I too think that Trey got his girl pregnant. Either that or she has some sort of Disease.
And Brandon...Eh I think that he needs to try to get sober when the show is done.
Laura needs to let Trey go. He doesn't seem to care about her at all...especially after that little conversation he had with his girl back home. His mind is elsewhere so she needs to back off because she's basically the other woman at this point.
Why is everyone hating on Brandon K? Is it because of his location? Seems kinda shady/shallow.
And I could care less about Trey's storyline. He just gets underneath my skin.
I loved the next episode preview with Swift tripping off of Marie. He looked like a straight up maniac. I wonder if it is/was even that serious.

Those are just the sprinkles on a ****** sundae. The guy fabricated a story of hardships to get on the show. Sad, that that is all it takes to get on the show nowadays. The real focus of "hatred" is his constant pleas for pity parties. His uncanny ability to reel in sympathy points like Royer reels in chicks with low self esteem is deplorable in itself. People, you're not doing him (or anyone else similar to him) any favors by saying "Poor baby, I feel for you." Those don't help you get out of slumps, whether he's faking it or not. All it does is fuel his cries for attention. What he needs is motiviation to better his life. He simply doesn't care enough to do so (as evidenced by his joining TRW during his "journey to sobriety". Give me a break). As hard as I try, there is nothing unique, interesting, or genuine about him that I can scrounge up. All I see when I watch this show is someone who BS'd their background to get on the show and is now soaking up as much airtime as he can with the "woe is me" garbage. It's as transparent as Saran Wrap.

He still is overreacting. Its a girl not World War 3. Marie couldn't have did anything that bad but I'll guess we'll see 8/8.
Cystic how do we know Brandon lied like that. Was it ever brought up other than here or confirmed? If so its like David Leech/Erika all over again. In short if its true he's not the only one.
Your ending cracked me up.
I could see where Swift is coming from. If someone keeps digging at you over an extended period of time and if eveytime you get upset people come at you like you got a problem, that could be very frustrating. From what he is saying, she can say whatever hurtful thing and if he tries to retaliate, they get on him. She's a woman but it doesn't give her a free pass to dig into any guy whenever she pleases.
We have to see how it all unfolds or what led up to it but I can understand the frustration.
Trey reminds me so much of Danny from the Austin season. He claims to "like" Laura/Melinda but all he can do is get jealous and basically treat her like crap. Can't stand him and his little temper tantrums.
Laura seems beyond fake and phony to me, always trying to play up the "wide eyed, innocent" persona she seems to want to portray so badly.
Brandon to me is just a whiner. He feeds off other people's pity and loves to go on and on about how tough he's had it just to get sympathy. People like him are draining in real life and simply irritating on the tv.
Now on to the (semi) good stuff......I do like Toya and Swift or Swifty (Not sure which he goes by for sure) but neither seem to have enough interesting storylines or footage. I feel like other than the thing with him walking on the sea urchins we've barely seen either of them minus funny little clips and confessionals.
Marie and Robb are hilarious and great cast additions. I'm not saying they are two of my favorite cast members of all time or anything like that but out of this group I feel they were the best casting choices. Just all around interesting people with unique voices. Enjoy watching them and find them interesting and mostly entertaining.
Overall this season has grown on me A LITTLE since the god awful premiere but overall I think it's one of the weaker seasons of Real World. I do adore the location though and wish they had come together with somewhat of a better cast for such an amazing locale.
I feel like I really enjoyed this episode. I love Marie and how stright up girl she is. I'm cool with Robb and La Toya too. Kinda sucks they don't give Swift some screen, he looks nice guy. Trey and Laura are just annoying.

It's been brought up by variety a of news organizations, not just here. I guess it can be confirmed that he has been to Southie. He's definitely not from Southie (and admits that himself) nor did he ever live in Southie beyond "kickit there in summers with cuzins."

