Survivor: Redemption Island - Premiere

Best first tribal council ever. I mean, seriously... Usually going into the first tribal council, the vote is either unanimous or close to unanimous. I'm hoping this means a good rest of the season, but with Russell on the show that's a hard thing to wish for. I was impressed that he didn't get 90% of the airtime though. I think he only had three confessionals or so as opposed to Samoa where he had 65.
Philip reminds me of the weird men on Metro trains who are totally off their rocker and rant to the person next to/in front of them about their days as a "secret agent" and refer to themselves as "old timers" and call me a "youngin", with copious Carter and Reagan remarks thrown in. Anyways, as much as I enjoyed the outcome of last season, it wasn't a great season, and this looks like it'll be way better. Redemption Island actually seems like it could work out to be pretty entertaining. I just don't know how I'll be able to remember the tribe names, because right now I can only remember the one that sounds like zapatos.
I like the premiere. A lot of barely seen contestants though Andrea, Grant, Krista, Julie. If anyone is interested the spoilers were off on the 1st boot.
On one hand, CBS’ Survivor, well, survived — any network will take 11.2 million viewers and a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating against Fox’s pet Death Star. But Survivor: Redemption Island was down 29 percent from a year ago and had its lowest-rated opener ever.
So shocked it was their lowest rated opener ever. It was such a great episode compared to the past couple of seasons, minus Heroes v. Villains, but I think this season has hope. And it doesn't really help it was going against American Idol...

(I started not to watch it but did anyway.) I'm glad I did watch it because this season's Premiere tops last season's.
I really liked the Premeire Rob and Russell didn't take up as much screentime as I thought they would.
I really liked the Premeire Rob and Russell didn't take up as much screentime as I thought they would.
I also loved that. Good to see Russell not hugging the camera this time around. Too bad all his spare screentime might go to Mr. IUsedToBeAFedAgent. Can't believe I'm saying this but I might prefer the focus right back on Russell if that is the case this season.
This premiere was not only the lowest rated premiere, in the Survivor franchise, it was the lowest rated episode. Anywho, I really enjoyed the first episode. Phillip is off-the-wall nuts and I love that! I think his undies are a little too tight. And I am glad Russell wasn't on my screen every other second. I think CBS finally got the hint, no one wants to see him anymore. I hope this cast is better than the last. Some seem fun, like the furry little Koala Ralph!
This episode was very interesting, I hope Francesca can pull off a DUEL. I just hope someone from Redempt Island comes when the tribes are scrambled before the merge. This is one season that I don't need spoilers for! Isn't it funny how Phillip found a way to fit a "Q" in Francesca's name.

I have a feeling that going against Idol will be extremely tough for Survivor. I'm still not used to Survivor being on Wednesdays.

Anyway, here's to hoping Phil sits on a sharp rock.

federal agent guy is super annoying. I like the other tribe better

Oh fantastic. CAN NOT WAIT!
I think Jeff left out turn your head because I know for sure I don't want to see him in that underwear again...
well if the scene involves Federal Agent Drymouth in his skivs, "you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll hurl" may be the more fitting comment for that
Sorry this one's so late, but:
