Ugh. WTF? Once again, I'm very disappointed in the judges decision tonight, but I'm tired, so, more on this tomorrow!
Ugh. WTF? They are getting rid of all my favorites. I'm thinking I'm going to start liking people I don't want on the show so they will go next.

WHo do you think should have been sent home?
What'd you guys think of the group dance? I haven't had a chance to see how they edited it to try to make them look on point.
I was upset too but mostly about the girl sent home. To me it was quite obvious that Ashley was the weakest girl in the bottom three and probably one of the weakest overall. She definitely should have been sent home and I really can't understand why there was even one vote to eliminate Miranda, let alone a majority. I do think Robert was the right choice. He wasn't growing as quickly as needed and I do think he was bringing Miranda down. I would have much rather seen Miranda and Chris partnered after this week because I think he is being brought down by Ashley. Her biggest flaw for me is her lack of emotional connection to the dances. For me, she is kind of like Kurt last season where she can't seem to stop smiling and start acting a little. The "Jailbird" dance is the best example of this. She did all the steps fine but there was a big difference between the emotional connection Chris was giving and the lack of performance by Ashley. And Nigel's comments made no sense, once again. "Miranda. You have been the most improved and we think you are one of the strongest girls...but we are sending you home for no apparent reason! See ya!" Oh. Cool. Thanks judges.

It wasn't all that to me.
I was upset too but mostly about the girl sent home. I do think Ashley and Chris together sometimes come off as the weakest, but I guess based solely on the Dance for your life, IMO, Miranda was the weakest. But you're right about Ashley, her emotional connection is just ehhh. I think Chris is cute. lol Robert is definitely the weakest to me. But Chris has received more bad comments week to week than Robert from the judges. They always say Ashley is better than Chris, so I guess they just like her.
What'd you guys think of the group dance? I haven't had a chance to see how they edited it to try to make them look on point.
I really enjoyed the group number and thought it was a great routine. They did keep panning to certain people and did edit to make it seem like everyone was on point, but I thought overall it was good. I can't wait for America to actually start voting because then maybe we'll get it right.
Not that I agree or disagree, but I am curious to hear other's views. WHo do you think should have been sent home?
Ashley and Chris. Also Taters I agree I was shocked too that after all the judges praise of Miranda, they chose to send her home. It was especially shocking as I had JUST watched Wednesday's performances last night and then immediately watched the elimination. Mr. OPD and I looked at eachother like .
They always say Ashley is better than Chris, so I guess they just like her.

I can't wait for America to actually start voting because then maybe we'll get it right.
I think it's like cryssy said, judges have favorites just like we do and sometimes I think they base their favorites on who they think they can mold or who will be fan favorites down the line. So bubbly personalities tend to win out over more subdued people. It's really too bad and gets really annoying when there seems to be no logic to their voting decision. I don't want this to turn into American Idol where the winner becomes predictable based on their look or personality. I'd much rather have talent win out even though Nigel always insists it's "America's Favorite Dancer" not the BEST dancer. I just want the judges to keep the best dancers around so that when it comes time for America to choose their favorite we are picking from the best, not the best personalities or smiles.

I always wonder if it's a dance competition or personality competition..I mean, personality always helps I guess, but I thought the point was to have the best dancer. EDIT: And TBH I always look for the judges to make a fair decision based on the dancing while the voters may have just picked their favourite. But not anymore I guess... the judges are picking their favourites too... not particularly based on dance it seems.
That's what I hate. It should be the best dancer not favorite.
but I guess based solely on the Dance for your life, IMO, Miranda was the weakest.
Strike that, I re-watched it, Miranda was definitely better.

Wow. I am SO HAPPY with this Top 10!! FINALLY Ryan is gone!! :dance2: HOWEVER. It came at a price. A dear, dear price. My favorite guy Alexander is gone, and all I have to say about that is a great big WTF?!?!?!!? I did NOT see that coming. How did they get rid of Alex when Mitchell AND Ricky have been in the Bottom 3 twice?? (I was hoping they'd get rid of Mitchell). So, I have no idea what they were thinking getting rid of Alexander. It was completely baseless. I will mourn his beautiful face and smooth lines... :girl_cray: On another note, color me majorly surprised with the "All-Stars": Melody! Allison! Pascha! Comfort! Twitch! CHELSEA!?!?! (I figured she was locked in with ABC/Dancing with the Stars). So, I'm really looking foward to seeing all of them back.

She annoyed me... but yes Alex!!! I thought he danced really well... then Nigel was like "You sucked.... get the hell out of my studio"... (eh, I overdramatize). I was surprised.
I really do love that Neil Patrick Harris is the guest judge tonight! And I must say I still love Pasha and Robert with his shirt off. Also, probably my favorite episode of the season. All the dances were practically spot on and SO good! I'm sure America will have a tough time sending people home. And I'm also a happy camper about a new batch of All-Stars next week! I like this format better.

I honestly had NO idea who he was, had never seen him before. But, I pretty much fell in love with him last night. *Drooooool* I loved the entire show. But I'm actually really bummed that they are doing new all-stars every week. I was hoping they'd keep these ones for the duration. I kinda don't want to keep track of new people every. single. week. :(

Who the heck is this group performing? Is it another one of Diddy's group doomed for failure? Never heard of them.
Who the heck is this group performing? Is it another one of Diddy's group doomed for failure? Never heard of them.
Definitely muted that and didn't listen to any of it...
I'm kind of disappointed now from who the judges picked to go. I wish the other two would have gone.
Definitely muted that and didn't listen to any of it...
Lucky you... unfortunately, my ears were subject to those horrible sounds.
Forgive me if I'm late to the party, but I just realized that choreographer Dee Caspary (one of the contemporary choreographers) was in Newsies way back in the day.
Gonna be so so strange to see Lady Gaga on the panel judging... lol. On the other hand, although I like Melanie, I really didn't understand how she was the "rock" in that dance last week. Beautiful dance, confusing concept. It's time for Jordan to go home... really.
While thats true he was more famous for Kids Incorporated the show Fergie, Mario and JLh were apart of in 1980s.
Yes, well while I was laying in bed hungover yesterday and watching Newsies, I saw the face as familiar :)
Hungover? yum-yum. I wish I could drink but I can't.
Hungover? yum-yum. I wish I could drink but I can't.
Yesterday was not yum-yum. And trust me, you're not missing much. You're probably better off not drinking.

All I can say is WOW at the Sasha and Melanie routine. Very good! Not as great as last week's episode overall, but I feel as if this season is the best since Season 5. And very bold for Nigel to predict one of those two I mentioned to be a winner. Shocking.

It was really great that they had to dance together AND got a great choreographer to boot. Battle of the mohawks. And it was great.
