Have you caught up yet? Because the most recent episode was probably the best one. It's finally getting interesting.
When I say "last week" I mean the episode that aired this past Sunday - so yes.
When I say "last week" I mean the episode that aired this past Sunday - so yes.
Gotcha. I wonder what's going to happen now. Obviously Holder is going to have to pull something to track Linden down/help her out, but how? That's what I'm looking forward to the most. All the other storylines aren't my favorite, so I don't really care what happens with them in the slightest.
Wow, what a huge step back with this week's episode. There was no story line whatsoever. I want more episodes like last week! They did say we would know who the killer is by the end of this season, right?
So they've got it narrowed down to two... I'm extremely intrigued. Sucks it's a two-night finale though. This is the only thing I don't get though. Even if we do find out who the killer is, there's no way half of the evidence Holder and Linden have collected would hold up in court. They've been off the case for a few episodes now.
So, any guesses? Is it Jamie or Gwen?
So, any guesses? Is it Jamie or Gwen?
I'm thinking they'll shock us and it'll be someone completely off the radar for some reason. But my guess is Jamie if I had to choose between the two.
Omg JAIME!!!!
Omg JAIME!!!!
I feel like it's now too obvious that it's Jamie. Would they really break a two-hour finale into two episodes, knowing that we know it's Jamie the entire time? However, if it is Jamie, I'd just like to say I called it over a year ago.

Especially after watching the preview for next week. But he definitely knows SOMETHING.
Yea I know. Especially after watching the preview for next week. But he definitely knows SOMETHING.
I absolutely agree. He either did it or he is covering big time for Gwen. I have a feeling given how the rest of this show has gone, they'll be making us think it's Jamie until about 15 minutes before the end of the season. I'm guessing that guy at the end is the Ted Wright he's been putting in his speeches?

Maybe Ames and Chief Jackson did it together
I have Dish Network and I was just informed that they are getting rid of this channel. Super bummed right now! And the most recent episode of The Killing didn't record on DVR. ARGH!

I am told that it is much better than the US version (but Europeans always think theirs are better now don't they?)

I need something to fill my Wednesday nights until Survivor is back.
I've thought about it. What I actually heard was that the Danish version is much more suspenseful than the US counterpart.
I've also thought about giving it a go. I've been very disappointed with The Killing lately and molds is right about needing something to fill Wednesday nights until Survivor (if even that will be decent this year) returns.
I've thought about it. Took too long.
Which would be nice, because while the US version has just now started getting suspenseful...it's just now started getting suspenseful. Took too long.
The first murder (2 seasons) of Forbrydelsen is supposed to closely parallel the US version through the first handful of episodes and then be totally different with a different murderer. The US version reportedly was changed up a lot to avoid the show being spoiled down wind by people who saw the original Danish version. So if you watch, expect a lot of overlap for the first few episodes and in names and relationships and such.

Why would they get rid of it? :( How will I watch Breaking Bad?!?!?! I must investigate this further...

Holy ****, alright. I didn't call it. Gah, I knew they made it too obvious last week!!
****, I forgot about it because I'm watching the NBA playoffs. Who was the killer?
****, I forgot about it because I'm watching the NBA playoffs. Who was the killer?

Jamie was the one that hit her at the casino, chased her in the woods, and put her body in the car, but her Aunt Terry was the one who put the car in drive and sent it into the water! Jamie was killed by Holder in the first 15 minutes of the episode, and Terry was arrested at the very end. Holder and Linden realized she was involved after seeing her car had a broken tail light; she picked up Ames, which is the car Jasper saw his dad getting into. Ames and Jamie were arguing about something and Terry just got out of the car and put it into drive. She didn't know it was Rosie.
Wooooooooowwwwww. I KNEW I should've watched it.
Holy ****, alright. I didn't call it. Gah, I knew they made it too obvious last week!!
I tried to give you a hint that
more than one person was involved in her death
Super good! That's all I have to say about it.
Holy ****, the Danish version is so much better. One season, 20 episodes. I didn't find myself falling asleep during any of them. While a lot of the story lines are almost identical, there are a few major story lines from the US version that deviate from the Danish version. Now that I've watched both...I kind of wish they had followed all of them. I'll be watching season 2 (which is a new case, apparently) when I have some more spare time.
This pretty much sums up my feelings. 'The Killing' finale and what went wrong with the AMC drama - Grantland
Making us care about why Rosie was killed is, in the end, a lot harder than showing us how it happened. It's the difference between real storytelling and soap operatics and it's also what separates legitimate detective work from the punch-drunk stumbling that Linden and Holder forced us to witness for 26 episodes.
I didn't watch any of Season 2 that I recall because it ******* out for me in S01. At least you find the Danish version (Europeans are much better at the crime drama IMO anyway). Did you order it on demand or watch it somewhere on the web?
