So far I love Johnny. I think that might change once all of the alleged racism comes out.
Ana seems extra
Joi seems extra
Jessica is annoying
Averey is cool, but a bit boring
Marlon is cool. He reminds me of Leroy with his chill attitude
I love Jordan. I can't wait to see more of his past and story come out Sneak Peek | Why Are You Here? | Video | MTV
I already know that I'm going to love Nia. She's raw, uncensored, and entertaining. THAT'S what people are like in the real real world.
I agree with pretty much everything you said here but I had no clue about the Johnny thing... is that a spoiler or has it been shown like in the trailers?

Nia is a mess, this is hilarious. Can't wait for next week.
I guess it can be considered a spoiler. Nia tweeted about it a long time ago and there are videos on youtube of Nia and Johnny fighting in the street where he says some "racist" comments to her.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to do spoiler tags with the new layout

Oh ok that's fine. I was just asking cause I didn't know if I missed a preview or trailer, I'm really curious to see how it all happened. Hopefully it's not true.
All he says in the video is something like "Take your black *** back to ATL" and she just keeps saying "BOOP!" If in fact he does have "racist" tendencies, hopefully he overcame them throughout the show. But yeah I hope it isn't true, just one of those heat of the moment type things.
Yeah I never liked Johnny nor Averey and you're right she's a liar just like when JD said his dad stole money and abused him. They just love throwing their family members under the bus to embarrass them. No shame whatsoever.
I so far I find this season pretty entertaining, my thoughts on this cast so far, I'll try and be brief as I'm at work tehe
Averey: Although smokin hot, I dislike this girl. She seems like a liar. "I don't have any family aside from Daisy". This was a major selling point for me on her, until episode 2 when she's talking to her grandma -___-. Then she's all "WOW Johnny you didnt try to sleep with me last night", he was sober, please don't be too impressed. Then she's all "I'm really guarded, ESPECIALLY with guys, they'll do ANYTHING to get in your pants", sleeps with Johnny -__-. I guess she just comes off as extremely fake to me. It's fine if your the partying hooters girl, go nuts, but don't lie about it and exaggerate your life please.
Jessica: A lot like Averey in I think she's a good looking girl, but I agree with Jordan that she looooooves drama. I'm sure she has at least one friend aside from her mom back home. No one that is as active as her with her sports bikes, etc. should be hard pressed to find friends. I know your mom didn't tape you for your home video. And like someone else said, why print several copies of your poem for your roommates if you normally are so reserved about sharing your poetry? Annoying, but I do like her accent a lot.
Bird: Also good looking, I'm indifferent on her so far. While I think her freaking out over the butt contest was odd/weird, it came off genuine to me. Same with her freaking out about the way the guys treated the grenades, I thought her rant in the confessional about her argument with Johnny came off corny and nerdy, but again sincere. As if even in real life she comes off non threatening when she's upset, so major points for her for that. My only real complaint is that a lot like how I feel with Nate/Zack (SD2), and Robb/Trey (STT) she seems almost redundant amongst the other girls except she has a BF.
Joi: My favorite of the girls, like her a crap ton, sucks I won't get to see much of her this season :(. Agreed with someone else that she might be too mature for the other roommates, or maybe the show in general. I want to see more of this girl, gotta hold out hope that she at least does a challenge.
Johnny: Thought this kid would bug me, but surprisingly he seems like the most down to earth so far. Big props to him for bagging Averey. Not much else to say. He seems like he's being himself.

Jordan: Possibly my favorite roommate so far, he says a lot of what I'm thinking so that's cool. Feel like he is legitimate in his behavior/actions and is only disliked because he really does not care, and he enjoys trolling people for fun. It seems like he realizes the roommates are easy targets and is going with it. Not sure why everyone is so pissed at him next week, seems like he's just partying and wasted.
Marlon: Thought I would dislike him too, 1st episode he was cool, then after the 2nd I'm on the fence. I sort of get his reasoning for the gay sex thing but it was still an awkward delivery on his part. Seemed like the kind of thing the producers were like "BE SURE TO DROP THIS BOMB BY EPISODE/WEEK/DAY 2 OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES"... Almost like he was contractually obligated to bring it up which I didn't like. Of everyone there I think he is the most conscious of the cameras and 'being on TV' so its hard to gauge who this dude is.

Nia: Do not like. I feel like she's a prime example of what's wrong with this age demo (which I fall into, not a chick tho). Beautiful girl who feels she deserves to get by on that and being loud and *****y without having any real commendable talent outside of taking selfies. Loves to claim being "real". It's odd too because had she not decided to attack Averey and Jordan too I think, I couldve seen myself really liking her. Instead she's all "I'm Hurricane Nia fear my wrath". Have a seat. And I can't help but feel like she's mispronouncing her own name. Being the "savior" for this season is exactly what I think she was hoping for, even though as it stands this season doesn't need saving in my opinion. Best since LV2 so far.
Why is everybody comparing Leroy and Marlon to each other. They are two entirely different people. And lol@the poster who said Karamo wasn't the gay stereotype/masculine.
I agree with pretty much everything you said here but I had no clue about the Johnny thing... is that a spoiler or has it been shown like in the trailers?
Nia said it and it was a spoiler
Why is everybody comparing Leroy and Marlon to each other. They are two entirely different people. And lol@the poster who said Karamo wasn't the gay stereotype/masculine.
Because we think they have similar ways.

