Glass House- ABC

Although I am liking the show so far, I have one major issue with it. The viewers control who stays in the house. They make this decision based on what they see on the episodes. The episodes are edited by the producers. So in essence, the viewers aren't necessarily in control. The producers can manipulate each person's character to gain favor for one side as opposed to the other. This became very apparent after the first episode and as the season progresses, it bothers me even more.
LOL you cannot compare sexuality to religion. Let's be real here. And besides, Jeffrey hasn't bullied Andrea into believing anything. Making a point of how discriminatory she is towards an entire group of people is not bullying.
I would argue that it is Jeffrey's behavior which is bully-like. He seeks, though his presence, voice and mannerisms, to impose the correctness of his position on another person. That's just wrong to me. It is not just toward Andrea where this is obvious, it is equally true in his effort among the remaining cast to impose an absurd view, in the context of a game, that failing to support him in voting her into limbo would represent that cast member's support for her personal anti-gay marriage view. In my view, in a closed environment where CBS is fully responsible for the safety and welfare of its employees, whether permanent or contract, there is the potential where Andrea or outsiders acting on her behalf, could charge CBS with a violation of law under California Title X. During Big Brother 5, the Stanford Women's Student Bar Association prepared such a complaint against CBS and CBS warned several male cast members (the "horseman") via the diary room that they would be removed if their inappropriate actions didn't stop.
Fun Fact: Ty from The Real World DC/ Challenges knows Joy.
IMO the nerd herd is definitely Joy, Jeffrey. Stephanie, Erica and Gene. Although I like Gene and LOVE Erica. Jeffrey ****** me off so much. He doesn't realize how hypocritical he is being by not tolerating Andrea's Mormon views yet bullying her to agree with his views. She was born into a Mormon family just as he was born gay. Therefore, there should be an equal level of tolerance. She made no personal attacks against him yet he voted her out for her beliefs. In my opinion he is coming across as pathetic.
I couldn't have said it any better. What annoys me the most is that he paints her to be a bully and an evil person, when she was raised on these beliefs. She still accepts him for his differences and still makes an effort to get to know him as a person. Also, while I do think Jeffrey is smart, voting Andrea into Limbo strictly because he disagrees with her beliefs was ridiculous and horrible gameplay. He needs to learn to play with his brain and not his emotions.
How this shows going Stephanie is going to win just because she told her sad story and America feels sympathy and wants her to win. I mean you've barely seen much of her other than that lol.

I have no clue who's going to win because it will depend on the edit from here on out. I'm just hoping Jeffrey is gone soon.
I barely paid much attention last night as I was watching.
LOL you cannot compare sexuality to religion. Let's be real here. And besides, Jeffrey hasn't bullied Andrea into believing anything. Making a point of how discriminatory she is towards an entire group of people is not bullying.
Why can't you? You cannot tell me that I can't do something and not give me an explanation. Let's be real here. Also, trying to get everyone to turn on her and calling her an idiot isn't bullying? Once again, let's be real here.

He is the one who is intolerant of her differences.

Your religion is something you choose to believe in. And that's real.

You either believe in it or you don't (which is why religious arguments are the most pointless things ever).

A baby is born into the world with no religious beliefs. Those beliefs are molded and indoctrinated by that child's parents. That is why it cannot be compared to a person's sexuality.

I was just pointing out the flaw with torch's point about being able to choose a religion when it is indoctrinated in a child's formative years and becomes a belief.

Technically, she would be choosing Judaism over Catholicism. That is not the case with the Mormon woman on this show (whatever her name is) whatsoever, but someone could potentially choose their religion...if you want to get down to technicalities. Anyway, back to the show...I think it sucks that Ashley is always at the bottom. I'm not quite sure why, as she seems very likable, but it seems like she's also never on television compared to people like Kevin, Mike, Erica, Jeffrey, Gene, etc. Her story was touching during the last episode. This show is flawed. I think it would be a lot different if America voted on unedited, raw conversations versus what they see in a 42-minute television edit.
What about a girl who is raised Catholic, meets a Jewish guy, and decides to convert? Technically, she would be choosing Judaism over Catholicism.
Well technically, she would be choosing the religion to worship, but I would think that the beliefs aren't there.
This show is flawed. I think it would be a lot different if America voted on unedited, raw conversations versus what they see in a 42-minute television edit.
That is the entire problem with the show. People vote on who they want to come back, but are only shown what production chooses for them to see.
That is the entire problem with the show. People vote on who they want to come back, but are only shown what production chooses for them to see.
Maybe that's why they don't like Ashley. She's never shown, so America doesn't know anything about her.
That is the entire problem with the show. People vote on who they want to come back, but are only shown what production chooses for them to see.
Shouldn't you know by now that people suck and are stupid? :mosking:
That's entirely the reason why Ashley is always at the bottom. She seems great, but she's never ever shown unless it's of her crying about always being in the bottom two. It sucks, because from what they've shown of her she seems to be a really likeable person and I feel so bad for her.
I didn't think an explanation was necessary, but here goes: your sexuality is something you are born with, not something you choose. Your religion is something you choose to believe in. And that's real.
Like I said She was BORN into a mormon family. Typically when you are born into a family that's beliefs are a certain way you inherit those beliefs she can't control what she believes in any more than he can control his sexual preferences.
I didn't think an explanation was necessary, but here goes: your sexuality is something you are born with, not something you choose. Your religion is something you choose to believe in. And that's real.
I regard your view as a tad myopic.
People are born religious, the ability to believe in something you have no proof of is genetic. I'll end my thoughts here before I offend anyone.
There will be drama on tonight episode. Alex comes back and Holly & Joy get into an argument
There will be drama on tonight episode. Alex comes back and Holly & Joy get into an argument
Is anyone still watching this?
I feel like now that BGC started, no. I still do though cause i dont really watch BGC...
I think it's pretty certain just based on twitter followers that Erica is gonna win. She has 41k followers, and the other 4 have like 10k followers give or take some. Mike ~5k Jeffrey ~9k Kevin ~11k Andrea ~12k Erica ~42k

Welp, guess it's not that certain then!
Erica had less followers than Andrea for awhile until a very extreme and sudden jump. She has been tweeting to her fellow comedians, so I'm wondering if a few maybe gave her like a shout out or something that led to such a drastic increase?
I'm over this show, TBH. The concept wasn't so bad, it was this cast that just didn't work with me, I found most of them boring and not memorable.
