She is shaping up to be my favorite! I never thought I'd even like her
What makes her so likeable to you? Not that she's not likeable, I'm just curious as to how she's being perceived from people who are liking her so far.
I'm pretty neutral about her, I like how she showed her competitive side right off the bat (after the race to the Gulag that is) and also how she didn't seem to outcast herself from the cast. I also felt bad for her when she was crying to Tori, but I do think she had it coming because she was a rookie. Not necessary being called a klepto and being yelled at, but it kinda seemed like she wasn't expecting to clash heads with anybody for being new.
Oh well, I too like her so far and am glad she doesn't just take up space.
I like Camila. I didn't watch the Spring Break Challenge so I had no idea who she was but after her scene with Theresa and winning the first elimination round I'm def Team Camila.

Key words there !! All of this could change in one or two episodes. I'm neutral about her as well. I also agree with Entropy on the annoying voice thing.

Hahah exactly! If she every tries messing with Jenn, she's going waaaay down on my list :D
Btw..I did state she is a competitor, and she did good last night, and as awesome as Emilee is..it is Emilee..if she can eliminate a big opponent..then she'll earn some respect.
Why does everyone think she is some big super good competitor...she was one of the last to finish the race, did average/good in the challenge, and beat Emilee, while a win is a win, it wasn't exactly against a really strong competitor...I'm neutral about her but she annoys me, so I don't know.
I don't consider her a "Great" competitor, I just like the fact that she came to the challenge to actually compete and not to have fun. And all that showed in this first episode. I think she has potential.

I think what really made me like her is that she never backed down to the girls that were screaming in her face and calling her names. It obviously really upset her, but she never let them see that and waited to break down when they weren't around. Plus, she fought HARD to stay in there!!! I gotta respect that! :D

I was really gonna say the same thing involving her not backing down, that really showed something to me because to have a bunch of people yelling at you like that, and being the newest person to challenges, it takes a lot.
I expected to really dislike Camila and want her voted off but I have to say that thanks to Theresa I'm actually rooting for her. The way Theresa acted as if she was queen of the challenges and tried to intimidate her by just being loud, drunk and repulsive made me so angry!!! I'm hoping Camila sticks around simply so she can hopefully take out Theresa and make her swallow her slurred, drunken words. When people like Coral did it to the Austin group it was one thing. Coral had earned her superiority and really was a veteran who talked the talk AND walked the walk. Theresa has NO place to try and run things and call out Camila the way she did. Theresa has done one freaking challenge and didn't even do anything amazing on it!

I agree with you, but the big thing to me is it wasn't just a situation of vote out the rookie first - they accused her of stealing and went off on a nasty drunken rant on her. That's what really made Theresa and the other girls look really bad. I could have understood it if they were like, "we don't know her, so it's easy to vote her off or not care for her." But Theresa specifically made it a point to lash out at her like Camila did her wrong (in contrast, the Austin people on FM did act slightly obnoxious). Plus Theresa isn't one to talk - the main difference is that Camila was on this challenge with no other members from Spring Break Challenge (and none of the vet team leaders from that challenge, either). Both of them had their first show as a challenge, though the only difference is Theresa competed with actual castmembers. Still, it's only been a few of months since FM2 has stopped airing.
But for Camila at least the audience now has a reason to kind of pay attention to her. I'm sorry she had to go through that, though. And I have now gone from thinking we didn't need a SBC person on the show to thinking that they should have at least cast two of them so they wouldn't be alone.
I was expecting to dislike her right off the bat because all I had to go off of was the YouTube meltdown video, but she held her own in the argument with Theresa (which totally turned me off to Theresa btw) and then kicked butt in the gulag. I think the more I see of her the more I may like her, although I think she still kind of has to prove herself, just because she bet Emilee doesn't mean she's off the hook for the next couple Gulags since she is still a rook. But who knows, one or two bad episodes could change all that like people already mentioned.
So since she won at the SB Challenge and BMP is treating it like every other challenge. Im guessing in a Ruins2 she will be considered a champion lol smh.
Wait does anyone know how much money Camila made in the spring break challenge.?
Well Team Susie won $35,000 to spilt amongst themselves. I don't know how many people were on the team because some teammates sat out on certain days. So after the spilt and taxes, I'm guessing Camila walked away with a few grand. Lets say no more than 3k...(after taxes)
I believe she's from Brazil, just has lived in the US a big part of her life, according to what somebody said on one of Derrick's podcasts, think it was Brandon.
Is she actually FROM Brazil, or just of Brazilian descent?
She's definitely from Brazil but I believe her family now lives in Lincoln.
I like Camila, I think she's been doing well. I'm curious about her last name, though (sorry if this is random or if someone else brought it up) but Nakagawa is a very Japanese last name, and I know there is a large Japanese population in Brazil (the largest outside of Japan, actually) does Camila have some Japanese roots?