I can't belie you just actually said that. You don't know what those people have been through.

I could care less, Navy. The fact of the matter is nobody wants to hear that fake *** **** (in Averey's case) or lies as in JD's.
You can't tell me that was odd that Averey said she wasn't with her family anymore yep a week later all of a sudden has a grandmother? Please.

In Averey defense:when people say family it really means their mom, dad, sister or brother, Averey probably isn't close with her mom and dad
Not even close.
That's why I said WE THINK, notice I didn't say anything about YOU.
And I've been through the casting process; if averey or JD were lying they wouldn't have been put on the show.

Maybe I'm wrong but the way I interpreted it was that she moved to Arizona to be with her boyfriend at the time, leaving her family in Michigan. She said something like "I have no family where I'm from (Arizona) so I have Daisy" so I don't think she was saying she didn't have any family, just that she lives on her own and is independent. You can be independent and not be totally cut off from your family.
On topic, they really seemed to make sure viewers wouldn't miss Joi. I don't remember anything about her from this episode except her and Ana in the confessional. She was either just boring to begin with (doubt this, the confessional thing was pretty funny), or they totally left her out just to give the people that are staying more screen time. It's odd because I feel like they've never been so selective and almost playing favorite when it comes to replacement roommates.

I never compared Leroy/Marlon. Leroy was awesome and I dnt think there will ever be anyone like him. The producers really did an excellent job choosing him.
And glad someone else noticed my point about Averey!
What's up with MTV always casting people that are "different" but make bad tv.
Sam was cast because she's a butch lesbian and did nothing good for the show.
Brandon was cast because he's a "fast scene" guy and did nothing good for the show.
Jordan was cast because he has a birth defect and will do nothing good for the show.
I mean with Dustin's gay **** past that worked because that's something he had DONE rather than who he is.
To be fair, Averey hasn't straight up said she has no family. She said she didn't from where was coming from (Arizona) as somebody else pointed out already. Plus, it explains more about it in her cast bio:
Averey, an exotic mix of Mexican, Native American and European heritage, is a Hooters girl and proud of it. Averey doesn't like it when people make a big fuss about her looks. She prefers to be appreciated for her other qualities and in fact, rarely wears makeup or jewelry. But don't let Averey's sunny and laid back demeanor fool you into thinking she's lived a charmed life. With a father who has never been in her life and a very strained relationship with her mother, Averey is bringing her dog Daisy, her only piece of home, to Portland with her. She is also extremely independent and has always worked for her own money. Averey's mentally unstable mother dragged her family through her own abusive relationships, and at the age of fifteen Averey moved out and lived with her friend's family. As soon as she could, she left her small town in Michigan, abandoned her college career, and moved to Arizona where she threw herself into an intense relationship that quickly turned ugly. Unlike her mother, Averey was strong enough to get out, but the whole ordeal left her reluctant to trust her heart to a guy. And yet, Averey will be the first to admit that she's extremely sexual and will try anything once. When it comes to sex, she's insatiable which both excites and scares her housemate Johnny. Sparks fly between the two, but will he ever be able to keep up with her wild ways and keep her satisfied? And speaking of satisfaction, will Averey be able to open up to Johnny and trust again after being hurt by guys so many times before?
I guess I don't understand what the big deal is that she was talking to her grandmother. Just because she isn't close with her parents doesn't mean she doesn't have ANYONE in her family she is close with. Plus, it's not like she's shoving her family issues down our throat. She literally talked about it once, maybe twice if you count her talking about not being able to afford college.
I have to laugh when I see that the smart people of vevmo are so willing to rank order and have firm opinions on cast members for whom they have only seen 84 minutes of highly edited footage. You really don't know them yet.
Do far the cast this season is cool. I totally forgot about the playboy model. Did they even show her this episode? Is she on the show part time? Something about Marlon's story didn't make sense. He initially said that he didn't do any gay stuff until he stopped football and music and became a nobody. Then when the girls questioned him, he said he first time was when he was a football player and the other guy was a cheerleader. So that was while he was still playing. Either way, he seems like a cool dude. It will be interesting to see these fights in the coming episodes. I know this is a spoiler but who does the black female replace?

I'm just simply ranking the character I see. You could watch a 100 episodes and you'd not be qualified to rank the person behind the character.

Are you kidding me? Dustin is not straight. Did you not see the videos?
And Brandon was alright until episode 2 when he freaked out over that ugly *** girl.
