Do whatever you want jaytee, di whatever you want...
Well since we are already off topic, what law school did you go to?
To add to this, kvm are you a prosecutor or a defense attorney?
Let's not start another argument about this before kvm has a heart attack. He has a law firm to run! Bottom line is you can argue all you want but I'll still always prefer to draw first then draw 2nd 3rd 4th etc... any day of the week based on what we've seen so far. And I hardly doubt they make cast members re-draw, or else we would have heard complaints or at least some hint that they were doing this from the cast. So this week and the next and next I'm willing to bet whoever goes first won't draw a kill card and in the event that they do, at the end of the season, I'll total up who got the kill card the most and those that went first will always have the least amount of times of drawing the kill card. Just wait and watch ;)
Right--you'd prefer to draw 1st because of superstition. That's fine if you want to do that. Don't act like it is at all rational or based on any kind of logic or fact. Assuming production doesn't mess with things, depending on how many people are in the draw (let's say 4), there is a 25 percent chance that the first person will draw the kill card. So you are giving yourself pretty good odds there. And if you tally it up at the end of the season and it proves you 'right,' what is it you're trying to say exactly? Math don't real?
To add to this, kvm are you a prosecutor or a defense attorney?
I don't think all or even most attorneys are trial lawyers. I could be wrong though.

The only reason I started saying if one person leaves the percentage gets higher was because I ignored the possibility that whoever goes first could draw it. I ignored it because for factors not known to the public maybe production set the cards up in a way so that the 1st card flipped will never be the kill card. Who knows? All I'm saying is that going up first is better than going up at any other instance based on what we've seen.

They need good tv so srawing a kill card later makes it intense and they drag it into commercials, trust me, editing is a beautiful thing.

I don't know how they would do that (set it up like that) but whatever. Maybe if they were doing things like telling certain people in the draw which card not to pick. I don't really think they would do that though.
i really wish they would've just had everyone in the draw line up and flip the cards at the same time so stupid debates like this wouldn't exist
Seeing how IAMNEMESIS literally disagrees with simple math makes me wonder if he's an elementary school dropout. And the fact that he's not the only one makes me scared for the future of humanity.
Come on you don't know peoples life this comment was not needed.

Just wait and watch ;)
If you prefer to go first, it is superstition, which is fine. The thing about going first is that you have to flip. There is a chance that the others won't have to flip at all. There has only been four draws, so it's not weird that the first person hasn't flipped the Kill Card. It's a small sample size. If The Challenge re-shoots "scenes" like other reality TV, they may re-shoot the draw. They don't re-draw, they just re-shoot the order. E.g., The flip order is determined and Isaac goes first. He flips the Kill Card. They want to draw out the suspense for viewers -- and have CT flip -- so they re-shoot the draw with CT and Cohutta flipping ahead of Isaac who will then flip the Kill Card, as he originally did. When it comes down to it, sample size and the possibility of production interference or editing plays a role in the outcome of the draw.

I don't think they're telling people which card to draw either. If there is production interference, it's likely editing... or if The Challenge re-shoots "scenes" like other reality TV shows do, they may re-shoot the draw. They don't re-draw; they just re-shoot the draw in a different order.
i really wish they would've just had everyone in the draw line up and flip the cards at the same time so stupid debates like this wouldn't exist
This would be great! In fact, I think it would be just as suspenseful, and there wouldn't be any speculation about editing.

Would be a lot of re shooting and would take away from the true sense of relief the players have when they don't flip the kill card. I'm sure at one point the first person will draw the kill card. The odds are the same for all, but I'd still much rather go first or last
35, Ivy League graduate (Penn), lawyer...only post at night when I have some free time and the kids/wife are sleeping. I know a few things...I know stupid when I read it. Oh and being intelligent doesn't mean one can't enjoy the simple things like reality TV
Small world - we have the same educational background and similar personal backgrounds. I thought I was the only old guy on this forum. :) It's cool how this forum can bring different types of people together. Also, agree on the fact that the Challenge can be a guilty pleasure for anyone (as it has been for me) regardless of career or educational background.

I feel like a drug addict yearning for his next hit, is it Thursday yet?!
I feel like a drug addict yearning for his next hit, is it Thursday yet?!
Gotta take it one day at a time like me. I waited four months for this **** season. Didn't watch a single episode of Ex-Plosion.
I feel like a drug addict yearning for his next hit, is it Thursday yet?!
The worst feeling is when they use to skip episodes because of holidays (thanksgiving?). I forgot, but I remember I was very upset when they showed a repeat because it was a holiday. This was in highschool so probably winter of 06. The duel I guess.
And a preview just graced my screen. Camilla looks like she's about to breakdown again tomorrow night.

But then like it didn't end up mattering because it was Thanksgiving and I wasn't watching TV anyways haha. But the worst break ever was on The Inferno. They had a to be continued for the episode where Kendal was gonna decide if she was gonna go in the Inferno against Leah and madness was about to ensue. Or maybe she already decided she was going in but the Inferno was TBC. But either way, I still remember this and 14 year old me was ****** at MTV for making me wait.

I like Jordan I really do. I was rooting for him and Marlon last year since the start of the season. But this time round he's making it very difficult to root for him. I hate Bannanas for the **** he's pulled over his challenge "career" and that will probably never change, and it should have been great seeing him in an elimination again for the first time since Cutthroat(?). But the way Jordan went about putting him in just made it hard to watch.
According to that interview with Johnny R., Jordan should be thanking his lucky stars that his boy was there. Sounds like Bananas, CT, and Zach all wanted him out and Johnny was at least able to get CT and Zach off his back initially.
How come people always forget banana's eliminations. After cutthroat, bananas was in an elimination on rivals 1 with CT/adam which was definitely a tough one but he survived. Also on Battle of the Exes, he went into another hard elimination round against Mark/Robin. So people saying that "bananas never faces elimination rounds" are clearly wrong. Also if you look at some of the competitors he beat in terms of "big guys", he took out dunbar in the ruins in a physical matchup. Lastly, the reason why bananas doesn't go in many elimination rounds is bc he WINS CHALLENGES, thus he usually has immunity! That's the whole point.
I like Jordan I really do.
