She might have permission because at first she said she couldn't talk about it till she had word from the big men upstairs or something. I am sure if she was going to get in trouble she would have already. They are probably willing to take any promotion or hype they can get for the show.
I agree I think I won't like Jessica and Nia either
Anwser to your question: Yes
That's what I though, I remember Cooke didn't say she was a cast member for Real world Las Vegas until the episode that she show up.

Well, on her Facebook post she wrote that she wasn't waiting to MTV anymore. That makes me assume that they haven't give her permission to say anything.

I was just coming here to say the same exact thing lol
I think its just to hype it up.
Man I haven't read up much of this thread, but this Nia chick sounds like a stuck-up *****. Guarantee that if they were really only getting paid $3/hr, then they were also getting tips like ALL servers on the face of the planet and the cleaning of the bathroom or whatever else was part of her side work...if you've ever been a server before, you know you have to do sidework before you can go home, usually involves rolling silverware and then some menial task around the restaurant. Never heard of actually cleaning toilets being part of sidework, but it's usually cleaning something or straightening something up. Get some work ethic Nia!!
It's not a double standard. It's true through and through. Like I can't believe you would justify that. lmao. And if somebody white called a black woman the n word of course it's not a brotherly love hence Marlon getting involved. That's just pretty much a given. I mean it works in movies and music but not in everyday life.
And you can say *** because you are gay I wouldn't expect any more or less.Mainly because you probably use it amongst others. There's no arguing that part but Considering heterosexuals tend to use it derogatory like Derrick did to Danny on the Extreme premiere I can see why in that case they would get mad.
And she had no choice but to delete it. I love Nia but no. There's a non-disclosure clause for a reason.
Dude. You guys can argue about whether it's okay for people to use the n-word, but you can't argue about whether it's a double standard to say that black people can use the word but white people can't. That is the very definition of a double standard:
A double standard is the application of different sets of principles for similar situations, or to different people in the same situation.[1] A double standard may take the form of an instance in which certain concepts (often, for example, a word, phrase, social norm, or rule) are perceived as acceptable to be applied by one group of people, but are considered unacceptable—taboo—when applied by another group.
Exactly. 'm gay and black and I could care less who says "f*g" or the "n" word.
I think it'll bring up a good convo/argument on the show.
I doubt she had permission, she just sounds like one of those "Whatever I do what I want because I'm better than all of you" type of people.
I dont get that vibe at all.

Welcome to about a month ago. And no white people can not use it. Its just simple as that.
I doubt she had permission, she just sounds like one of those "Whatever I do what I want because I'm better than all of you" type of people.
I completely agree, if she seems as bad as she does on Twitter, she may be the only person to get me to turn off my tv. lol
Preston didn't got kicked out.
Snce it's a confession, I don't think the owner of the toothbrush knows that she used it to clean the toilet.
Well, maybe not the person whom the toothbrush belonged, but certainly the crew around the house, no?!
But yeah I do remember Preston, I guess, I just thought some stricter restrictions were made since then, considering the predicament BMP/MTV were in over the last 2 years...
I don't get people's beef with St.Thomas... I thought it was a fun season. A lot more comedy than drama, but I was okay with that. Marie and Latoya killed me.
In any case, this season does look like its gonna rock... I just hope they are holding back on more of the drama in the trailer. From what I've read on here, things get a lot worse than what they showed in the trailer. Hope that's true!!

I agree. St. Thomas is my ****
Did not know these two had a relationship while on the show...

This season sounds really good. Here's the press release
MTV’S “THE REAL WORLD” HEADS TO PORTLAND AS THE SERIES RETURNS WITH THE MOST EXPLOSIVE SEASON EVER ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27 AT 10:00 P.M. ET/PT
02.20.13
MTV is set to conquer Portland, Oregon, as “The Real World” returns Wednesday, March 27 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. After 28 seasons, The Real World still packs a punch as the twists and turns keep on coming in the most unpredictable season yet. Living in the trendy Pearl District, eight strangers, and house mutt Daisy, quickly immerse themselves in Portland culture, but more importantly, immerse themselves in each other’s lives. Whether it’s the insatiable beauty who falls fast for the Boston boy next door or the jumping-up-and-down-on-the-couch argument between an overconfident hothead and a naïve Southern Belle, these roommates can’t seem to get out of each other’s heads or beds. And when one roommate leaves early, the already volatile nature of the house gets cranked up to a feverpitch as the new roommate—quite possibly the most outrageous in Real World history—makes it her mission to bring down one of the guys by any means necessary—including psychological, sexual warfare. But this season, relationships evolve and turn on a dime, so you’ll have to tune in to keep track of the endless surprises as these roommates go from friends to enemies again and again.
In a city known for expressing individuality, “The Real World: Portland” house lives up to its surroundings as all the roommates bring their own unique perspectives and vibrant personalities. From a preacher’s son with a secret, to a master manipulator writing a book on how to score and keep professional athletes, to an awe-inspiring jock that doesn’t let his handicap define him, these roommates really come to learn how different they all are when trouble arises. And this season, trouble arises often.
Can’t get enough of “The Real World: Portland?” Coming soon, MTV.com will reveal exclusive Spycam videos from inside the house and “Meet the Cast” videos. Beginning, March 27th, fans will have access to full episodes and sneak peeks. Sound off on Twitter and Facbeook with the official ‘Real World’ hashtag #realworld and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/realworld.

Maybe she just couldn't make it.

The intention of that post was to clear up the rumors that Averey doesn't get along with the cast. Not to create rumors that the cast doesn't get along with Nia.

I was hoping they didn't actually.
PMSL at this picture. Johnny is a little too comfortable with Jordan's deformity.
