They are already up to Season 11?? I always give it a chance, but the past [strike]6 years[/strike] few seasons have been horrible. Like usual I will watch auditions and make fun of those that can't sing, but after that, probably not.

Just one more season and then they can do American Idol All Stars with all of the 12 winners!
Wow the auditions so far were pretty damn good. That NBA cheerleader however may get the boot in Hollywood Week.
You really think so? I personally thought the opposite. They were good, but not that great. None of the people that auditioned last night caught my eye or stood out to me. The only one I remember is that kid that went first, but only because he reminded me of a 10 year old black Justin Bieber.
I stopped watching American Idol after the new judges came in. Now I'm more interested in The Voice.
I tried to give The Voice a shot, but it was horrible compared to American Idol.

what about Phillip Phillips?!
Whose bright idea was it to air this tonight. 10 oclock at night at that? If I fall asleep I'mma choke somebody.
I'm assuming when they actually schedule this, someone thinks that football will run on time...they are always wrong.

Hell you're right. In fact as much as I love the NFL it still prevents me from watching shows that should start on time like CSI Miami/TAR/Undercover Boss and in this case AI. I also hope this doesn't become a trend for season 11 though Tuesdays are not a good day either. I'll guess will find out if they'll do Sundays/Wednesdays/Thursday when they do the live shows.
The girl who did Look at Me Now was funny as hell. Also, Jim Carrey's daughter was delightfully good.
This show is still so basic but I cannot deny Elise Testone and Heejan Hun much like I could't deny Hayley Reinhart and Casey Abrams. Philip Philips has potential that I also cannot deny.

Heejun is definitely my favorite. He didn't pick a great song this week, but I think he'll start doin better. IMO, Shannon should have left a long time ago. I never really liked her.
Top 2 will be Joshua and either Jessica (ugh) or Holly. Voting for Joshua here.
You don't like Jessica?
Josh KILLED it Wednesday night. I've never seen anyone that good on AI. He had me jumping up and down. I was feeling him for sure.
Maybe it's because they haven't shown much in the way of backstory or personality for her but she just seems so robotic to me. I'm also not generally a fan of people who are semi-professionals or have years and years of experience competing, then come on AI. Church or school choirs aren't really the same thing.
Joshua was good, is always good. But he's no Adam Lambert. Noone has ever been better on AI.
It wouldn't surprise me if Colton made top 3-4. He has the teen girl vote going for him (and will monopolize it if/when DeAndre/Phil leave) and he's fairly consistent from week to week. His voice is interesting (in a good way). He hasn't shown much in the way of a low range, and his upper register lacks the control of someone like Adam Lavigne. I feel he could really hit his stride with some better song choices. Some songs I would like to hear him try (in keeping with the rock/pop mix) are: Queen's We Are the Champions (and behind the piano again), Muse's New Born (never happen in a million years as it's not a song to be shortened for an AI broadcast; the significant instrumentation-only parts are important for the integrity of the song but I think it would fit him well), Neon Trees' Animal and anything by Snow Patrol. I think these types of songs would show off the strongest parts of his range.
Aereas, you have made some excellent song suggestions for Colton. I'd love to hear him do some Neon Trees or Snow Patrol. I think that's the kind of artist he is. Although he did ok this week, I agreed with Steven. The song was boring. No one cared.
I think Erika will be the next to go. Although she's fabulous, she doesn't have the fan base to support her.
I'm happy Jermaine is gone as well. He did nothing for me and I was annoyed that the judges insisted upon his presence.
So I've watched the past 30 minutes of Idol in the background. I'm not too impressed, especially with all this Jessica Sanchez hype. All I got out of that performance was yelling.
EDIT: So I've heard all of them sing and I'm convinced that Joshua and Philip are the two best performers.

Phillip 100% will win, which is unfortunate. He's been doing the same thing since his audition. His Usher performance is the only time I've been impressed by him all season.

Really reminded me of Kris Allen's "Heartless" performance.
Jessica Sanchez wasn't as good as she has been in the past. She did do alot of yelling tonight. Youtube her performances of "Stuttering" and "Sweet Dreams". She is really good.
Final 4 is Colton, Jessica, Josh, and Phillip. Any of those could actually win and all will get contracts along with Skylar.

I think Skylar will be there instead of Jessica/Joshua.

That's not the first performance I've seen of her. I just don't see all this hype about her that everyone is. She should have gone last week, in my opinion. I've always hated the judges' save since they introduced it.
No one that's been saved by the judges has ever placed higher than 4th. She won't make it there.

Yep. I'd rank Skylar 3rd.
This is how it should go based on performances:
1st- Jessica
2nd- Skylar
3rd- Joshua
4th- Phillip
5th- Elise
6th- Colton
7th- Hollie
This is probably how it will go:
1st- Phillip
2nd- Skylar
3rd- Colton
4th- Jessica
5th- Joshua
6th- Hollie
7th- Elise
I may be bias because Im in complete love with Jessica, so I am rooting for her to win. But putting my love for her aside, I can see her going home tomorrow. Her performances weren't really that good this week.

Just based off tonight's episode (I didn't see much this week except a little over half) and based on the small amount of time I've watched this season, here's what I think.
1st: Philip
2nd: Colton
3rd: Joshua
4th: Skylar
5th:Elise
6th: Jessica
7th: Hollie
