Arielle stole this episode, I feel she is the only real from the whole bunch, everyone is trying so hard that it doesn't feel real anymore, specially Cory and jay.
that was just bad... like really really bad. I haven't learned a single thing about the cast members aside from who their exes are and who has money. I expected it to have some drama yes, but where is the heart anymore? This season will be the death of the franchise unless it experiences some kind of miracle.. So disappointed :(
So, can we figure out what happened here?
Was it a bunch of models and actors ferociously playing to cameras? Was it completely scripted? Was it a cast being prodded by production to act in certain ways? Or - and this is a long shot - are people actually this ridiculous in the real world?
Just finished, I loved every minute of it.
I love the new editing, the count down clock, the cast and all of it. I am prepared to read comments saying it felt too rushed but to each their own I guess. They edited out all the unncessary things and headed a step in the right direction to keep the show fresh like Survivor & Big Brother did on their most recent seasons. And surprisingly I enjoyed the premiere much more than I thought I would..
I love them all except that Ashley girl of course..

If Arielle wasn't lesbian i'd love to see her & Thomas together. I don't know the last time a white guy and a black girl had a legit relationship on the real world.
I'm a little disappointed in Cory for hooking up with Ashley but whatever I guess
I'm going to love Jenny & Jamie.
:)
I honestly liked it as a whole. I didn't like the whole showing the producers & camera thing and how they were like "in the afternoon" "the next morning" that was annoying but there was a lot going on.
Ashley is a mess. I can't stand her, crying and acting like the **** because she lives in San Francisco... I cant.
"Is she famous" hahah that was hilarious.
My favorites are Tom and Jenny. Jenny just seems hilarious. Everything she did was funny somehow.

Right, this is what I want to know as well. Because it certainly was not people being "real".
So, Ex-Plosion is a COMPLETELY different feel from Portland, or any other season of TRW. The first 10 minutes when they did the cast intros, I got a Jersey Shore vibe from it. I'm not really a fan of seeing the camera men in every scene and idk how to feel about the editing but, I still have faith in this season and I'll continue watching since I'm a huge RW fan.
Only people I like so far are Arielle, Cory, and Jenny. Ashley is a train wreck. When she was talking about how she basically "runs" San Fran reminded me of Natalie from Bad Girls Club proclaiming she runs LA.
I'm honestly just watching to pass the time from the Challenge.
People I like are Jay Arielle and Thomas
People I don't like are Jenny Cory and Jamie
Ashley is just crazy but I kinda like her.
Jenny reminded me WAY to much of Marie.
I liked it but tbh I'm mostly watching it to see who I'd like on the challenge.
Yeah the whole "27 DAYS TILL EXES COME" which they showed like 10 times... and "AFTER LUNCH"... "OUT AT NIGHT"... "AFTERNOON".... "LATER".... "MORNING"... they really need to cut that s*** out... Incredibly annoying!
Jay and Arielle are so far the only likeable ones in the house.
Maybe they just had the first week jitters. Hopefully the acting stops or becomes less obvious.
28 seasons before them have had first week jitters, and it has never been this painful to watch.
Personally I enjoyed it , It was better than D.C/St.Thomas and Portland premier which isn't saying much but still.
I like Arielle/Cory/Jenny/Thomas , I hope they are the only ones that do challenges.
Sucks to see so much negativity on here :(. Yep I guess like someone else said i'm in the minority. I personally can't stand when people say something is scripted just because drama happened so quickly and whatnot. If anything people may be playing up to the cameras and I can understand what some people are saying stating only a couple of them acted genuine, but at the same time they purposely cast type A personalities who are loud and like to drink. And clearly we saw what happens when they drink.. don't attack the whole franchise because a bunch of young kids are enjoying their first couple days in the house.
I respect the show for trying something new. I don't know why people blame producers as if they've changed the real world completely. If you take a look around you.. the whole world has changed. No matter how they cast and what format they do, the real world will never be like it's older seasons because society as changed. People have different morals. And frankly people and specifically MTV viewers aren't interested in the type of storylines they'd have back in the day. If you're not going to watch don't watch I guess but don't be mad when The Challenge gets cancelled if this flops!
The drama isn't the only reason it looked scripted. Cory, Jamie, and Jenny sounded like they was literally reciting lines. I'm still going to watch but I will call the BS when I see it.

I think all 3 of those season had better premiers. This just had too much going on. I feel like they're trying to fast forward the usual getting to know the cast stuff to get to the exes and all that drama.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jamie and Ashley text each other all the time while playing their "roles" publicly.

Well yeah that was really obvious they want to skip as fast as possible to the exes part. Which is understandable because that's what they promoed this entire time and that is what the new viewers want to see. But again I don't mind. They gotta do what they gotta do, the show is over 2 decades old, they've got to keep it fresh some way I guess. Again i'm not one of those fans who immediately turns on the series over small things like that so it didn't bother me one bit.

My thing is, they should not have promoted the exes just yet. Keep people on their toes, make the viewers think it's just another season then start promoting a surprise and a twist but don't say it yet, then BAM. Exes moved in. And they should've moved them in one by one. That would've been more exciting to me. And then they wouldn't have to edit it like this.
Jenny reminds me A LOT of Robyn from San Diego!
Anyways it's seriously irritating me how Cory is trying to make that fight between Ashley and Jamie about him. It wasn't even directed towards him, Ashley was drunk.

I hate the editing lol
I get why the promoted the exes like that because they are desperate for ratings...Lets see if their is an increasement on them tomorrow.
Honestly, if they just assembled the right cast, they wouldn't need to resort to these twists and stuff... But we'll see how it goes. If the ratings are good, then I guess I support revitalizing the show.
