damn, who do we send in next ...... uh, lets pull straws"
Yeah, I quoted myself because I want to check my quotes against the 4 times Brandon goes in ........................ in addition, while BMP did a Big Brother style voting technique, it's obvious that there are (5) running the Reds, and they control the voting block. Camila doesn't go in consecutively only because there are 2 girls in this alliance and Tori likes her ............ however, she is also friends with Melinda.
Morris .............. while I agree with you that the CT/Tina gulag favors the person that goes second, I am still unconvinced that Theresa could outlast Tori against Tina regardless of the pecking order. Tori is flat out stronger and better than Tina in my opinion, and Theresa does not compare.
As for CT, man they gave him a "monster edit"!!!!!!!!!!!
From what I saw in the preview, he didn't look like he was struggling much against the person he was going against. One strong dude to be walking in the opposite direction when a 200lb person is trying to pull against you. Sick!
With that said, it really doesn't matter who went 1st or 2nd. It was a matter of who CT choose to go full bore on.
If you guys want any further confirmation that the gray team doesn't win, check out the Aftershow and listen very carefully starting at 1:20.
oh thanks...
I think Red will win.
I saw the aftershow and re wound it like 3 times to that time stamp..what does she say?
The quote does not start right then, but you can very clearly hear her speaking a few seconds later.
