My guess as to the country went something like this: it is obviously a sunset picture because I doubt TJ is up at 6 a.m. which means it has a westerly facing desert on the ocean. I think most countries like Morocco and Australia have their deserts more inland and usually have some sorts of shrubbery and I have never seen a picture from India with huge sand dunes. I saw a show about the skeleton coast once on TV about ships wrecks. It had lots of sand layered up like that, is in western Africa, and has a cool sounding intense name worthy of TV. Google showed that the skeleton coast stretches forever but mostly beside a national park in Namibia that maybe could have other terrains for a Challenge and I am tired of looking already because I don't care that much, so that will be my guess. If that is where it is, I am not sure they would chance putting the cast in the ocean as it is supposed to be great surfing with even greater white sharks by the millions based upon another TV show I saw about surfing that was a ripoff of the Endless Summer.
LOL yea its right, Bacchus already said its Namibia like an hour ago, that's why I said I was impressed lol. Go check out the spoiler thread :P molds is a super genius :D
You guys are truly amazing, finding that city just from a picture and some barely visible roads. I guess the dessert and water helped out a bit but gees I couldnt even tell there were roads or water in the pic.
Yes, the dessert helped greatly. I'm not sure I could have figured it out without some chocolate cake.
My guess as to the country went something like this
Hooks, you had a good guess today. I will say you were the front runner early on. However, I think for a couple of Subway lunches, you could have narrowed it down a bit. Your guess was the full 976 mile coastline of Namibia. That would be like saying, "I know the location of The Real Housewives of Eastlandia. It is somewhere between Portland, Maine and Wilmington, North Carolina." It is about the tiny details and you failed in that regard. I don't know what molds got for locations in her inbox. It should be interesting.

I did think I was screwed when I saw a building in your photo as the show I saw didn't seem to have any civilization on the Skeleton Coast, thus its name. I think it said something along the lines of "If you ever end up here, you are dead because it is hundreds of miles to the nearest town and there is nothing to eat or drink along the way." The one benefit of watching way too many travel/documentary shows is that I have developed a surprising eye for terrain. At least I didn't go with my first guess, "somewhere in Africa"

It wasn't about the reward, it was about the challenge of sleuthing via info thought to be innocently posted on social media. This is twice this season that info posted by TJ has been important evidence in confirming the location of the cast.
TJ has been important evidence in confirming the location of the cast.
TJ's twitter feed reads like a GPS locator. And we appreciate that about him. :p

Besides, me loves KFC chicken liver platters--they are my Precious.

I was able to ascertain the location the hard way using the boat type, harbor layout, geographical, vegetation and demographic clues, apparent water transparency, etc. (Google plus Google Earth make for powerful tools. ) I went as far as to figure out what type of stone was used in the outer pier wall (a speckled rose granite, but that really didn't improve the locational resolution.) I didn't even see the flag!

I was looking for the country and you were looking for the town I think since you all already knew that they were in Turkey.
Based on this, it seems that Frank made it to the end and just recently got home/is on his way home.
The celebrity agent roster seemed like a good explanation to me. I don't know why Alton and Nany would be paired together.
I've speculated on why a certain situation like Nany/Alton being paired together could exist, but I think the post was deleted. Anyway, I think we might be guaranteed some new champs.
The celebrity agent roster seemed like a good explanation to me. I don't know why Alton and Nany would be paired together.
I'm going out on a limb here in thinking that the team may have had a choice in how they paired for competitions, it given the even number (4), if they could not decide as a team, then it fell to someone (the remaining cast or mission winners) to determine the pair to go in to the elimination. Personally, I really like the idea of a Dustin/Trishelle pairing. I think she's kept herself in much better shape than has Alton.
Interesting that Alton was eliminated with Nany. I still stand behind the speculation I've provided: There are no set pairs and there is some cast influence on who goes in (as a pair) from a season. Closer to the end of the game, if Alton was there and Vegas was up for elimination, I would 100% vote him in, I would never want to see him in a final. Still pulling for Jonna and CJ to take the win, and after them I would be okay with Zach and Sam or Frank and Sam. Still hoping the entire Brooklyn cast didn't make the final and I hope Sarah and Chet were sent home. I can see CJ, Zach, and Frank running this challenge, along with Alton but truthfully, I would've gotten him out of there before the final too. So are the only people that we 100% know made the finals Frank and Dustin?
Something seems odd. Based on the spoilers given, Brooklyn, San Diego, and half of Vegas and Cancun were in the finals? That's 12 people. Seems a little much for a finals for a pairs challenge, or small team. Actually, if it were teams of four, I could see three remaining teams in the final, equaling 12 people, but we have two full teams and two half teams.

I know I'm missing at least one team. I believe one team was eliminated right before the finals. I think we're looking at 10 people for the finals.
I'm confused so mold can you help clarify why Lacey and Melinda are listed twice in elimination or is it a situation like Dan's from BOTS1? I'm jumping off a bridge so help me lord if Morris is right and Frank did indeed make the finals.
I'm confused so mold can you help clarify why Lacey and Melinda are listed twice in elimination or is it a situation like Dan's from BOTS1?
Because I don't know who went first. I know that Melinda and Lacey were the first two women to leave, but don't know who was partnered with Wes and who was partnered with Danny.
I'm jumping off a bridge so help me lord if Morris is right and Frank did indeed make the finals.
Better start scouting bridges.

The second name in the pair was by logical inference at the time. The Nany/Alton thing probably now makes the pairings a little more complex for those not used to thinking outside the box.

I am officially gonna hate the finals of this challenge, all I'm saying. Screw Brooklyn and screw Frank and Ashley.
Looks like everyone's returning back to Twitter today.

I think the pairs are set up as: A) A point system, where the weakest performers of the team go in, or even the strongest. B)The winning team picks the pair. Either way, are the final winners a pair, or a whole team? Example Brooklyn wins instead of pair Chet/Sarah.
I'm shocked to see Alton was eliminated this would be his 1st time not making it to the end of a challenge. That being said I've always believed Alton was mostly all hype anyway if you look at his elimination round resume he's only beaten cupcakes like Laterrian, Adam, Danny Dias, Jeremy, and Tyrie. Don't get me wrong he is one of the best competitors in challenge history but I wouldn't consider him top 10 all time
Now I don't want to sound sexist, but maybe it wasn't Alton who lost the elimination, mabye it was more Nani, than him. Or maybe Alton voluntered himself or something.

Dear, Lord, it's that time again isn't it.....
I'm actually happy at the prospect of Sarah possibly making it to the finals. Not my favorite player, but she deserves to get as close as possible after being screwed over and over. I wouldn't be upset if her & Chet or all of Brooklyn won, but I may be alone in that notion...
