I would have loved to see Diem & Emily compete against CT &Ty in this final. Those two girls would have KILLED the boys and probably Johnny and Camilla too.
Also, I noticed Diem calling CT "Chris" for most of the final. I wonder if CT is just his "challenge name." I can remember Johnny, Brad, Adam, etc. always calling him Chris.
WOW! Johnny has officially entered the top 10 all time best male competitors with his performance in this show. Diem is a true beast, as well as Emily. I am not even mad at CT for losing dude spent so much energy. But, I think he wasn't in the shape he was in rivals. Regardless, it's raining Bananas!
I totally agree Em and Ty would have taken "Jamilla" out in xbattle. Mark and Robin would have never survived that final. Oh well. Bring on the next challenge (which word is its another pairs according to Johnny on the podcast today)
The main thing I want from this next season is for it to not be a pairs Challenge. It'd be 3 out of the last 4. Also, since the Duel 2 was so pairs based, it feels kinda like it'd 4 out of the last 5.

CT is just his nickname, it's his initials(Chris Tamburello).
In this final I think it was best to be a little behind for a lot of the race, because you just walk in the foot steps of the person infront of you and its a lot easier on your legs. That's what Johnny did which was smart just walking where CT already walked, saving his energy.
Oh well, I remember that when Rivals occured, everyone was bashing how terrible Wes was on that final challenge but that didn't happen with CT on this one... what a "coincidence"
Ct is the biggest choke artist in reality show history.
It's like CT and lebron james always find a way to come up small in the clutch.
BTW, this is way worse than what WES did last year for 5 reasons.
1 wes was in pain last year on the FIRST DAY , but he still managed to finish first. Kenny and wes lost because they didn't find key before tyler and johnny.
2 CT LED THE FINAL DAY up until he choked it away on the final lap
3 The great CT got beat 1 on 1 by camilla on a stick :blum3:
4 This challenge was made for ct to finally win and he failed.

Have to say their first mistake was sending Paula/Dunbar in rather than Johnny. That course would have obliterated Dummy Bear considering the shape he was in. Second mistake was sending Mark/Robin in against Emily/Ty, as again, Robin isn't know for killing these types of events.
Sad the puzzle wrecked Emily/Ty. If they had made it through with comparable times to the other two, they might have made a good showing for 1st.

IMO the people they sent to the dome has nothing to do with the fact that CT gassed out, the guy gassed out because he is a smoker, and climbing a mountain didn't help. They could have had Paula and Dunbar in the final and still there was a posibility that they might pass them too, because Paula is a runner and we don't know how Dunbar's endurance could be in this situation.
Yea idk about them getting second place. For some reason, I knew they were not going to come in first though. Diem did awesome though and I was not surprised that CT did not do so awesome. I know he is a great competitior but, he has not ever won a challenge before so I was not suprised when he didnt win this one either. But on another note, this has got to be the worst challenge I have ever seen like EVER. Some of the things they had to did were just stupid and didnt make any sense to me at all. Like what is the point of making them wipe honey off of each other while suspended in the air, or why did they have to spin on a stupid log before falling into water and having to swim to the fish line? like these challeges suck, what were they intended to measure? Who can run the best while slipping in honey? what happened to the actual brawls? The challenges that really seperated the weak bodied and minded from the strong. I am sorry but when I watch the challenges, I want to see an absolute FIGHT! I was bored and I hope the next one is better and I also hope Johnny does not show up.

There has NEVER been a season that didn't feature ridiculous Challenges like those. So how can that make it the worst season?

It was Wes talks a lot of **** in his interviews about how he is an Adonis; CT doesn't. And Diem never carried CT on her back.
Look on Cutthroat, Abram and Sarah failed on the final, but only Sarah got ragged on because she gave Cara Maria so much ****.

Exactly. I think Karma( whether it exist or not) played a big role here.
CT and Abram didnt think they were the best there and that their teammate was a big weak link.
The truth is it was people on this board who thought the CT was by far the best challenger ever, not CT himself. He is definitely one of the better challengers of all time, as is Abram, who also ******* out.
The reality is CT isn't the best overall challenger; he is the best challenger when it comes to physical one-on-one eliminations, but that is only one aspect of these challenges. Weird that the two times we really saw CT show how much better than the rest he is at strength eliminations didn't count. He lost the PushMe Duel to Brad on a technicality, and the Back-up-off-of me Gulag against Johnny was just for pride because he wasn't in the game.
Even Landon is capable of losing without excuses. The episode 8 challenge on FM2 was all physical and the female teammates had nothing to do with the outcome, yet he lost to Noor. (And I think Pete beat his time).
Does anyone know why the usual 300k pot has been reduced to 290k? Johnny and Camilla got 150k, CT and Diem got 100k, and Ty and Emily got 40k... where is the other $10,000? :S

They started giving out $2,500 to the Power Couple. I think they did it 4 times.

Ah, I see. Thank you so much for clearing that up. I don't see why after D & H were eliminated, that they couldn't have just added the 10k to the third place prize. But I guess giving out 2.5k for those daily missions made up for it.

That aside, the problem with the grueling athletic event that is the finale of The Challenge is that it is a grueling athletic event. There are no drunken hookups, no arguments, and no incidents of ill-advised blackface; it was only enjoyable if you have some sort of bizarre sexual fetish where you are turned on by frozen, exhausted alcopsychoholics.
After he was crowned the victor of The Challenge, Mr. Bananas took time out of his busy flip-cup-with-sorority-sisters schedule to tape a pod with me. During said pod he mixed in fascinating nuggets like: Camila may or may not have used drugs during filming, The Challenge pay structure is like the NBA, where veterans get better contracts than rookies, and Robin blamed him for all the evil in the world and put an actual hex on him. I would write more about Robin, but I stubbed my toe tonight right after posting the pod and am 90 percent sure it's because she heard me call her crazy and put a hex on me. Robin is now officially more intimidating than CT.

Overall I enjoyed the season, but then again, I'm addicted to this stuff.
On the actual challenges:
Unfortunately they continued the ridiculously hard 2-day final thing, which I don't really like. It should be tough, physically and mentally, but not this tough.
The jet challenge might be one of my favorites, that was insane. Way better than the helicopter rope climb from last season. Agreeing with most other people WAY too many water challenges. And also, most challenges like on the past few seasons continue to seem un-creative. There were SOOO many creative challenges in the past that had them doing silly and weird things but at the same time physically taxing and required intelligence.
Random thoughts:
I was happy to see how much fun they seemed to have on the **** they should have shown, reading dunbar's emails had me rolling!!!! lol
WAS REALLY upset not to see ct in an x-elimination round, that would have been amazing.
Can't wait to watch another, and I really hope it's not pairs again.
