I think the Team Austin cast interview reveals a lot about how Wes felt about this challenge.
JMO--Wes just says those things in case he doesn't win Danny said "you know" about thousand times
Trishelle hasn't aged well.
Really? I think she looks great! She's only 32 and I think she looks more like 28, tbh.
If you go back and watch the Wes vs Easy elimination it is so hilarious durng the first heat. They show Wes standing down that long hall and he looks so alone and vulnerable. There is this light shining and they play this little, I don't know, like angelic sounding tone for a second and when you know how he is about to go down it's just so funny. Like a dear caught in headlights.
Did anyone understand why Cara Maria didn't want to go into the Arena if Danny was in there and why she was so hellbent on going in only if Eric was facing Wes. I didn't understand the logic because its not like it would have made a difference who it was between Wes and Danny if it is a physical elimination round, did she really think she would have to go against a guy?

Not sure why she was scared of Danny...though nothing Cara Maria says makes any sense IMO

Since I wasn't aware a new season was coming out, I didn't read any of the spoiler threads before this and I guess I'm a little disappointed that this season includes more of the latest RW casts than the older seasons. I haven't watched a RW season since Cancun (I think), and even then, my viewing of that show was pretty sporadic. Not that it's anyone else's fault, I just haven't cared about RW in a long time. I still love old cast members for nostalgia reasons, which is why I love watching these challenges. I guess it's just time to past the torch along :( The worst part is that I was so desperate to see old faces that I was even rooting for Wes last night. Sigh, and Austin RW cast is probably on the bottom of my favorite RW casts too. As for Big Easy, I like the fella and you won't find me in the E-is-a-fat-guy-so-he-shouldn't-participate-camp. I just think his skills are severely limited and that he's not proven himself to be athletic enough to consistently win in these challenges. While I don't agree with the way Wes expressed his frustration last night, I do agree with his sentiment. I think Wes is more likely to succeed in more missions than Eric is, so it seemed unfair and wasteful to see him booted so early. Then again, these challenges aren't really designed to be fair anyway. I don't think I'll ever understand Wes' attitude in these games. He seems like a decently smart guy and a lot of the **** he spouts seems like it's for show anyway, so you'd think he'd try to dial it back a little. I can't imagine him really acting like that in real life all the time, does he? Still lamenting the lack of older cast members. I don't know if I'll watch this challenge all the way through.
I'm shocked that Lacey became my favorite cast member in this one episode, but I loved her! I really hope they ask her to come back.
I love the Challenges, and this premiere got me so pumped up for the season! Haven't touched the spoilers, don't want to ruin any surprises :) First challenge was cool, got to see some potential and such. Awesome to see Lacey do work, I think most people expected her to fall D: Wes vs. Eric made the season already. Elimination rounds are one of the best parts of the show, and that was great: having Big Easy shut Wes the **** up. Reminds me of CT giving a dose of reality to Bananas. I also really like the Arena concept: having to play each game type once. I saw CJ's surprised look thinking "What? You mean we can't just use physical? That sucks!" What I think bout the teams: Austin: Wes and Lacey are gone, but was hoping to see more of Lacey. I like seeing more rookies. Danny and Mel should be interesting to see LV: Favorite team. All around goodness. Alton is a beast, Dustin is awesome, Tris****e looks like she's gonna make a statement, and Nany might do solid. Cancun: Second favorite. CJ is the crux of the team. Jasmine and Jonna are solid. Derek, haven't seen much, but I think he's gonna do great. Jonna is a typical loose goose, but gameplay wise, it could help. SD: Frank needs to get slapped. Someone needs to take him on in a physical elimination round and let's see how he handles actually fighting someone for once. Zach should beast a lot of guys. I wish it was Zach vs. Wes in Hall Brawl, but oh well. Ashley and Jonna are probably gonna get into a cat fight, and Sam is solid. Brooklyn: I think Chet and Sarah need a reality check. JD looks muscular than Chet, and Sarah isn't exactly a fitness queen. I actually think Devyn looks in better shape than Sarah. But, Devyn had a hard time climbing that ladder, which retracts that last sentence. Hopefully she'll prove haters wrong. I personally loved her comment when TJ announced the grand prize "Do you know how many lip glosses and shoes that can buy you?". The other two confessionals were more serious and shifts to her :P New Orleans: Knight and Jemmye are probably gonna hook up, fight, and hook up again. Knight wants to get it in, but he has to compete with all the black guys. Preston might be a hindrance, and McKenzie seems solid Fresh Meat: Easy is underrated. I wanna see Brandon do well. Hopefully Cara + Camila don't talk a lot, cause those two are annoying. St. Thomas: I wish they did this challenge AFTER the reunion. That would make for much better TV. But oh well. All 4 look solid. I wanna see Marie get physical with some of the girls like Jonna and Camila in a physical Arena.
