Yeah, last season I think I enjoyed Jordan more because he was a rookie and was fighting to make the final and did very well, even if he made some mistakes. This season he's goten so arrogant. It's almost as bad as it was during Portland, though Nia made him comeoff as an anti-hero of sorts.

I thought Jordan was a good competitor last season but I never got why people liked him as a person...JMO

I loved Jordan last season but he is coming off really cocky and it is just the first episode. Him acting like he is going to send Bananas home and doesn't will be hilarious..
Not trying to get down on him for his physical handicap but Jordan has to be insane thinking he'd have a chance against Johnny Bananas in an elimination round when many of them are physical on The Challenge. Johnny's a big, strong guy and has already beaten big, strong guys like Mark and Dunbar on past shows. I just don't see somebody with one hand being too much of a threat to take him out.

Jasmine is beginning to become very sorry. Anyway was it me or was this episode lackluster? I missed the premierie but saw it from the stairs on up to the end? It reminded me of Road Rules South Pacific and poor Chet has no ******* idea what he's doing. He needs help.

I'm not really a fan of Chet but why are people solely blaming him for not solving the puzzle? The "team captain" role isn't really a significant position imo, but rather just the person that picks the teams. They are more of a figurehead than an actual role. The blame should be on all of them equally. At least Chet asked if they had any ideas to say something. The girls and Issac just kept moving pieces willy nilly. The black team won because Aneesa and CT stepped up and were strong leaders. They didn't allow their teammates to move the pieces around without their say.

I'm thoroughly disappointed in Laurel and CM facing off in the climbing elimination. I'd rather them not face each other at all, but had it been Balls In or Hall Brawl it would have been the female match-up of the season.

Team Nia. It's weird, I go back and forth between whether or not I like her. I think in person she is probably a pretty cool chick to be around, but her TV character "Hurricane Nia" can get out of hand, like her jabs at Coral a week or two ago, those were repulsive and unnecessary.
So these ratings... I hate to say this but I blame MTV/BMP forsure!
For starters, there should have been a special. That anybody's game and do's and don't videos could have been a 30 minute or hour long special hosted by like Mark and Susie. Then they should have aired Rivals II on Thursday. I also, don't like the Thursday night thing either. Maybe because I'm so use to Wednesday.
Next, I feel like The Challenges are really successful here lately when they have themes (Rivals and Exes) because they can promote them better and it can catch more peoples attention plus it leaves some people under the impression that there will be drama. With individual challenges I feel like it is harder to promote and then with the title being Free Agents which is cool but not great but makes sense with the format but still just not catchy. I kinda wish they would have just called this challenge "The Challenge".... and promote better!
If they do another individual challenge it needs to be done like Survivor where they start off as teams but instead of drafted teams it needs to be a theme that's cool and young and that they can promote well and attract peoples attention. I think Brains vs Brawns vs Beauty on The Challenge would be wayyyyy better than Survivor but something along the lines of that. I think BMP creates really good 3 team challenges versus 2 team challenges. I mean Cutthroat had some SICK challenges. So the first half they are in designated teams and then the second half they are individual and they can still add 1 or 2 partner challenges, how they form the pairs idk.
Hopefully, this season gets better so they can keep The Draw thing for at least another season because I like it and with a few changes it could be even better the second time around.

I agree that gimmick seasons are marketable, but they are not something that can sustain the show forever. If contrived pairings are the only thing that will bring in viewers, then the show needs to end now on a high note with Free Agents. I do think we will see an increase in ratings in the next few weeks though.

I see an increase in ratings too. But the gimmick themes are unfortunately marketable for many shows though. Its just what attracts some people. Its worked though.
