And I really want to see Oberyn do his thing!
This. Oberyn is my favorite character after Jaime. I've been more excited for that fight than I ever was for the Red Wedding.

I am sure Oberyn will still be seen since his story occurs in King's Landing, but those down in Dorne might just be talked about and not actually shown much. We will see where they go with it though.
Every time I hear the theme song, I yearn to learn the cello or maybe even pick up the viola again from my highschool days. It is so beautiful and melodic. In fact I might put the hunt for the sheet music on my to-do list for tomorrow!
I know everyone always snobbishly says, "The books are better than the show!", but that is the genuine truth in this case. The TV show is amazing, so just imagine how great the books are (to those fans of the show who haven't read them yet... like my boyfriend). Grr. :(
If Martin dies before he finishes writing, I'm gonna kill him.

What is dead may never die.
I think I may give it a ****. Hopefully HBO has them all on demand.
I am pretty sure they do. Just a warning, the first few episodes are slow paced because it is mostly character development.
I wouldn't say the books are strictly superior... on the tv show I can at least sort of look past the boring Bran storylines but I feel like I'm cheating if I skip them in the books so I have to muck through them. They also somehow manage to be a bit more exciting on screen than in the books. So +1 for the show in that regard.
My HBO On Demand only has season 3 right now... but maybe HBO Go has them? (Which you should have access to if you can get to on demand).

I expected that. I usually give any show 3 episodes. If I can't get into it by then I just give up.

Darn! I actually think HBO on demand and HBO GO have the same stuff. I may née to wait until the new season comes out. They usually put all of the old seasons up to get people to watch the upcoming one.

Arya Stark is dead? Thank god. She was the worst with the way she treated Joffrey in season 1.
I think it's been a great season so far. Partial bias on my part because it's been a Jaime heavy season and I'm a Jaime and Bronn fan. The fact that they got a scene together, which doesn't happen in the books, was awesome.
A little late to the game, but I just started reading the books and now I'm hooked! I'm going to pick up the first three seasons and binge watch once I finish reading.
Just finished up another show, so this is next on my list!
First few episodes are slow, but the show keeps getting better and better. Cast is also huge so keeping track of characters can be tough. I know that after Episode 6 or 7 I went back and rewatched the first few and had an entirely new appreciation for the show.
I watched all four seasons this summer and I love this show! My ex got me into it though, and I hope by next April I will either be with him again or no longer sad and associating the show with him lol. Idk who I will watch it with now :( but at least I have a long way until the fifth season!
This is one of my favorite shows right now! I watched all 4 seasons in about a month! I am so tempted to read the books but I heard they are super long! My favorite characters are Jon Snow, Tyrion, Dany, Ser Jorah and Jaime.
Season 4 is my favorite season. That fight between The Mountain and Oberyn was freaking awesome! I liked that Tyrion took matters into his own hands in the finale. Poor Jorah Mormont, I hope he finds his way back into Dany's good graces one day.
I can't wait for season 5. What do you guys think will happen?
I really don't think the Hound is dead. If they wanted him dead, they wouldn't leave it open ended. I want to see what new powers Bran will possess. Hope they bring back Rickon. I'm interested to see where Arya's journey to Braavos takes her. I'm most excited for Jon's alliance with Stannis and find out what Stannis is really doing there.

I can't really answer that objectively, since I have read the books. I will say though, that this season should coincide with Book 4, and that if it stays true to form, there will be a lot of new characters - and more importantly, new places - introduced.

Cool. Do the books take a long time to read? I heard season 5 and possibly 6 will use material from both the 4th and 5th books.

Ehhh, that depends. They avereage between 900 & 1100 pages a pop. I read 1-5 just in the time I was pregnant, and I was finishing book five while I was in labor.
I had a lot of free time on the weekends ;)

Oh wow! I don't think I can wait until April to get my GOT fill. So as soon as I'm done with the Divergent series I'll start on those books!

The books are great! I've been taking my time on them though. Trying to make the time before books 6 & 7 come out not feel so ridiculously long!