The lashes werejust so sad and awful! I am a lash lover but if my only choices were to have those things that were wearing Jonna OR natural... natural would win out in a heartbeat! If jasmine is such a good friend she needs to rip those things off of Jonna's otherwise BEAUTIFUL face! Also... I agree on more Lacey time- would have been nice! I forgot how spunky and cute she is! I hope to see more of her in teh future! The only thing that I want to add is that people can say what they want about Big Easy... but he has come back each time better than the time before... healthier than the time before! Real weight loss takes time... and his progress shouldnt be minimalized. He isnt my favorite person... BUT I do give credit where credit is due... keep it up E! All in all it was an entertaining first show... looking forward to the season!!
He was better than what? He still couldn't get his humongous *** up a rope ladder. He used his flab to push a smaller guy a few feet, what an athlete!
Lacey is hilariously amazing. I want to see her on another one of these.
As for Big Easy, I like the fella and you won't find me in the E-is-a-fat-guy-so-he-shouldn't-participate-camp. I don't know if I'll watch this challenge all the way through.
I agree, I don't think he should have said it the way he did but he's right (besides for the he doesn't deserve to be here part), Eric doesn't have a shot in 9/10 of the elimination rounds and only Zach could have beaten him in this one, he got even worse on another interview saying Eric can't win these and once again true but mean, but yea c'mon Eric can't last in a final. All the guys on G3 did not want to go in with Eric and CT told Vinny w/e you do do not go in against Eric. And I wouldn't compare this to Johnny backpack, Johnny couldn't do anything, Wes vs Eric was close the 2nd round, if only Wes was smart enough to try that strategy the 1st round. It was pretty brutal though, especially the 2nd round, he rammed into him as Wes was diving to the ground, and when Wes was explaining his strategy of lying down and making Eric run on top of him I was thinking are you nuts! You want to break your ribs or something? But it wasnt too bad, he didnt look hurt. I felt bad for him (lol I'm probably the only one) he is definitely more athletic than Eric in challenges and surprisingly his team didn't suck as much as I thought they would, I thought Lacey would pull a Preston lol. The elimination wasn't fair and to make things better now no one will have to do that elimination with Eric next time, so hopefully FM team doesn't suck next week. So ya that elimination was like Laurel/Cara vs Jonna/Jasmine, unfair but overall I prefer it this way instead of some stupid puzzle.

She probably liked Big Easy's chances against Wes and felt confident they'd return to the house, but was worried he might lose to Danny and result in her having to go home.
Personally Cancun was one of my favorite seasons but they seem to be different now.. almost cocky. Not really loving them at the moment. Wish I could love Las Vegas but I only saw Dustin and Nany's season so I'm only rooting for them.
Really? I think she looks great! She's only 32 and I think she looks more like 28, tbh.
Yeah, I agree, she looks very good.
The lashes werejust so sad and awful!
