For some "strange" reason, people in Kansas think Syracuse will end its run in the round of 32.
Interesting that Mississippi doesn't have that either. I guess they don't think So. Miss. can beat KSU.
My final four: Kentucky, Mizzou, FSU, and UNC with Kentucky over FSU in the final.
Okay I chickened out and put FSU over Syracuse but it didn't change my championship any.
I wouldn't consider that chickening out...that's a smart decision if you ask me :D

You just have to pick them now from the mascot and especially after that comeback! Such a shame they'll definitely be losing to Kentucky...
Big Red
I actually have a WKU hat.
That game was just f---ed big time. I felt bad for Miss Valley St., they just crumbled as soon as WKU put the full court press on them.

Very interesting bracket you've got there, HD.
Interesting to say the least. Nate Silver calculates the odds of USF making the final four a minuscule 0.8% and their chance of even getting out of the first round at an anemic 38.6%.
That said, I do like the NC State sweet 16 prediction. :D
That said, I think everyone here should update their bracket to show them losing to UNC Ashville in round 1.
Hmm, this first half has been concerning. Maybe my sarcastic advice was actually good advice!
UNC-Asheville really got hosed by the refs.
No doubt they got hosed. Worst officiating I've ever seen.
If anyone has these overrated hacks (Syracuse) going far, they made a HUGE mistake. They get beat next round.

I had them losing to K-State before Fab Melo was ruled ineligible. Them losing Fab Melo and their performance in this game just confirmed my feeling on them.
I don't know if UNC-Asheville would have won if the refs didn't make so many mistakes but they lost a chance to win it.
What was I thinking picking BYU to win their first two games. Jimminey Crickets.
Correction: I picked WVU to go to the Sweet 16--what was I thinking.....

USF was a total gamble pick. One factor was VCU from last year coming out of that First Four game. Second is USF's style -- nobody scores more than 60 against them. They are like Butler from last year but with arguably better physical talent.
So if Kentucky loses early, everyone is screwed except Help Desk.
Very interesting bracket you've got there, HD.
Every time I go "chalk", follow what the experts say, I usually get burned. Anyway, Capliari has consistently put together these one-and-done teams with Memphis and Kentucky and none of them have ever won a title. I guess you could argue he should have won back in '08 with the Derrick Rose team. But still, maybe it's just bad luck...or maybe it's because he can never keep the same group together for even 2 years, much less 4. I just don't trust them under pressure.
Of course, about half the reasoning for my pick was UConn beating Iowa State -- I thought physically UConn was about one of the only teams that could physically match up with Kentucky. The other team in that region that fits this description is Baylor. We'll see.
Spoke too soon. Tied up now.
Cincy kind of collapsed and Texas got hot. I picked Texas to win this game, so I'm hoping they can pull it out. Cincy's FT shooting is god-awful. Reminds me of that Memphis team a few years back.
I don't think NC State has the legs under them.
A 14 point win against the 5 seed as the 11 seed definitively is a good start...

Dream all you want but this is not going to be another Jimmy V against all odds race to the Championship season for NC State. I think I have them winning the first couple but that'll be about it for them. Sweet 16 is as far as they're going. They'll beat what I presume will be Georgetown and lose to Kansas who will be playing for the Championship in their stead.
'Bama lost focus midway through the second half and never regained true form. It was their game to win and they blew it down the stretch.
Florida looks to be on cruise control...

I knew I shouldn't have put faith in Bama...