Whatever he would be - stealer or liar, I don't understand why he went to the Real World. It's just sad to watch how depressed he is. I feel sorry for that guy and hope he is ok.
Thanks for that Bacchus though from my own personal experience I don't see why anybody cares or label him "a fake" or "phony". Many people either lie about their location or don't really claim where they are from. It's just a matter of preference. Not saying he's an Erika.
After watching RW Las Vegas, I thought Nany looked like a fool. Then Ashley came along and I thought "wow another needy broad". And now Laura... Ashley actually looks good in comparison to Laura because Zach wasn't playing her.
What I don't understand is that it's always the most attractive girl of each season (well, debatably with Nany; but Laura and Ashley are gorgeous) who looks needy, I don't understand how these girls have so little self confidence.
Anyway, there's no one in the cast that I really hate, although Laura's coming close especially when she's talking in her baby voice. Marie, Robb and Toya are really entertaining, they provide some sort of comic relief, in contrast to Brandon, Trey and Laura who are so dramatic.
Yea I also heard a lot of the 'Brandon is lying about his background stuff' from various places. We finally finished our funny response to this episode, check it out please.

MTV and BMP chooses the location to put in their Bio and 9/10 they put what major city is near if it's all the same area.
I want to like Marie but something about her turns me off. I cannot stand Trey and I'm not excited for his or Marie's
Challenge Appearance
Which is common and what most people do when travelling because most people haven't heard of the smaller towns/cities so it means nothing, not that Quincy is that small, but it is about 5 minutes from Southie. I was debating adding my 2 cents and decided, the only people who would care about this are the hardos from Southie thinking Bill Bulger (used on purpose, Whitey is the gangster people know, Billy was the political muscle that actually held sway) is still running the streets (or the kids trying to be those hardos) or the haters. Most of Southie is now filled with young professionals at this point so it pushes the hardos buttons even further trying to rep it like it means something. I will flip that and say that anyone Brandons age using "growing up in Southie" as code for some sort of hard knock life are usually wannabies but harmless. Ironic part is, having lived in most areas in and around Boston (including Southie), I'd be more likely to hang out in Southie late night than Quincy, outside of the Bay, that place isn't a nice place to be. But the whole debate makes me sick every time I hear it, just a bunch of wannabies about some turf trying to look tough and acting like Southie is like South LA. Not even sure why out of towners are picking it up, it's kind of lame local BS.

Southie was one of the safest places I had the pleasure of living in Boston. I was much more nervous walking the streets of the South End (on the other side of Washington) when I lived there - late night.
As you stated (and I hit upon here) Southie is not the place it was 30 years ago, just like Charlestown is not like it was depicted in The Town.
Trey (Real World, Kang), 50 points: Something finally happened on the Real World this week. The only tough part is ... it isn’t something I’m comfortable making hacky jokes about. The bro-est of bros on the show, Trey, is sleeping with his roommate Laura yet still maintaining a relationship with his “girl back home,” Chelsea. He seemed content with this scenario because, as he puts it, “I really like to have a female touch, and basically have a woman cater to me. It's just what I'm used to, and it makes me feel comfortable.” Um, I will spare you the 3,000-word Freudian breakdown I had planned for that statement and get to the good stuff, his phone conversation with “girl back home” Chelsea. Keep in mind, he has been sleeping with his roommate ever since he moved in the house:
Trey: “What’s wrong? Did you hook up with somebody?”
Chelsea: “No.”
Trey: “You’re seeing somebody, just admit it.”
Chelsea: “No, I'm really not. I swear to God.”
Trey: “So, what is so wrong then?”
Chelsea: “Nothing.”
Trey: “Are we done? We’re done then. So what is the deal?"
Chelsea: “No no no. Absolutely not. Like, not even close.”
Trey: “Is it what I think it is?”
Chelsea: “YES.”
Trey: “Are you sure?”
Chelsea: “YEP.”
Trey: “How long have you known?”
Chelsea: “TWO DAYS.”
Trey: “All right, I am such at a loss for words, I don’t even know what to say. We can't wait three months either ... so what ... what’s your um ...”
Chelsea: “Trey, stop. Please.”
Damn, dude! You have a full-on pregnancy/STD/advanced-notice-of-the-zombie-apocalypse secrecy type of thing on your hands. Since I can’t be 100 percent sure which it is, I am going to go ahead and give you the pregnancy points (50 points). It’s a safe bet.