Exactly, Jonna's very pretty naturally. I think the ones she had were just poorly applied, when she sees herself on TV, she'll probably realize how weird they made her look. Yes, Big Easy does make an effort to come back healthier, and he's been successful everytime, I don't want to take that away from him. I know weight loss is a very hard thing to do. And in the real world (wink) or on "the biggest loser", it'd go a long way. But this is the Challenge, and the truth of the matter is he just can't measure up, and it's frustrating to see one guy mess it up for everyone. So I still think he sucks lol. Edit: and to make matters worse, Camilla is one of my favorites, and when she tried to help, he was rude to her (could be due to editing, but I don't know)
I don't think Jonna's ugly by any means, but she always looks like she smells to me... I'm not really interested in the Jonna/Zach hookup but it seems like it'll probably be a major plot point so I'll deal.
Awesome episode, awesome challenge, awesome elimination round, awesome drama, this Challenge is going to be simply AWESOME lol.
For me an Underwhelming Premiere Zach and Frank are insufferable together. I actually like Ashley this time around. Cancun acting like big bad veterans is just sad especially Derek I'm still unclear why CJ is so bitter? Austin should have been decasted along with Sydney it is so unfair for them. Brooklyn seem like underdogs and I think Devyn will surprise folks NOLA great to have them and I'm guessing Preston is doing this for Jemmye and McKenzie.. I just hope every time he does something rights people don't make a huge deal about it. St.Thomas just annoy me when ever I see them I just roll my eyes Las Vegas I'm only going to say two words Alton and Nany. Fresh Meat: This is the worst put together teams in Challenge history besides Brandon. Big Easy brings nothing or invokes nothing for me as a TV persona. Camila and Cara Maria are all right but overall I rather have seen other FM girls in the mix. The Drama wasn't that great but to each their own.
Fresh Meat: This is the worst put together teams in Challenge history besides Brandon. Big Easy brings nothing or invokes nothing for me as a TV persona. Camila and Cara Maria are all right but overall I rather have seen other FM girls in the mix.
Agree with this soooooooo much. This is so *** backwards its ridiculous. Neither Camila nor CM have taken a break since their debuts. That's annoying, not to mention Camila isn't even from Fresh Meat, and I actually like Camila. Laurel shouldve had CMs spot. The only challenges Eric should be invited to are solo Duel-type challenges simple as that. Brandon is a poor man's Leroy. I actually really like the guy. The pool of Fresh Meat options is soooooo large, even with Kenny/Evan excluded. They literally chose the worst male FMer next to Ryan and Jeff. If they pulled a Lacey and got say Jesse, Chanda, Aviv, Carley, Noor, Pete, etc. That would have been awesome, granted they aren't well known, that was kinda the theme of this challenge. Instead they're like "Needs moar Cara Maria and Eric." And bring Luke back, I like Luke.
It is just...dumb to shackle a team with Eric in this format. At least with a big team challenge some of the slack will be picked up by the other guys on the team and the eliminations would be one-on-one.
Lots of points being handed out this week, but first, the explanation:
Under Armour shirt with names across the chest? Check. T.J. Lavin's quiet confidence? Check. Drunken rage monsters attempting to assault and/or coitus every living being in their path? Check. The Challenge is back, and the debut episode was pretty **** promising. There were a couple good falls, several delusional sound bites, and a Frank freakout worthy of the top spot on the GRTFL leaderboard. But before we get to that, we have some housekeeping to do. We added two new shows to the docket, which means two sets of show-specific rules and a mega-draft: The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons Show-Specific Rules: Making T.J. say, "You killed it": 25 points Making T.J. verbally express his disappointment in your behavior: 35 points Making T.J. dramatically break character: 20 points Cross-dressing: 10 points Winning elimination challenge: 10 points Winning final challenge: 50 points Leaving show due to injury: -50 points Announcing you are "in control of the game" (or something close to it): 5 points Slandering someone's ***ual performance: 25 points Cannibalism: 100 points Causing the arrival of a vehicle with a siren: 20 points Assault of an inanimate object: 10 points Cold sore possession: 15 points Making a "Turkey" pun: 50 points Being the target of PED accusations: 25 points Hooking up with your ex-spouse: -10 Frank (Battle of the Seasons, Simmons), 45 points: Frank's ragey, alcopsychoholic, erratic, ***ual, violent episode on the debut of Battle of the Seasons can be easily explained by comparing his evening to Edgar Allen Poe's evening on October 3 in 1849. Yes, you read that right. Let's go to the facts: Who: Edgar Allen Poe When: October 3, 1849 Where: Lombard Street, Baltimore What: Well, no one really knows what the **** happened that evening, but by all accounts Mr. Poe had been drinking in a bar on Lombard Street and was later found wearing clothes that did not fit him and talking all crazy-like. Weird, right? He was then brought to the hospital. At the hospital, he got Patrick Ewing-sweaty, hallucinated, and started talking to companions that didn't exist. A couple days later he died. Sad face. Who: Frank the Alcopsychoholic From Real World San Diego 2 When: This Wednesday (on my TV) Where: Bodrum, Turkey What: Anyone who watched his season of Real World knows that Frank has a history of getting slammered (20 points), getting ragey, and getting in vicious arguments with everyone around him (10 points). His first night in Turkey was no different. It all started semi-innocently with a couple shots, some celebration, and eventually coercing his previously homophobic teammate Zach into a little man-kissing (5 points). He was having a good ol' time. Then it happened. We all have that one friend who has one too many and switches from the life of the party to the death of it in a millisecond. That is Frank. After announcing "I am hammered!" he started running around the house insulting everyone that made eye contact with him. It was glorious. First, he turned his hate laser on Wes, but Wes is such a Challenge vet, he just reacted with amused apathy. When Frank pivoted to Danny, Danny wasn't really having it and screamed at him. This led to slammered Frank getting all "Come at me, bro!" (10 points) and Zach scooping him up and pinning him to the ground in an attempt to get him to chill the **** out. Frank was shocked by this move from Zach, pleading, "Zach, I haven't fought a single person" after trying to, ya know, fight everyone. When Zach finally allowed Frank to maneuver under his own power he made an adorable/pathetic attempt to walk out of the room only to crumble into an unconscious ball of alcohol poisoning on the bedroom floor, thus ending his evening. The Connection: Now, for about a century everyone believed Poe simply drank himself to death -- but eventually other theories arose. A study done by Dr. R. Michael Benitez in 1996 theorized that the erratic behavior, hallucinations, and general weirdness that Poe exhibited was actually the result of rabies, not booze. Now take into account the fact that Frank displayed similar symptoms and one can only come to the conclusion that Frank on Battle of the Seasons is infected with rabies and may eat the entire cast this year. I fear for T.J. Big Easy and Cara Maria (Battle of The Seasons, Kang), 35 points: When Bill and I kicked it with T.J., he revealed that he only drops the "You killed it" on the show because he heard the B.S. Report when we talked about it and he knows how much we enjoy it. I can't lie: Now every time he does it I feel accomplished, like I have made the world a better place, like life has meaning, like I was actually put on this planet to watch The Challenge and make hacky jokes about it. When he dropped the "You killed it" on two of my top-10 favorite challengers this episode, Big Easy and Cara Maria (25 points), after they won the elimination challenge (10 points), I **** near cried. Thank you, T.J. It is you who has killed it. Team Cancun and Vegas (Jonna, CJ, Jasmine, Derek, Alton, Tris****e, Dustin, Nany) (Battle of the Seasons, various GRTFL teams), 25 points: Remember how I said every time T.J. drops a "killed it" I get all happy and stuff? Kinda lied. Sometimes I say to myself, "**** you, T.J.! Now I have to write a paragraph about this bull****." Jonna (Battle of the Seasons, Simmons), 10 points: OK, I am about to open up my reality TV shame drawer and show you what's inside. I may or may not have obsessively watched TruTV's Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock, in which Jonna commuted to Vegas from Arizona every weekend to serve Jager shots to hairgelled, tattooed bros in her bikini. It was pretty clear that she wasn't there for the tips, she was there for the cameras. Seeing that Battle of the Seasons may very well be her last stand on the triple-digit part of your TV dial, she made a splash in the first episode by making out with Zach (5 points) and then having this teary (5 points) back-and-forth with her boyfriend back home: Jonna: "I can't do this. Like, me and