10/10 favorite episode of the season would watch again.
Hurricane?... More like Waterspout Nia, they are seriously overhyping her arrival like a BGC promo.
Why are you focusing on her though? Because she's a girl who is sexual? Why do we still in this age punish women for being sexual? No one blinks when guys bring home randoms on these shows. At least Avery is with her one man! He's her boyfriend. And it is normal for a lot of couples when they are just falling in love and getting together to behave like bunny rabbits.
****. I'm sorry, I had too. Most women that are sexual keep real and to themselves, lol, not open to national television. She is going the route of Foxy Brown/Little Kim though.
lol. White and Cherokee. I can't wait to see their faces when they see this black girl with no southern accent walk in the door. I think Nia is so pretty.
She's gorg, more than I expected her to be. I wonder if that was all of her casting tape. I would have put her straight on the show, she's a mess!
I also want to point out that Johnny and Avery aren't the first couple to get trashy in a bathroom. Anyone remember our favorite dyfunctional couple Jemmye and Knight on Back to New Orleans? :smile-new:

I knew they were going to pull a cliff hanger for her arrival and I'm not expecting anything to pop off next week, otherwise that would be TOO MUCH. She hasn't even gotten to know them yet.

You can be sexual without coming across as whorish imo. Women are often shown in a bad light on RW and the like. No need to add to that negative image.
You can be sexual without coming across as whorish imo.
I don't recall seeing her sleep with more than one guy in this episode, unless I missed something?
She's gorg, more than I expected her to be. I wonder if that was all of her casting tape.
Do they HAVE to find jobs in order to stay in the house? Cause if they don't, then I really don't get why she would leave, especially since it's so early, and they only job hunted for what, a day?
Joi left because she wasnt feeling portland and she was unhappy not because of a job
I don't recall seeing her sleep with more than one guy in this episode, unless I missed something?
maybe unladylike is a better word.
I disagree
To each his own.

This season is boring so far
I loved this episode lol. It was a pretty good mix, reminded me of Brooklyn. On another note, The first two casting calls were announced for next season
Jordon talking about hitting Jessica and then screaming '************' at the top of his lungs had me on the floor laughing.
And LT and Kathryn
Kathryn was such a liar.
Something about this season seems more old school RW to me. Like, the people actually seem like real people, and they actually do activities around the city which is pretty cool. I do think part of it is though that they are in an actual city, as opposed to St. Thomas. Like, they are in an actual metropolitan area which feels like we haven't seen in awhile. San Diego was more of a beachy atmosphere, and Vegas they were for the most part just stuck in that Hotel/Casino. Jordan sucks, though. It can't be said enough. Also, Jessica too.
I actually wanna hit Johnny and Averey for having *** in the public bathroom. Don't. They. Know. How. Unsanitary. That. Is. LOL they made Joi look so checked out the whole time. Joi calls her dad and the first thing he answers with is "what?". Weird. I really like how comfortable Averey is with her ***uality. It's actually ridiculous how much Jessica annoys me. In addition to her acting like a brat, her voice and accent really grind my gears. This wasn't the best episode, but the part with Nia had me rolling, especially when she said she was white and cherokee.
I laughed so hard at the sneak peeks. Nia comes off as a Bad Girls Club reject who just wants attention all the time. But I really laughed at the one where Jordan annoys everyone at the club so they go to another one and turn around and there Jordan is again fist pumping like a Jersey Shore dude by the dj booth with his shirt wide open. Hilarious. I didn't know Jordan would be this entertaining.
I don't understand that logic. How can you be a Bad Girls Club reject if you're on the Real World? RW is step up from BGC. It's like saying an Ivy League student that he's a community college reject. Like... ? I agree about Jordan though.
Do they HAVE to find jobs in order to stay in the house? Cause if they don't, then I really don't get why she would leave, especially since it's so early, and they only job hunted for what, a day?
I think it's more like modeling go-sees than actual job hunting. They probably had 3-4 job interviews lined up and had to pick one. They didn't actually go look for jobs
Nothing wrong with holding women to a higher standard than guys. You can be ***ual without coming across as whorish imo. Women are often shown in a bad light on RW and the like. No need to add to that negative image.

maybe unladylike is a better word.
So enjoying *** is unladylike? Ugh. How is that not wrong? Why should guys get away with ******* girls left and right, but a girl who is in a monogamous relationship is a ***** just because she enjoys having *** with her boyfriend and talking about it? The issue isn't always how they're portrayed. The issue is when they're portrayed the same way as guys, but people like you judge them differently and look down on them for being human instead of hiding their feelings.

Traditionally speaking, BGC may occupy a lower rung on Dante's inferno scale than does RW, but in recent years, but I'm not sure that is really saying much about our culture. I suspect that what we are seeing from Nia is a "bad girl" character portrayal based upon the way she interacts with her close friends easily identified via twitter. Irrespective of who the real Nia may be; however, the clips of her behavior which BMP is using to market Nia as a cast member could as easily have come from a BGC trailer for BCG. Fans/viewers/media critics have taken notice of Nia in large part because what we are seeing is such a departure from the casting profile. I've come to the conclusion that her casting is a conscious decision by BMP/MTV to an efort to capture some of the Oxygen/BGC audience for MTV, since MTV has been hemoraging viewers at every turn. I do wish Mary Ellis Bunim were still with us. I don't think she would let her creation head toward such a negative place. JMO, of course.
How can a girl whos badder than most BGC girls, be a BGC reject?

This mya not be the true reason Joi left, but what she said was at home she makes more money than offered from these jobs and it's a "step down" for her. It's like she does realize that it's 15 hrs a week. At least that's what Johnny said he was working as far as hours. So 15 hours and living at a house and goign out everynight seems to be a nice vacation to me who works 40 hrs a week and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to be on. But she said several times how she didn't go to school for 4 yrs to work at places like these. She does realize it's not permanent and only while in Portland? I am not sure what job she expected to get if any in Portland, but to me very dumb decision. She had to have known if she has ever watched, that jobs are involved in being in the house. Her ego coudlnt handle working a "labor" job is my take. But that's just me. She wasn't going to get some high profile positino for 3 months while in the house than go home, that just wasn't happening. Lots of people with 4 yr degrees bartend until they find a full time position as well, or to figure out what's next and to pay the bills. She basically said it's below her and not going to happen. Unless that was her plan whole time is get her face on tv, than find a reason to leave.

However, Averey may be comfotable with her ***uality but she's about as loose as they come. She shames Jonna. Nia was awesome. I loved that line, too.
I don't think she would let her creation head toward such a negative place. JMO, of course.
I seriously doubt this. After all, she was present during LV 1. And also initially wanted a soap opera which in turn became NY 1.
The issue is when they're portrayed the same way as guys, but people like you judge them differently and look down on them for being human instead of hiding their feelings.
So having *** in a public place in a public restaurant on the first friggin' day of work, human? Not a chance.
I'm not going to lie, I wouldn't want to work on minimum wage. But then again the pizza place looks more like fun than work. I mean they came home drunk! Plus $20 in tips for what looked like an hours work, isn't bad.
I don't understand that logic. How can you be a Bad Girls Club reject if you're on the Real World? RW is step up from BGC. It's like saying an Ivy League student that he's a community college reject. Like... ?
Are you just trying to argue your opinion? Nia's casting tape displays behaviors from BGC. Not to mention her exposure of violence throughout the trailers. We have not seen her on BGC, which would make Camille's argument of Nia being a BGC reject accurate. It doesn't matter if you think RW is a step up from BGC. It's completely subjective, and doesn't negate Camille's "logic".
