I saw a Thomas promo earlier during the Rivals 2 marathon.
I hate to say it but if MTV cast more Adam Royer's,Ryan Leslie's, and Frank Sweeney's the viewers and ratings would go up. Why do you think Vegas was so good in viewers and rating because they had more then one person causing drama. You had Adam and Dustin, the main ones around drama, and then others who could bring in some drama and good storylines. San Diego flopped because there wasn't enough people to cause drama and different storylines they only had Frank. If Joi would've never left Portland would've have flopped just as bad because, at that point the only drama starter they had was Jordan, but then Nia came in and took over which helped. St.Thomas had to be the worst season as in viewers and rating simply because there was no one to start any drama.
Frank did not help San Diego. None of his fights had valid reasons and he looked like a straight up ***.
I think Frank is the reason we're in the spot we are now, actually.
The whole cast of San Diego is to blame.
The whole producer team is to blame.
In school I heard a group talking about The Real World and I started grinning because i've never met anyone in r/l who actually watches Real World or The Challenge and then he said "My favorite season was back to San Diego" and I almost threw up in my mouth and I had to walk away. #AllHopeLost
I can't believe they have the **** nerve to show a rerun/marathon and it's fairly recent. *** MTV/BMP/GOD. WHY??!?

And I remember the episode that centered around Jessica and Marlon had higher rating than the big Nia/Jordan fight episode.... Not sure why you think it's all about drama. Ratings have proven otherwise...

Ratings have proven otherwise...
One could argue that a major reason Portland's ratings were so low was a direct result of the San Diego and St. Thomas seasons. And for that matter, you could argue that certain episodes have higher ratings not because they're better, but because they followed more well-received episodes. If that makes sense. (For what it's worth, I don't disagree with you about drama not = ratings)
I think Frank is the reason we're in the spot we are now, actually.
I disagree with this statement, he maybe was one of the reasons why he season did bad. In my opinion that season had horrible casting. But it's production fault for boring ST.Thomas cast and story lines (In my opinion this season was worse than San Diego). While, Portland was better than st.thomas and San diego. I still think the cast wasn't that great even including Nia for me her drama was Fake and repetitive. It got old quickly plus it wasn't enetertaining. Blaming Frank for something that happened almost 3 seasons ago it's stupid. If it was followed by 2 better seasons the ratings would have been up just look at Real World DC to Real world New Orleans to Real World Vegas. The ratings went up after a season that had bad ratings (DC). I will blame production for the cast, boring story lines and Promotion.
The whole producer team is to blame.
I say the Cast because they lied and overhyped themselves in their casting tapes. The Producers even stated that they acted like they didn't want to open up on camera and film.
these producer are over thinking I guarantee if they put 4 or 5 black people in a house.. no im not calling black people crazy because im black myself but they would be more entertaining and real. for ex.(leroy, devyn, nia, latoya, coral, will, greg, etc) those people were entertaining, real, funny and some of them had a good story line. They need to try that next season I bet it will get over 3 million viewers on every episode

She was fake and she didn't attracted viewers, every episode of Portland were the worse rated of the series with or without Nia. Devyn wasn't that great on Real world, she even said it herself that she was to guard up. I like her on the challenges better for the funny commentary. I will say the same about Latoya atleast on The Real World part, since we haven't seen her on the challenges yet. Leroy is whatever in my opinion , I only remember his friendship with Mike Mike. Coral is the true and only REAL HBIC the Real World has ever had. Will was entertaining, Greg was annoying. I doubt it will get over 3 million viewers if everyone is the same race, the real world need some diversity in order to attract different type of viewers. In my opinion a great season would be something like Vegas 2 and Hollywood in my opinion those two seasons had a lot of diversity and people with some kind of real life issues/struggles.
Get back on topic, y'all.
I didn't realize they were still showing the full trailer during commercial breaks. I saw it during True Life earlier today. However, has anyone seen it air anywhere besides MTV and VH1 because it would help to air it on other popular networks.
I consider nia, will, and greg entertaining devyn and leroy was funny, and I didnt say put 7 black people in their I said 4 or 5 so it will still be diverse. I hope production tries that next season, but anyway lets get back to Real World: Explosion
Honestly its a good thing its being pushed forward a week because that means the challenge can start earlier
amen!
MTV is doing some hardcore promoting for this season on MTV - I see something during almost ever commercial break for this season, so that's good! - Not sure if they're doing promoting on other channels as well, I haven't seen any but that's something they should do if they're not already.. I think the ratings WILL go up, I just hope it's a good enough season so that the ratings stay up throughout the entire season.. I'm getting a little ahead of myself but this has me wondering if the Real World will always have a twist to it now..next season are they going to bring in the cast members worst enemies? best friends? siblings? add more cast members midway through? Are they going to bring the favorite 7 or 8 challenge fresh meat'ers from fresh meat 1 and 2 and make a real world season out of them? Are they going to have a real world all-star season where they pick 7 or 8 of the craziest real worlders and put them all together? ...they have a lot of options to work with.. I think the old school real world fans that have watched this show from the beginning won't like any of the new twists but the new real world fans (like myself) will enjoy the changes.. ...anyways it should be interesting to see where this show goes from here, I think it has so much potential to still be a great show
Honestly its a good thing its being pushed forward a week because that means the challenge can start earlier
not necessarily, they can start TRW on January 15th like intended, and just start the challenge a week earlier than intended. They can cut the break down in between TRW & The Challenge by a week, and still have TRW premier on the 15th, where there no other premieres airing
Well to bad its airing on the 8th, you complainting about it won't do anything. The ratings are going to be up despite your concerns.
There haven't been many adverts on MTV Canada at all.. at least not from what i've seen.. then again I rarely watch MTV anymore aside from TRW and The Challenge... these days its reruns of Ridiculousness and Teen Mom over and over again I still have hope for the season though... as always
Im just making a point
Don't know if this was posted anywhere... Jenny Cam | Video | MTV
I haven't like an a whole group of OG roommates since Las Vegas and i'm kinda sad they didn't just let this season be normal but oh well.
I haven't like an a whole group of OG roommates since Las Vegas and i'm kinda sad they didn't just let this season be normal but oh well.
I can guarantee you if this was the old format it would be a snooze fest. Aside from Ashley all the roommates were close so the season would have likely centered around Thomas and Jamie's relationship which is not entertaining to watch. My guess is that they will try and have the Exes appear by Episode 4 because nothing worth watching happened before they showed up.

But a lot of things did happened before the exes , but the drama surrounds mostly around Ashley. I will say by episode 4, since I know that somne stuff did happened before Ashley move out and the exes move in: Episode 1: Cast moves in , probably argument surrounding around Ashley. Episode 2: More drama around Ashley altercartion probably with Jamie/Thomas and probably Jay finding out about her mom. Episode 3: Ashley altecartion with Jenny, Probably when she moved out. Episode 4: Probably Exes moving in
I know all the spoilers, but keep in mind... this is not the spoiler thread.
For a moment I though it was the spoiler thread, I am sorry. If you read the cast bios and see the trailer they are not much of an spoiler there, other than the name of the roomate that moves out.
My point is that they wouldn't be able to stretch the Ashley drama for the whole season so if the Exes didn't show up the season would have went downhill. My only hope is that the Ashley drama keeps people tuned in until the Exes show up.
I hope for the same.
Can't stand Jenny already. In the trailer she looked like she had some meat on her bones but homegirl is all breasts...
Can't stand Jenny already. In the trailer she looked like she had some meat on her bones but homegirl is all breasts...
Is this an analogy, or just a really shallow reason to dislike her?