you." Boyfriend Back Home: "So that is just it then ... " Jonna: "Yeah, I just need my freedom." I've said it before and will say it again: If your significant other ever says to you, "Honey I am leaving for a couple months to film this reality TV show," what they are really saying is, "I am going to have *** with other people on camera, break up with you, and then ask for you back when I return, cool?" Keep that in mind next time your girlfriend goes to a Bunim/Murray open call. Zach (Battle of the Seasons, Lisanti), 10 points: This is going to be a tough one to write up and not get fired or killed. So let me just stick to the facts. Zach kissed Frank (5 points) and then Zach kissed Jonna (5 points). I'll leave it at that because Zach is built like a water tower and could pummel me into a shapeless mass of human cells with one hand while simultaneously putting his ponytail up in a scrunchie. Danny (Battle of the Seasons, Connor), 10 points: While Frank was having his Edgar Allen Poe moment, Danny did the whole "Come at me, bro" thing (10 points). His aggression toward the slammered Frank brought up a moral question that I would like to explore here in the GRTFL: Is it OK to beat the **** out of a dude being aggro toward you that is so drunk he can't defend himself? I think that's a lose-lose scenario. If you beat him up, you worry that he is seriously injured and/or has a lawyer parent. If you don't, there you are getting disrespected by a drunkard and not doing anything about it in front of your friends. It is quandaries like this where the Buddy Who Holds You Back comes in real handy. Buddy Who Holds You Back is the best.
via
These are my favorite ways to get points:
Making T.J. verbally express his disappointment in your behavior: 35 points Making T.J. dramatically break character: 20 points Cannibalism: 100 points Making a “Turkey” pun: 50 points
It seems like the fastest way to get points is to Make a Turkey pun and begin to eat TJ's face. I assume once that happens he will dramatically break character and express his disappointment in you.
I'm glad that they didn't put any strong people on the Fresh Meat team...I really didn't want them dominating and they really shouldn't have been there in the first place. I mean they couldn't put together a Road Rules Team? Or get another Real World Team? Preferably a recent season that hasn't been represented a whole lot on these things like maybe Hollywood?

IF they actually tried to get Hollywood and people they tried to get declined then that's one thing I'm not gonna fault BMP for that. But if they didn't even TRY to put together a Hollywood(or any other RW team even) Then that's what I have a problem with...But It was probably easier to put together a Fresh Meat team anyways so whatever. Acutally you know what...Couldn't they have just left it at 7 Teams? I mean I would've been fitting. Since RW has 7 people living together they could've had 7 Teams Fighting it out For some Cash. It would've reflected The Real World perfectly...The Show where all these people came From.

Doubt they'd ever enforce it though since disinterested wouldn't be good tv and they could just quit day 1. I'm guessing MTV had to pick people who were already psych test approved. Presumably that means Eric must have been an alternate for a psych tested season. NOLA2 and Brooklyn had 8 people, not 7. BMP would also not go down to 7 teams and lose an episode/$.
I enjoyed the premiere overall, I was sort of impressed with San Diego, they showed a different side of the **** we saw, if they had only been like that during their season. I still dislike Frank, he is a lost cause.
OK, I need some more information on this Sydney situation. I've avoided spoilers like the plague. There was actually a Sydney team in Turkey, who then left before the first challenge for unknown reasons? Or they didn't even make it to Turkey? I need some deets. I don't know why so many people are calling Ashley the weak link on San Diego and praising Sam. Ashley worked out ALL the time during their season and Sam seems pretty unathletic to me. If anyone is the weak link, at least physically, it's her. Mentally it's obviously Frank. At least he has a humongous babysitter that can just scoop him up and completely overpower him whenever he tries to act like a psycho. Someone please tell me that either Zach and Jonna were talking already before this season starts, or what we were watching wasn't really their first night in Turkey. When she said "I feel like you and me are the glue that holds everything together", I wanted to reach through the TV and slap her across the mouth (or should I say kick her in the **** instead?). That is some ridiculous **** to say to someone you have zero history with. ***?
